It’s funny to me how many people give their opinions on an instrument that they’ve never held in their hand. I have a fender, elite Stratocaster and telecaster, and they are by far the sickest instruments I’ve ever had or played. I can only imagine what it would be like to play this new line of guitars. Thank you Fender and a big CONGRATULATIONS!!! For always stepping up your game!!!
I tried them at a local guitar store and they're really nice. The neck is really good and fast, they really did a good job with this line. I'm gonna buy one soon.
I love your video. Most reviewers have a really bright light that makes the guitar looks too bright and the pickup looked white but your room is a little darker which makes the guitar look better than pickup actually looks gold.
The neck on these Ultras are so good. I sold my 2023 Ultra regrettably because I wasn’t a fan of the pickups but these new ones sounds better. Not sure how much different there is physically but one could get the Ultra I and swap out the pickups. The problem with the Ultras is they are way overpriced. The Ultra 1 sold for $2,499 and used you’d find them at $1,400-$1,600 all day long, practically new.
Nice playing, you made it sound good. Although most of the other demos I listened to, the pickups sounded a bit shrill. I have an American professional ii HSS. It's one of the best Stats I've owned.
I have this exact guitar in solar flare color. The pickups are not shrill at all. In fact, they are darker than I would like (at least the neck and middle). I'm very tempted to change those two the the ultra vintage noiseless pickups, rather than what is in it (ultra hot noiseless pickups). It all depends on what sound you're after, but I find the hot noiseless to not sound as "stratty" as I would like. Hopefully the ultra vintage noiseless will give more "strat quack." Other than the pickups I love everything about the guitar. Neck is great, feels great, everything is top quality.
I tried the Fender American 2 in my local guitar shop and to be honest was disspointed with the feel of the neck, felt the same as my Charvel Pro Mod San Dimas Style 1 HH FR which I had to have the edges of the neck rolled slightly because after playing for a hour it would hurt my left hand. Sinc e I had that altered it's a lot better but deffinatly would not buy a guitar with that kind of neck again, If you do try one out make sure to spend a hour on it at the music shop before you drop two grand on one of these.
I want this guitar but in fact not stainless frets here vs ibanez vs Yamaha no boost, no 3 voices hb like they did before (70 th edition) no good trem = no flutter here no infos about the output of the haymaker vs modern ultra tap ( and no loss with coil split) and I hope it's stay more in tune than the ultra 1 with this better nut by Graph Tech TUSQ and new tuners-trem for me it's better to see ibanez az2204 and Yamaha Pacifica pro (for having had the ultra 1 hss)
Look man, I love Fender, but for the price and specs, they are trying to compete with Suhr, and idk if I would recommend an ultra II over a suhr. It feels like Fender is afraid of going all the way with the modern take. For example, no stainless steel frets in 2024/2025 at that price point and for the market they are going for is just not justifiable.
@@alcovitch if you are going to compete with the big boys, bring the big guns, not this half measure BS Fender is constantly pulling. Why pay for an ultra when you can grab a Suhr? Think about it
@@humiut2041 i think they didnt do much marketing with Ultra Luxe. They introduced it and just treated it like a special run of Ultra series guitars. No commitment whatsoever
@@Pyriander Ultras are much better than HB. I have both. Guitars don't break if they are not roasted. No guitar was roasted actually until recently. It is cool thing nowadays, yes, but common. The most iconic instruments in history are not roasted and don't have stainless frets.
Let’s see..if I upgrade my new Fender player II Strat with 15 € graph tech nut 70€ locking tuners 150 €Fender case 142€ deluxe tremolo 200€ Fender Noiseless Set Strat Vintage PU’s =442 euro. I paid €900 for my Player. I would pay around 1500 euro with upgrades.. saving me still a 1200 euro. And I get a chambered mahogany body with my Player II…but no compound radius neck. The Ultra is made in USA probably by Mexicans. My Player is made by Mexicans, paid less than their American cousins, for sure. I think i got a good deal especially if i dont do the upgrades. And mine comes WITH a trem bar! LOL
thats not only a fair take but also very true bro, I agree with you! the guitar looks cool but I dont know if its worth the extra 1200 euro like you say, I also have a player II and I have updated it already or upgraded the parts you mention pretty much
Chambered are really nice. But you can't compare a Fender Player II with an Ultra II, even with the upgrades. I have both, a chambered cherry player II and an ultra. They play in different leagues. Why? 1) wood selection and cut (quarter sawn) 2) better body shape (neck heel) 3) Better neck in woods, cut and finish (trust me) 4) better electronics 5) more expensive finishes in color and in general.

pls do a comparison of ultra 1 vs ultra 2, thanks!!! great vid
New Pickups,
New Colors
Ebony instead of Rosewood
Anodized Pick Guard
Minor updates to the electronics.
Thats it.
Would love to know how different the pick ups are.

Just give them 20 more years, then they might catch up with boutique brands like harley benton who offer those features😂

Stainless steel Fret: Harshtone & Feeling. Rosted maple: Loss High mid
Fender needs to keep nickle fret & regular maple neck to maintain Fender tonal character
