Idk if you say this as a joke, but I agree with it. Look at VR chat and the like. People don't like being themselves. I'd like to be my PFP, for example
Just tried a demo, the eye and hand tracking is definitely the biggest feature to me. For the average person this makes such a big difference vs other headsets. I know it's not the first to do any of that, but just the ease of use and way it's presented. It is kind of heavy on your face, that's a very fair critique. The way it locks things in space is spacially is also really impressive compared to other headsets I've tried. At the end of the day though this kind of feels like a super immersive iPad. Meaning it's great for content consumption and the same kinds of stuff most people use an iPad for. I can see it turning into a more versatile device with a few iterations and more time for app development. Also, spatial video will be a popular application once everyone can shoot it on their phone.
Aboout the eye and handtracing... All I've seen is it's a little better then grab and poke with quest 3 not to mention controller hands which are OP but when you use the quest 3 like AVP by having your hand at your side is only 20% worse but the pro is you only need one hand not a htwo hands and eyes... So the AVP control sceme is far worse that Quest in use even but new users as you can't just reach out and interact with a menu like attablet/phone... you must do this super convuloted thing instead which even VR enthuists don't all use easly.
I don't think the price will be reduced. It will just like the apple Iphone 1. When it came as 500 dollars at the beginning and from then the price went up.
I had a demo at my local store, this thing really wow me, it's the most amazing piece of tech I ever try in my life yet, this is the most exciting thing apple ever released yet, it's like you have the IPhone, Mac, IPad, AirPod, apple TV and more in one piece of tech, it might not be for the mass public yet, it's still not perfect, it's a first generation product, it might feel weird to use in public but if you really into tech, love apple products and don't mind dumping thousands of dollars on it, trust me you will love it. Will definitely get one myself, this is truly the feature.
Some can’t wait for new tech and then when we get it they can’t wait to pick it apart. I think this is an excellent first step for Apple attempting spatial computing with all its flaws. Can’t wait for the next step.
@BrandonTalbot 🤣 With the amount of time devoted to blatant shilling for Apple... this is related to Apple paid up and Meta didn't. I own both headsets. I feel like a lot of the issues with this are fixable. Even stuff that seems integral to the device -- typing only in the window you're looking at. Does it actually have to be that way? Surely not. You could have a setting where you click somewhere to type and the cursor stays there until you click a window, like on a Mac. You could even come up with some kind of toggle system where you turn on or off the eye following, kind of like how you do an orientation lock on an iphone, or the little mute switch on the side. This could be a gesture, a tap on the side of the Vision Pro, or even like a ring you wear with a physical button on it or something. There are a lot of ways they could modify this to make these things less annoying.
So much like the Newton, or the earliest computers. I look forward to whoever comes up with the Visicalc, the Photoshop, or whichever of the VisionPro.

I’m kind of upset no one ever compares this to the HoloLens from back in the day. It had a lot of things that the Vision Pro does “new”. I’ve got one MKBHD if you want borrow it
Not only that, after Kipman got fired most of the HoloLens team left for Apple or Meta. Without mentioning the history of this market, a lot of these videos/reviews come off as less than comprehensive and accurate. It'd be disingenuous to talk about the invention of the first iPhone and not mention the Blackberries and the Palm Treo's that came before it; to me this seems like a similar level of omission.
"Just take it off" - couldn't agree more! Real eye contact, and attentive listening are basis for effective and respectful communication, and are things we cannot afford to lose...
@mike_33gtspec wise it's way ahead of all the competition, but capability wise it's the same of not behind more recent quest, vive, and valve headsets
@mike_33gtto me it's really not worth the price. I can just buy a quest 2 (which I did) and play the games and have the entertainment for only a few hundred dollars. If you're such a big apple fanboy, you should absolutely know that it's more than just the specs. 🤷♂️
Meta Quest = weak mobile chips. Vavle Index = Overpriced ancient techs even when it released for 1 year. I cannot buy Vision Pro I had to admit but it is quite amazing of a product with a propper pc chips and far better interface menu than your regular limited 3 screens stuck together like the Quest which could be a lot better with update
@@toututu2993 Yeah I cannot understand how underrated the proper PC chip it had is. People ate treating this like its a phone in a headset, when it has two processors
It is amazing tech with several cool features. But after the initial testing period I cant stop thinking if the Vision Pro is something I will prefer watching videos, surfing the web, typing text, writing emails or calling my friends with. Or will it just be a very expensive gaming VR headset and useless except as a show off for us who dont play.
I continue to be amused by revisionist history on the first generation iPhone. I was working at a cell phone manufacturer at that time and I will attest that the iPhone 1 completely changed the industry within a week of launch. Everyone was trying to figure out how Apple did it and how to rebuild their portfolios. Those that didn’t don’t exist today.
29 yr old here: Nah I'd take them off (Same as headphones with passthrough). It IS kinda rude - whether they're trying or not, it definitely makes the live interaction more difficult for both people.
