I am a startup and I can tell you that one man can run so far, two men can try relay, but for a proper product and company, there needs investments. The start up and other things are more marketing than actual funding. The lack of investments are holding many start ups. Most investors are risk averse and they just try to give reasoning instead of investing. Also most investors want something which is completely revolutionary, not present anywhere in the world, developed product, tried and tested and sold to customers and have some revenues and then this investors will come and invest say 5 cr and then get 50Cr next year and then 500Cr next and 5000 Cr next and then exit with selling to some other VC or IPO. Unfortunately there are no investors who are happy with say 20 to 25% returns. I am pretty sure that if investors help setup 5000 companies in India and run for 5 to 10 years, atleast 10% of them will turn out to be the one of the topmost companies in the world.
Well as hard of a fact it is, Mr. Altman is correct. These startups are just building their products on top of ChatGPT's infrastructure. Hope I'm wrong but it just is what is.

Mainly, the target customers are in tier 1 cities and their number is limited, as already covered by this channel. First, we need to rebalance the wealth among the low earning segments and provide social security. To compare with USA and considering purchase power parity, most people have extra money to explore some new services/products which can lead such startups to next level. It is not impossible for India to make something like the latest advances Nvidia AI supercomputer computer. However, it would require a significant investment in research and development, as well as access to the latest technology. India does have the talent and resources to do this, but it would take time and effort. In the meantime, India may need to buy these supercomputers from Taiwan. Taiwan is a major manufacturer of semiconductors, which are essential components of supercomputers. India has been trying to reduce its reliance on imports from Taiwan, but it is not yet self-sufficient in this area. Here are some of the challenges India faces in developing its own AI supercomputers: * Lack of funding: Developing an AI supercomputer is a costly endeavor. India would need to invest billions of dollars in research and development. * Lack of talent: India does not have a large pool of experts in AI and high-performance computing. It would need to train and recruit more scientists and engineers. * Lack of access to technology: India does not have access to all of the latest technology needed to develop AI supercomputers. It would need to form partnerships with foreign companies or develop its own technology. Despite these challenges, India is committed to developing its own AI supercomputers. The government has set up a National Supercomputing Mission to achieve this goal. The mission aims to build a network of supercomputers across India and to train scientists and engineers in AI and high-performance computing. It is likely that India will need to buy AI supercomputers from Taiwan in the near future. However, the country is making progress in developing its own capabilities. With time and investment, India will be able to build its own world-class AI supercomputers.
Ya, bro but take time. 😥😥😥😥 If time should take then India should make more powerful than LLM models. Because we already know much about preexisting LLM models on top of that based on Research and Development why not make them more intense and powerful than existing ones.
No surprise. They all in usa ,they steal everything how they still ssn number ,all us corporations hire people from there ,big corporations have branches in India.
Sam is not wrong. Training these models require huge compute, which is expensive. I am from India myself currently working in SV as an AI founder... the infrastructure for training is so crazy here.. most Indian companies are using already trained models as API's. I deeply believe in Indian innovation, the current path is unsustainable with the funding volumes of the west. We should do it differently.
there is no need to build something that already exist there are a tons of more problems in the world that needs to be solved other than posting good picture to make your friends jeolous. kinda like the whole point of social media. We'll focus on build sustainable solution for other big challenges the world is facing.
True but we here are talking about AI not SMP, no comparison at all indians also prefer foreign apps over indian ones, would you rather use an indian social media app where only indians exist or foreign app where everyone is? Unless we create an app which goes global which 99% indian startups don't, we are mostly focused on india
Same as building on Android, iOS, AWS, Unreal, etc. The world runs on made-in-USA platforms. Every SaaS, app, .com, or AI platform globally for the most part builds partially or entirely on top of American platforms. We can still create immense value doing this though. -Caleb

Hey there! AI is definitely making waves on Facebook these days. As a curious user, I've been fascinated by how it's changing the way we interact and consume content on social media. Have you noticed how AI is personalizing our feeds and suggesting content? It's pretty amazing how it can learn our preferences over time
I think you have taken sams statement our of context which he later clarified so the question was that if 3 people can build a tool like chat gpt and sam said no 3 people cant build it which is true by the time you build a prod ready application there will already be competitor's and even if you did who will do the QA or fix bugs , scope out features, etc. There is a lot going on behind the scenes when developing a software product and 3 people cant ensure the quality of it
There's a difference between being Innovative(starting, mastering a thing) and Jumping on Bandwagon and I'm sure these Indian AI companies didn't build anything from ground-up! We should be honest with ourselves before proving him wrong!
middle class people like me want to donate some amount to indian startups which will compete with other countries and boom our economy. it would be great if someone build the platform for this. however, it has to be monitored very well to avoid scams.

