Theres also the question of forged vs "forged". Forging the neck or the face does not a forged club make, at least in my mind. I have always preferred that one piece forged feel but have come around to Multi materials like T100.

Also don’t think T100 is true one piece forged iron😢

Thanks for a great explanation of this. I have always wondered about this or as I’ve seen more players over the years going to cast long irons. And it actually only makes 100% sense. New subscriber here.

A good cast club feels amazing as well. i210/i230 is one but even in history, the Titleist 962 to 990 have great feel in a cast players club.
    Vokeys are cast too.

question, were the lofts the same?? which as we've seen make a big difference in spin and launch, distance, etc, in my experience Ping has the worst sounding irons I've ever tryed, 2 swings and it was on to next iron, great company for being geared towards forgiveness and better dispersion then othe big name companies, but idk ill take care of dispersion, forgiveness myself, sound , looks and feel to me are the most important, ill make any club work after a while but if the feel and sound are off, can never game it!! my opinion Miura, forged all the way, not even close with what I perfer!! thanks guys nice job!

Miura the best Forging?! Mizuno hasn’t say anything yet! Miura r separating forging, the neck & head! But Mizuno is grain flow forging! U guys need to do some home work about Japanese Forging😅

What about forged cavity backs like the titleist 620cb. Does a forged cavity back imply there is some hollow inside the club or it is just a name to describe how weight has been moved around

Cavity back refers literally to the back, not a hole inside the club. A cavity back moves metal from directly behind the sweet spot to the perimeter. This is done to make the club more forgiving, so a shot out near the toe is not penalized as much as it would be if you used a traditional blade.

Fully forged is buttery, everything else can't and doesn't feel as good fact