So did Apple over hype and set expectations too high for the AVP. Would it be better if Apple played down the AVP and let the first experience beat the expectations of Gen 1 buyers. Two different Marketing approaches did Apple choose the right one?
I dont think phones are boring. It's just people always look at Iphone and similar products. All the foldables have (had) different and interesting approaches. Especially regarding the UI.
I’ve noticed Mac dislike is usually from the people who prioritize gaming. They cannot comprehend how anything so terrible at gaming can be considered “good” and (gasp) cost more! Now it’s moved over to the Vision Pro. It’s not a gaming headset and it doesn’t even try to be and yet, people are saying it’s BETTER than the Quest. Spatial computing will one day include gaming but after watching over 10 years of gaming headsets, Apple decided it was time to introduce spatial computing headsets.
/Anyone who don't do stuff you can do on a crome book... Like My 2021 windows workstation that cost $6k back then would anlate any mac at anything really including gaming.
the eyes on the outside screen are not the actual eyes but eyes from the 3D avatar ! Hence the reason to make the outside screen barely visible .. so you cannot make out. There is no way to show actual eyes on outside screen.. even with cameras tracking eyes within.. without projecting lights onto them. 😎
The future update would definitely support multiple Mac screens and probably apps like Spotify projecting from Mac to the vision pro as a standalone app
When will iHealth be available to cure the blindness this will cause? I don't recall any doctor in the history of man kind telling anyone to hold their phone 2inches from their face for several hours a day.
Yes, it’s something Apple did different because the last five years they’ve been sleeping. The problem is when you have competition like the quest three that is almost as clear as division pro but with so much to do it’s a hard sell. And yes, I own the quest to the quest three I had to quest pro. I have the PS five VR, and I actually have, the Apple Vision Pro, although not sure if I’m going to keep it because after playing with it for two hours, there was nothing left for me to do. Yes, I like the cool little dinosaur movie but it was four minutes long and it was only one and yes, you could watch regular 3-D movies But I’m not wearing this big thing which isn’t so comfortable after two hours to watch a movie I’m just not I have big screen TVs in my house and everyone could watch it with me and I could watch movies on my quest three. I downloaded some games on the Vision Pro and the Lego game was one and it was terrible. It was like a virtual reality game from back in the day and I know you could download a race car for your living room again something in 10 minutes you’d be bored to death. I’m gonna get out my review in the next few days of an average person not a RUclips mega star who gets these things for free so they don’t need to have any value somebody who actually paid for it and somebody who has all the other VR systems to compare it to they were really only a very very little bit clearer than the quest and I say very little. I like the material but that material also makes it very heavy. It’s metal and glass. For an average person like me, if I do not return it all you could hope for is they come out with something cool before your glasses get outdated and the second version is out. I’ll tell you not having controllers is a big deal doing everything with your fingers is not as smooth as everyone makes it seem to play real games you need controllers version two will probably come with controllers because without them you’re missing the biggest segment in VR, which is the games I don’t care what anyone else tells you working with these on all day is not comfortable or practical actually the met quest three a little more comfortable than the vision pro the Vision Pro hurt my nose almost right away. Hopefully I get my real world review out in a few days and I’ll let everyone know if I’m keeping it and I actually found something else to do with it or will I keep it with the hopes of something new Coming or will I just return it stay tuned.
All the apple fan boys here about to drop $3499 for a headset that can't do everything the $500 quest 3, hell the $250 quest 2 can do! Yeah, I'm just going to keep my meta quest and enjoy having a wider field of view and actually be able to use it for more things because while it can do hand tracking and AR, it can also do VR games because of the inclusion of CONTROLERS! Also, since the headset runs on android I can sideload any apps and games I want, instead of being stuck with the closed down ecosystem of IOS and its shit app store.
Apple releases a product that has odd design choices that make it limited in value: "Such courge apple!" Anyone else makes the best product they possibly can with in hard current tech limits:"Ew, nasty peasant over there!" Like where were you guys when Apple lunched the Apple Pippin which was an honest attempt as a game's console and was worth it because they tried... But died because it just wasn't Nintendo or a PlayStation... Like seriously where were you guys back then?
Sorry your 100% wrong on the old iPhone. I have it and if they would have kept up grading it I would still be using it. The new iPhones don’t even compare to the old one. The old games were so much more fun. They keep saying better but a big not! When you have to keep buying the new version of the game you been playing but it is not the same, and it is not more fun then the old one, it is less fun. All I ever hear from you is a cool new cameras the iPhone is getting, and how we want that. But I never heard anyone ever say anything about the cameras on any iPhone, or use the cameras on any of their iPhones. One a girlfriend for got her camera so she used her iPhone. When she got home I had to take her to print her photos. She loved the photos but she went right back to her camera for her next trip. All the people I meet only use the selfie camera on the iPhone, and that never gets a better camera. So keep saying we want better cameras. But I would love if they cared that we are missing half of my music and a way to take the music off our old iPhone and put it on our new iPhone.
