Really nice one, I love it! The abrupt dissonance at 1:34 really surprised me, but for the best! This particular section sounds so sinister and it does work so well. I also felt that the 2:26 to 2:29 moment is where you kinda mess it up a bit. After listening to it a few times, I do think it adds something quite unique to this part (hence to the piece) and it doesn't bother me at all. Awesome job as always! :D
Thanks so much! :D That dissonance was definitely way less pronounced in the original, but I thought it would give a cool effect on the piano! And you spotted the moment where I messed up completely haha it actually stems from 2:16 where I lost a bit of focus and slipped, which kinda bugged me and lead to me completely breaking apart in 2:26 x) But happy to hear it was not too distracting in the overall picture!
The man, the legend! I was hoping you would find your way to my MIA covers because you got me into all this to begin with! Happy to hear you loved it :D

Unique interpretation of this piece! I wanted to leave a comment behind to exchange some thoughts and ideas that you may or may not like (hopefully like) regarding the intents and purposes of your description. Note I have no intention to undermine your arrangement, only to share ideas that I hope you like! A long time ago, I was working on a Made in Abyss medley that I dropped due to a lack of time on my part. One of the pieces I arranged was this and, with respect to the title, played on the motif of layering and texture addition. For the early parts where the melody is harmonic, I added variation to how that melody was played but also literal layering with reverberation heavily inspired by Pachelbel's Canon. The middle part where it can be crazy difficult can be achieved with four hand technique which at that point you can see why this medley needs quite some time and commitment and thus the drop. I still have the arrangement recorded on audio and am happy to send your way a privated video of my take on this piece if you'd like to share the idea. Given that you've been a really big supporter and attention giver to the motif exploration and artistry I give in my videos, I wanted to see if I could do the same for you if you'd so like. Let me know on Discord and I'm wishing you all the best and great job on this!
Very interesting and unique arrangement. I especially liked what you did there with the right hand which might even already be considered three hand technique. Really appreciate your work! Would it be okay if I cover this piece? I shouldn't begin a new piece now as I'm working through animenz pieces but this arrangement just won't get out of my head :)
Thank you so much for the nice comment! Calling that section "three hand technique" might indeed be a bit of a strech but there are definitely 3 voices at play x) And my man, if you can give proper credits to me I would be very happy to have you play this!! I've always been curious to see and hear how other pianists would interpret my arrangements :D So have at it~ sheets are readily available in the description ;D
Magnifique performance 🎹👌👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
