    Love listening to Cooper play! Vids are great. Keep 'em up. Gotta stop in the shop next time I'm in SA.

    I got The Ultra II Tele in Sinister Red and liked it a lot, had to raise the treble side of my neck pickup a bit! It also has a position that cuts treble when it locks in place! Anyway so I decided to get the Ultra II Strat Single Coil Version also in Sinister Red which I think is a bad ass color also I wanted the Maple Fingerboard on both of them! Also thanks you for playing so well Cooper and Clean so we could hear what the Guitar actually sounds like without going through effects pedals!

    If you’re going to plunge into this series you just have to go with one of the colors with the ebony boards imo 🤙 I love them personally. Love your reviews guys, thanks.

    Picked up my SSS Ultra II Strat in Solar Flare last week. I love it to bits! Such a playable guitar and the colour just works for me.

      I preordered solar flare HSS and I am about to change to a Ultraburst. Honestly, they all look pretty, and I don't understand all the hates it get. I think youtube doesn't really capture the beauty of their shiny pickguards and body. Even the silver colored pickguard looks plane and boring white in the videos.

    • @Roundtablist
      @Roundtablist 2 месяца назад

      @ Agreed. It wasn’t until I saw the photo taken at the store I ultimately bought it at that I decided I really liked the Solar Flare then drove 2 hours to pick it up. All the other photos looked like the 2003 BMW M3 in Phoenix Yellow that (to my eyes) looked bad in both photos and in real life. The store photo that changed my mind really bought out the green which I loved. Either way, no matter the colour, it plays like a dream. Very much hope you like yours, too!

      @@Roundtablist When the Solar Flare shines under the light, it doesn't look like yellow or gold. It literally looks like the Sun LOL. I agree that all the other colors such as red and blue looks boring red and boring blue but they look 100 times better in person. The only reason I am on the fence about getting solar flare is the maple neck. I am a ebony or rosewood guy who has hard time seeing a white string over the yellow fratboard, so I need a higher contrast :)

      Oooh this is the one I'm eyeing currently, idk what it is about it but those black pickups and tone knobs combined with the colour just looks so good. I was thinking of sinister red first but something about that solar flare is catching my eye more

    You guys do a great job reviewing guitars. I try to watch every video. I also admire your willingness to review guitars that Alamo Music Center doesn't sell (e.g., Orangewood guitars). Have you ever reviewed Zager guitars? I would be extremely interested in getting your opinion of these guitars, particularly their flagship, the ZAD900ce.

    Meteoras look cool. I’d be curious what they’d look like with a two volume, two tone knob setup. That Gibson control scheme works really well.

    Thanks. Very good presentation.. I think I have enough Teles and Strats, so perhaps go to Meteora. Could be also good workhorse in the band setup.. and splittable Haymaker HBs would do everything with those tonal options. Thx.

      Depends on the color. I could see the silver working well with the red and blue. - Chris

    I hate the color options in Ultra II and thinking of the sunburst SSS Ultra 1. Is there anything I will be losing out on like playability, neck shape, action or tone?. Please suggest. Thanks!

  • @lonestarpatriot876
    @lonestarpatriot876 17 дней назад

    Personally, I am a bigger fan of the Ultra due to it coming with rosewood or maple on the fingerboards and due to it not having the anodized pick-guards. I believe those are the only 2 differences between them other than color.

    The issue for me is the Meteora's volume knob choice is a bad one - it's knurled texture is sharp and easy to smack while strumming.