Yeah... We all expect the boring things. Like 3d movies, games, 3d work space (not flat screens). And I never trust the promise of the future. Especially from Apple.
Do you find it rude to look at someone through sunglasses? Or is it the potential for content to be in the AirPods or Vision Pro despite Eyesight or Transparency mode that bothers you?

I don’t agree that this is a MacBook on your face, it’s more or less an iOS/iPadOS on your face that is limited, I’m still frustrated that my M1 iPad cannot run Ubuntu or Parsec or VMware, or full Davinci Resolve or After Effects even though it’s technically capable! That’s exactly the problem with Vision Pro! It’s an M2 chip computer that can’t run Virtual Machine, install Premiere or blender. It can’t even create multiple user accounts on the same device!
@@PumpUptheJam81bro, multi user computers are around us since the 90's. It's not that hard. Even a 300$ toy like the Nintendo switch let you have multiple users on the same device. If apple is selling this as a "Spatial computer" then let me have a computer. If not, it's just a glorified iPad
@@marcospenadev I remember my first 486SX too. I just don’t understand your complaint when this is the Apple path for years. Sure, they could have spared us the suspense and left out the “computing” marketing drivel. But this is just as personal a device as an iPhone, which does not even have a guest mode (AVP does btw to at least showcase the tech).
It should be "because Apple wants me to"
Expensive? I dont think version 2 will get any cheaper. Lol. Apple will be charging 5k for it soon.
The macbook air m2 is faster than the vision pro
I am looking forward to the day when Marques takes those stupid Ski Goggles off....
I love this clip because its title is grammatically flawed (It’s).
It's not Its ;)
Remind me in 2027…
Lol. Double head strap.
I'll just stick to my psvr2 and play my games lol
Wired to console and limiting with few softwares. Nice!
@@toututu2993 sure that's one way to think of it but the psvr2 is the only head where I can hand it to someone and see their gameplay on the TV or turn a game like Moss into a family activity or play all of my Playstation games on. The wire is a limit sure but you look less goofy when people can see what your doing.
@@deonrose6132 And how can other headset not be to do such basic features that any device including old flatscreen can do it too?
You can tell Andrew is anti-Apple, every single thing he said about the AVP was negative.
Apple boys being apple boys.
It’s just people into tech being into tech. Everything else is growing a bit stale.
Pretty sure it just came out, so there are decades of development ahead for your wishes to come true.
If you allow multiple user accounts you don’t sell as many units. Besides, I don’t want to share my face computer thing with other humans with unique face shapes for the seal, or optics for my glasses etc.. The iPad sucked for work stuff for years until the last few years when developers finally started taking IOS more seriously (and it is still behind many desktop counterparts). Just relax, it’s a toy as of right now that none of us actually need, bro.
@@PumpUptheJam81see, that's the problem. It's clearly a mobile device and a gimmick toy but they're marketing as "spatial computer" and a boost in productivity.
As OP said, even with tablets you don't have many options for professional software beside creators and office work.
Apple must be paying you a lot to not only tell everyone how good their "FLAWED" product is but also wear them on a semi permanent basis, did you factor in the cost of new eyes and plastic surgeon to remove those inevitable dents in your cheeks ? 😉
Well at the very least it looks like they bought everyone Macbooks
@@YolkaholicProductions I'm sure he could always sue for facial injuries, or perhaps join a class action lawsuit 😆
7:25 I find it extremely rude, if someone tries to talk to me with one of these on, I will ask them to take it off and look me in the eyes lol
What like headphones, or you know glasses?
with both of those examples you can see the other person's eyes. And also if someone is talking to me, I take my headphones off.
@@ParchutingPanda Your not autistic I'd imagine etheir and you don;'t really with transitions or sunglasses or a vail, a hood, a hat a phone, sky goggles.
not sure what that would have to do with this
I think making eye contact with someone is respectful. I don't think you can do that without taking the Vision Pro off before talking to someone. That's my opinion. You can disagree. Have a nice day.
when apple removed head phone jack on phones everyone thought Apple is crazy this is stupid bla bla and look now.
Yeah Its fucking unpractical
They sold a bunch of Airpods instead?
Do you tell people or everyone to take off their sunglasses because it’s rude? What if they are legally blind?
the ecosystem is making it even worse tbh
🤔 Microsoft hololens is more useful... 👌
I believe we are all complaining about the wrong thing. They need to make it cheaper
Meh this product is so niche and not revolutionary at all. Overpriced and overhyped goggles.
They are trend setters.
You love Vision Pro because you're Apple's pet
😅😂
Yeah how is the quest 3 not flawed yet is a great vauale? Like itf you like quicky stuff why not like the quicky stuff that is good?
Bro please stop with vision pro vodeos.
Its overrated
