Xiaozhuo Wang - Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 6 in B-flat major (Op. 18 No. 6)

Brighten your day with our 2024 participant Xiaozhuo Wang with a glimpse of her rendition of Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 6 in B-flat major (Op. 18 No. 6). She gave this performance together with the Lotus Quartet during the semifinal round of our Stuttgart International Violin Competition 2024.☀️
Xiaozhuo, born in 2007, started playing the violin at the age of 3. In 2016, she was accepted into the Shanghai Conservatory’s music middle school. She began her studies in Vienna at the age of 12. Her most important teachers include Dora Schwarzberg and Boris Kuschnir. She is currently studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
In 2023 she won 1st prize at the 5th International Zhuhai Mozart Competition. In 2022 she won 1st prize at the 16th Arthur Grumiaux Violin Competition and was a finalist and special prize winner at the international string competition Classical Strings. In 2021 she won 3rd prize at the Wieniawski-Lipinski International Violin Competition and 2nd prize at the Ernst Szymanowski International Violin Competition.
She won the 1st prize of the Fengling Cup of the National Youth Violin Competition and the Gold Prize of the HaiQu National Violin Competition. In Stuttgart this year we were delighted to see her make 4th prize.
