i bought the R8 GT3 last week purely just because no one else has been using it. There's something about being... unique. screw BoP / meta / whatever I know firsthand this kind of editing takes tons of effort - getting multiple recording POVs during replays, matching clip sounds, etc. - and it's very nice
Coming home from a nightshift and finishing the day off with the latest DaveCam upload is absolutely ideal. Fast becoming one of my favourite channels at the moment! Also loving the new format, keep up the good work Dave !
Thanks for putting in the extra effort, Dave. That must take up some time. I do like knowing what's going on elsewhere in the race, especially if your run is currently tame. For example, "little bit of fighting behind, we'll have to see if he now catches up" or "here's P1 and P2 going at it, hopefully enough for us to improve our P3". But I do realize that is a non-trivial amount of extra work for you! 😊
just when I thought about writing the comment "I like this track, it looks somewhat harmonic to me... but hardly a possibility to overtake", you overtook the mercedes in the chicane.
Hi Dave I like the new camera work. I can only imagine how labor intensive it is. It does give a great race perspective. Nice driving. I drove the McLaren GT 4 a lot. I like it. Thanks for sharing.
I love the new style as well! I actually wish I had the time to do that with my own races tbh. I like how it replaces the replay mid race that you were doing recently, and keeps the race fluid
Always enjoyed the external shots, but in-car adds even more! The iRacing scenery can seem a little dated, but it does have some of the best car models and external shots allow us to see what you're driving so much better. Great stuff!
Loving it Dave! Not sure how much extra work it causes you but it's greatly appreciated. Being able to see the different views from those around you is a great addition.
Agree, new camera angle inserts are very good. Tells the story much better in the flow versus going back to them at the end -which was also good btw. Analysing key moments was something I Will used to do quite a bit, not seen it so much recently. And when I drive I will do similar at the end of the race. On other videos you also have the map top right, I like that as well, even though I know the circuits.
Simple but genius solution that change of camera, a little bit of sound from the external footage (lower than the main source) it will be even better, but that’s just my opinion. Great video and great driving too.
Great video Dave, the added camera angles is a cool addition - it gives us a bit more immersion into what’s happening around you. The intro for your latest Nords video was great fun too. The video quality is getting better and better. 👌👌
Really like the new editing format. Makes things more interesting and feels like a real TV show....sometimes POV doesn't really show how close e.g. an overtake is, so could be interesting to switch to TV Cam for it, but that's only my thoughts. Thx for the extra work Dave.
This week IMSA is freaking scary as a GT3. But the GT4s are quite fun. The new style is nice tho. Gets it a bit more entertaining, even tho the racing is usuall entertaining enough for me to watch them
I like the other racer's POV shots mid-race, but I think they can be more effective. The first two didn't feel like they added much, but the POV of the guy behind you putting on pressure was nice. Maybe the cockpit view of the guy ahead of you when he's defending against you? Just POV angles in general when the cars are interacting - pressuring, defending, etc.
Haven’t been racing GT4 for the last few weeks but similarly don’t tend to see McLarens around when I do! Which, I can’t speak to its pace really as it seems on par, but it’s definitely a pretty damn fun car to drive and I’m not sure why it seems to be sidestepped.
I haven't driven the McLaren for about a year, have they re-balanced the cars since then ? Back then the McLaren felt great but it would burn the fronts, and the brakes weren't as good as the other cars.
The camera views from other cars I can take or leave it, maybe it’s the jump cut that makes them jarring. The full screen of you is something you should adopt permanently. And my favourite videos from you are the videos educating others there’s more to life than GT3s
Everyone can proof me wrong but.... People tend to use those cars who are mentioned to be the fastest on the service. In this race the Merc seems to be the majority. I don´t see any difference when you race the Macca around this track. I avoid the official forums exactly for this reason because people do write that Car A is the fastest and Car B is the slowest. I remember the recent race you´ve done with the Ford GT3 Dave. You wasn´t slow. In fact you was as strong as nessesary in that session, showing a very very old car in the service to be still competitive. It is the driver, the equipment and skill that makes you fast in every car, even rated as slowest or fastest. And your new style of videos are just superb to say. WOW! Love it! :)
Quality editing. Why is the lead car pulling out .4 of a second per lap on the next ten cars when the next ten cars are all within .2 of a second (average) of each other?
Right. SO you'll notice I said "this week" and this race is at Road Atlanta...not Indy. Not really sure what point you're trying to make here.@@atticushexcel9567
I like the new format but not much more than the previous one. This seems like a significantly higher amount of labor so I'm not sure if it's worth the extra time spent on it.
Thank you all for the feedback on the new cam additions. This was just a tester with no real thought put into transitions etc. Appreciate it gang 🙏
Dave your editing has gotten so good recently. The extra camera angles really make it more of a story. Absolutely love it
💯 agree
I just click stuff. No idea what I'm doing half the time 🤣
@@davecamyt well, its working 😊
@@davecamytincredible 😂
I like the new style Dave, way more immersive.

