Not to mention the sound effects, the animations, facial expressions are all so well made, it looks freaking expensive and totally not a single laziness about them. They can take as much as time as they can for animating the series, a masterpiece cannot be rushed.

Stop giving yourself excuses, and just sit down for 15 minutes to practice! Sorry if this came across a certain way haha. It's the kind of encouragement I would give myself.

I remember the days I used to practice 3+ hours a day... I have lost a lot of that drive and am not even remotely close to my old regime now... But going to start with trying atleast 30 minutes a day, wish me luck. And good luck learning the piece!

Polyrhrythm is extremely difficult if you don't have the ear for it... for me it helps to slow down and just focus on the order the notes are played in first, and then practice those notes in the correct order. Start with a few notes, maybe just 3-5 notes (not even a whole phrase) and just repeat that until you get it, then slowly add more notes to the sequence until you get it. Take breaks often; when you come back for another session you'll notice that it's easier. It can take a lot of time, but if you stay committed to it it's doable :) I've been using this video to learn the song for the last 3 or 4 months and I'm only about halfway through, but I'm getting it, bit by bit. Gotta be patient and determined.

I think getting the foundations down first will be very important (proper finger placements, scales + increasing your dexterity, scales, starting with simple pieces and reading sheets, and more...). I am self learned for the most part, there are many recourses today available but to start from ground zero, I think a teacher would be most efficient. You want to ensure you have a teacher that really knows what they are doing so search carefully if you decide to get one... Otherwise, many recourses are online. I just chatgpt'd "how to learn piano from scratch" and it gives a lot of good pointers/resources. When I picked up piano again on September 2017, I started in the same boat as you, picking up random anime songs and working my way up from there. Good luck with your journey.
