usually when people press dumbbells and it hurts its because there pressing behind the shoulder blade instead of tucked under or Infront of the shoulder so what they do to correct this is they tilt there wrist slightly keeps there elbows slightly inwards and keeps the shoulder blade tucked as they press.. if your current movement doesn't hurt and your wrist is properly stack at 90 degree angle going down the arm then your fine