Amazing editing dave! the alternate camera angle from other racers POV was a nice treat
Taking the editing up many notches here! Its great! Especially enjoying watching other cars battles, its a nice addition
I hit the like button instantly, cause of the quality content Dave puts out.😊
Dave always "puts out" when it comes to racing.
The new camera angles really add to feel of the race, thanks for the hard work..
Coming home from a nightshift and finishing the day off with the latest DaveCam upload is absolutely ideal. Fast becoming one of my favourite channels at the moment! Also loving the new format, keep up the good work Dave !
Thanks mate. Sleep well 😁

Just like everybody else has mentioned... the camera style is superb Dave! Really liking it!
just when I thought about writing the comment "I like this track, it looks somewhat harmonic to me... but hardly a possibility to overtake", you overtook the mercedes in the chicane.
Take it back Dave !!! Road Atlanta is the Greatest Track in the WORLD!!!
Hi Dave
I like the new camera work.
I can only imagine how labor intensive it is. It does give a great race perspective.

I love the different camera angles and the comentary, great job Dave keep it up!!

Really liking the new format, Dave! The extra angles and onboards really add to the overall viewing experience!
Loving the new video editing mate, good stuff!
Nice work on the multi-view. keep up the great content Dave!
Cool, Dave, the editing gives a more cinematic narrative and I know you put a load of effort in already so a big thumbs up from me.
Thank you. There should always be more than one character in a story 😁
Great racing Dave.
I quite like the new format but I know how much extra editing time it would have taken you.
Keep up the good work.
👍

Absolutely top notch Dave. Above and beyond editing. But if the edits are too much of a strain, I'm still watching the same as I always have 👍
"Dave" and "McLaren" go well together, but then I'm biased
Really like the new editing format. Makes things more interesting and feels like a real TV show....sometimes POV doesn't really show how close e.g. an overtake is, so could be interesting to switch to TV Cam for it, but that's only my thoughts. Thx for the extra work Dave.
New style is great, love the different camera angles.
One of the best sim racing edits on RUclips.
I like the new angles, good stuff!
Oeh yes some gt4, and i love the new edition cams ,Your editing is getting really really good. Love it
I like the new format, the other pov's make it more interesting. 😁👌
so i love how p1 just up and disappears… damn. and a great run from dave too
Loving the new video format, great job 👏 👍 😀
Don’t know why the McLaren isn’t that popular, it’s a great car.
Anyway I really like the new editing style. Keep em coming Dave
Definitely love the new alternate angles!
Liking the different views during the race edited in 👍
McLaren's always seem more stable in GT3 and 4, great race as always..
Nice one Dave!!!
This week IMSA is freaking scary as a GT3. But the GT4s are quite fun. The new style is nice tho. Gets it a bit more entertaining, even tho the racing is usuall entertaining enough for me to watch them
Macca GT4 still my favorite car and with the GT4 BOP it's competitive
"You've got half your fuel left" on the last lap.... I suspect you could have planned that better?????
Fixed series so unfortunately you can't adjust fuel levels
Nice camera on the main monitor for right above the wheelbase. Mind sharing camera setting values/fov for your 27 inch?
I like the other racer's POV shots mid-race, but I think they can be more effective. The first two didn't feel like they added much, but the POV of the guy behind you putting on pressure was nice.

This was just a tester. Will put more thought into it moving forwards 👍

Sheesh, everyone is playing Daniel Morad on this track.
Probably because people are too tight to buy more than 1 or 2 cars I guess 🤷🏻♂️
I was in this race in the Porsche
Hi Dave, nice job with the editing. When will we get the psycho shower scene?
Be careful what you wish for 😁
U have to try RF2 new compétition system ❤ work pretty well except practice servers full
I haven't driven the McLaren for about a year, have they re-balanced the cars since then ? Back then the McLaren felt great but it would burn the fronts, and the brakes weren't as good as the other cars.
Hey its me!
Is it just me or does this track feel so much like Virginia (VIR)? So many similarities.
The camera views from other cars I can take or leave it, maybe it’s the jump cut that makes them jarring.
The full screen of you is something you should adopt permanently.
And my favourite videos from you are the videos educating others there’s more to life than GT3s
Yeah this was just a rough and ready tester 👍

People just seem to follow VRS best lap car instead of picking what suits them, I found the mclaren rapid and the aston also
What is your favourite track for racing Dave?
McLaren is fun to drive. The only way to crash it is to use the hand brake😅
I’ve found the Merc to be the worst of all the cars on the straights, this week. Makes for especially tough overtaking.
Right. SO you'll notice I said "this week" and this race is at Road Atlanta...not Indy. Not really sure what point you're trying to make here.@@atticushexcel9567
Is the Aston Slower?
I just started doing some GT4 stuff, and I too was the only McLaren in my first race. What's the deal?
any suggestions for a gt4 car for a beginner? not sure what to go with.
McLaren is great 👍
I like the new format but not much more than the previous one. This seems like a significantly higher amount of labor so I'm not sure if it's worth the extra time spent on it.
alright everybody which is better? road atlanta or road america?! Love this track but damn i can’t choose lol
How much roughly would your rim cost?
The rim I'm using right now is around 2.5k
😜👍🇦🇺
I can only manage a 1.28 max in my McLaren 😂
Not a big fan of the new format Dave, but the content is great as usual :)
"Whatever happens we're gonna be top Mclaren." Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Dave, but you're also going to be bottom Mclaren. 😢
Let me have my moment 😁
Don’t like the new format, sorry. Great race nevertheless
Only you like MClaren haha
