This version of The First Layer is so calming and gives off such a different vibe from the original that I had to just sit and listen to it, not doing anything and not moving a muscle. My love and longing for the Abyss upon hearing this returned and I felt homesick in a sense. It was a weird yet nice feeling
God Im so hyped for season two, even though it's probably gonna happen in like 5 years due to a chapter coming out every 3 months 😅
Yeah, I think they might have enough content for a season 2 by now though, also "hear" season 2 has been confirmed. Loved the series, had to buy all the manga after watching the show and the movie, God bless Tsukushi.

Well considering that the chapters are actually coming out faster and it seems like Tsukushi has some help (Idk it's just speculation), we might be getting that 2nd season earlier than we expected. I'm going to assume by the time this newest volume is finished (which I'm going to guess will be around 2022 give or take), we'll have enough for a season 2 And I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last season of MiA and the 7th and bottom of the Abyss are adapted into a movie or two

AAAAAAAAH, I just can't contain my hype for Season 2!! Made in Abyss is an absolute masterpiece and no-one can deny that! It's my all-time favourite anime and I'm just shaking with excitement for Season 2!

Best anime i had ever watched everything about this is just so good the osts , the characters , the world building , the manga and everything Loved this show so much, Just wished that the manga was a bit fast.

This could easily be used in a scene where the characters are reminiscing about the First Layer, just remembering how innocent they used to be and how ignorant they were to what truly lays in the depths of the Abyss, especially after what’ll be covered in season two on the Sixth Layer. With the Fourth Layer track being a callback to the First Layer track, calling back to it again would make perfect sense during the final descent to the Seventh Layer.

They will start at 6th layer and stay for a while. 7th layer content has still not dropped in manga, so it is likely that they will either do a season or movie for 6th layer.

@@thelivingcat0210 Dawn of the Deep Soul, yes. There were 2 other movies that were just long recaps. The last few episodes is season 1 took place in layer 4, then DotDS took place in layer 5, with the ending being them beginning to go to the 6th layer.
My first comment under this thread was explaining in non-spoiling ways, "season 2." The author of this thread was probably making a joke (crying laughing emoji gave it away).
