@@renesanse9364 yes I think I know what you mean, i have the same with Angels of Death (even though I didn't felt really empty after finishing it a few Months ago). But if you feel somehow sad or bad when you think about this anime, trust me in a while you will remember with good memories and it will make you feel good about it

There is no anime as good as terror in resonance and you cannot change my mind. The depth and the emotion it left you with is unreal. I couldn't stop thinking about it for at least a week after I finished it, it melted me into my own mind
I'm glad we are all connected by this beautiful piece. even if we dont see eachother, our reason is the same: in the search of harmony with ourselves and the ones around us

I don't know why but I have a strange addiction to Zankyou no Terror. I don't know how to describe it but my thoughts always make their way to it and I don't experience that with anything else in my life. I grasped onto it for a reason I don't fully understand and now it is the show that has had the biggest influence on me and I can't figure out why.
Dude this is exactly how I felt when I watched it like a year ago and to this day I still feel it. Glad someone else feels the exact same way

I feel the same. I think for me, it transports me back to my own childhood. The wish to have your pain recognised, to be seen and heard, was something I resonated a lot with, growing up with severe chronic pain from eight years old. I felt like Twelve and Nine represented two sides of my feelings - Nine, an anger and coldness towards the world, the doctors who didn't care, my family who didn't understand, the teachers that ignored me, peers who were more healthy - and Twelve, a childish curiosity towards the world, a desire to make friendships despite feeling different, a warm and bright feeling that there is beauty and kindness in the world if only you look closely.
I eventually found some comfort in studying and my hobbies like learning programming and Japanese. In three months I will graduate with a master's degree in neuroscience and neuroimaging. I have come far, I guess, but I still feel that loneliness and emptiness inside that never really leaves you when something really bad happened to you in the past. So I often come back here, to listen to music from a cold land. Perhaps one day, I might meet someone who listens to the same kind of music, and we can sit together in the sun, looking at a clear, blue sky with birds flying by, chirping, feeling the warmth of the sun on our skin.
Same feeling.. especially that Lisa's line.. the only part that, i think, stays with me, still
And especially that lonely summer vibe, all that really ties up and makes me remember it every now and then. Logically, i wouldnt say there is something special about this anime, but it was the first of its kind that i watched. And it's perfect for me

Even after 2 years of listening to this it's still such an absolute banger, especially Von (Outer Echo) bonus, I highly suggest you all download this asap cause I can't find a single video with the outer echo bonus track in it, so if youtube deletes this video it will be gone forever.

in zankyou no terror we have some of the peak of depression and melancholy of yoko kanno's piano compositions, there is also some jazzy songs in wolf rain and in ghost in the shell stand alone complex, but i think the depressive/melancholy ones were top notch in zankyou no terror.
