@Jayo Delaware - This actually is healthy. She clearly stated in the video that she's using homemade cashew milk, and that people can use the milk option/alternative of their choice. There are also non-dairy yogurt options available for the small amount of yogurt in the recipe. You're being negative for no reason, and you obviously didn't even bother to pay attention to any details in the video because she mentions the cashew milk and non-dairy yogurt at the very beginning.

I don’t normally leave comments, but I had to give my thoughts on this video. This is probably the best recipe for overnight oats I have tried (and I’ve tried tons). This is a great base recipe to do whatever you want, with whatever flavor you want. The consistency is perfectly smooth, and still very substantial. Almost pudding-like. The perfect size for single serving. I can’t say enough about this recipe. Simply perfection. All the recipes on this channel are perfect and work perfectly every time. Seriously!!!

🙂 Been having these for breakfast for a few years now. They are extremely satisfying, because they give slow release energy and stop you snacking. If I eat it at 7.30am, it keeps me going until lunch at 1.30pm. I use just under half cup of organic raw steel cut oats, a handful of mixed raw trail mix (dried dates, seeds, nuts) and vanilla almond milk to soak overnight. In the morning add some yogurt (optional), and cinnamon, and maybe some fresh fruit (if I have any on hand). Favourite combos are : grated apple with walnuts, blueberries with a dollop of peanutbutter, or banana with walnuts. Really loving both walnuts and hazelnuts in the mix.

Is the yogurt just used to lend tanginess here? Or is it more of a chemistry thing, where the bacteria within are used to “break down” the oats for aiding digestion or something?

I usually put it into a bowl and warm it up in the microwave then top with sliced bananas, when available. I can buy 4 bunches of bananas and they will be gone before the end of a week. seven adults and two toddlers who all love bananas. The oats still hold their form and don't get mushy. I still cook steel cut oats. Sometimes for a different taste sensation, I will cook them in strong coffee instead of water. Of course also add water other flavor items I like during the cooking.

Oats are such a good source of good carbohydrates and very easy to digest too. Very healthy recipe

Thank you, this is great! I always struggle with breakfast ideas, as my stomach won't accept most things in the morning. I will definitely try some of these options.

For me a real struggle is eating fridge cold food so I pop my overnight oats in the microwave and it helps a lot. 🥰

Omg - thank you for these combinations. I am loving them. I had been making overnight oats for a while but they never really tasted that great, and that’s not motivating to keep making them. But these flavors are sooo good and I am really looking forward to waking up tomorrow to eat my breakfast!

Recently, I started making this with half cup oats, half cup milk, quarter cup yogurt, 1tbsp shredded coconut, 1tsp honey and 1tsp vanilla extract. It's really good. I swapped the chia seeds for coconut and mapel syrup for honey since I don't like them.