Here are some of the challenges India faces in developing its own AI supercomputers:
* Lack of funding: Developing an AI supercomputer is a costly endeavor.
If time should take then India should make more powerful than LLM models.
Because we already know much about preexisting LLM models on top of that based on Research and Development why not make them more intense and powerful than existing ones.
what he said there was no point in reinventing the wheel, build something over it
No surprise. They all in usa ,they steal everything how they still ssn number ,all us corporations hire people from there ,big corporations have branches in India.
is this AI generated
India is good at copy pasting everything
Very interesting video. Good job.
was suggested this channel. Great work. Thanks for sharing this
Sam is not wrong.
Funding in India = pumping the pockets of Gujratis.
Well produced video

I love India. 🇮🇳🖤🇮🇳🖤
Sam Altman was right.. because we failed considerably in making a successful social media platform which can compete with meta
there is no need to build something that already exist there are a tons of more problems in the world that needs to be solved other than posting good picture to make your friends jeolous. kinda like the whole point of social media. We'll focus on build sustainable solution for other big challenges the world is facing.
True but we here are talking about AI not SMP, no comparison at all
indians also prefer foreign apps over indian ones, would you rather use an indian social media app where only indians exist or foreign app where everyone is?
Unless we create an app which goes global which 99% indian startups don't, we are mostly focused on india
Your efforts 👌
Very informative video just loved it
"Good meetings" is built on OpenAi's Wisper API and GPT3
Same as building on Android, iOS, AWS, Unreal, etc. The world runs on made-in-USA platforms. Every SaaS, app, .com, or AI platform globally for the most part builds partially or entirely on top of American platforms.
We can still create immense value doing this though. -Caleb
@@backstagewithmillionaires My comment is in context to the cover image of the video.
For every Rs, GoodMeetings earn, OpenAi get's a big portion of it.
And "he" is still not wrong.
Rest there is difference between "Selling someone else's MangoJuice in your own Bottle" vrs "Manufacturing MangoJuice in a factory made by someone else"
For GoodMeeting, OpenAi's Wisper is not a platform, it's essentially the product that is extracting text form videos.
This channel should explode...Fab creations
love the thumbnail
Thank for creating video on Indian software engineer
Great video!
None of the companies mentioned here are building Foundational models so Sam Altman's statement still holds true.
Truest wonderful video specially like the rimming words
Thanks a lot for bringing this to us. I wish the companies all the best!!!!
Wow, Good meetings sound like an awesome tool for enhancing customer meetings! 🤩 As someone interested in AI and productivity, I'm always excited to see innovations. It reminds me of how SmythOS uses AI agents to streamline complex workflows.
Loved the last company, very motivational. Concise information, thank you!

Bro then chatgpt owner clarified that the question was wrong and he told that India can't make in 10million budget not that India can't make it. He was only talking related to budget. And we misunderstood him so he clarified it.
Thank You for praising India and showing its true potential
Extraordinary video. Thanks
Wow... after a long time on your channel, I like your new look.
I have been watching Indian IT industries for the past 35 years. What Sam said absolutely correct and it's more than year now. Did Tech Mahindra proved the challenge ? Anyhow, I welcome Tech Mahindra. Better late than never.
What a intro.. Script.. Love it
Hey there! AI is definitely making waves on Facebook these days. As a curious user, I've been fascinated by how it's changing the way we interact and consume content on social media. Have you noticed how AI is personalizing our feeds and suggesting content? It's pretty amazing how it can learn our preferences over time
Superb piece of information and proud of such developments in India.
Good content
I think you have taken sams statement our of context which he later clarified so the question was that if 3 people can build a tool like chat gpt and sam said no 3 people cant build it which is true by the time you build a prod ready application there will already be competitor's and even if you did who will do the QA or fix bugs , scope out features, etc. There is a lot going on behind the scenes when developing a software product and 3 people cant ensure the quality of it
There's a difference between being Innovative(starting, mastering a thing) and Jumping on Bandwagon and I'm sure these Indian AI companies didn't build anything from ground-up!
We should be honest with ourselves before proving him wrong!
it's amazing!!
nice information video 👍
Wonderful.
Your beard is on point!
Wow, this was a fantastic video, I had no idea of these businesses and the rise of AI in Indian. Subscribing to stay up to date on this information.
Nice topic.
Salary of an engineer at OpenAI:300000 USD
Salary of an engineer at Tech Mahindra:4 LPA
Challenge accepted, where is MahindraGPT ???
tq....🤩
very informative
middle class people like me want to donate some amount to indian startups which will compete with other countries and boom our economy. it would be great if someone build the platform for this. however, it has to be monitored very well to avoid scams.
In our school we are having a book called AI from which you can get some skills like Emplyblity, Management, AI and Nueral Network. It depends on school in India
