a few things to watch for, before getting onto bikes. 1. Rapido offers Insurance for both riders and Passengers (subject to terms and conditions) , but not compensation as in the case of yellow board vehicles. 2. To make insurance claims in case of injuries / accidents , a few parameters must be met - the bike number should match with the one registered on the app. The driver should be the same person registered on the app. Also, in the case of adults (aged 15 and above), the booking name and the rider name should be the same. In many cases, we see a friend making the booking for another. In which case, "booking for someone else" option should be used and the rider name should be fed on the app.

Being a person with disability have taken a lot of Rapido rights from captains and it has been a good experience and there are so many instances where rapid riders behaved very weird, and in specifically in Coimbatore, we cannot trust them as a rash driving and asking for extra money also using drugs or similar stuffs
When Rapido was introduced for the first time, I wasn't very happy with the company as the captains often cancelled the rides. Now this was in Coimbatore and I was also very much hesitant to use the application again due to safety concerns. Once I was riding with a captain who must be 60 years old and he couldn't help but crash into a pothole since it was a night. I reported to Rapido and I believe that they took action. However, I have become incredible for the application now as it is the Go-to app for my daily commute. Although I am still afraid of getting into an accident (Rapido captains are usually rash drivers) it is cheap and affordable and hey it has insurance (I hope I can claim it tho)
I'm regular users of bike taxi and what in my experience captains are more happy with uber as compared to Rapido as rapido charge 15-20% commission where uber charge just 5%
I think one of the main that Rapido cracked the market was ola and uber charges a lot of money and also sometimes the money the ask they ask for isn't worth of they do( i have been ola/uber every now and then) and difference between rapido and ola/uber less money, less inconvenience to the customers that helped them to create and loyal customer base and as well as loyal driver base.
I'm not sure what can go wrong with Rapido, but i noticed the trend of frequent hikes in the cost of each ride in rapido here in Chennai Even Uber bikes are much more competitive compared to Rapido So i think competition with Uber/Ola bikes & steady rise in cost per ride for the user will be a challenge
One more thing Rapidos auto services are better, reliable, cheaper than uber or ola. More importantly has lesser cancellations but pain is finding autowalas since it sometimes doesn’t find autos for a long time within the budget. Rapido needs to balance money and time. Also, safety is crucial.
Rapido has big problems in Bengaluru, 1.)The rapido bike riders don't have a good ISI marked helmet which are safe for the passengers 2.)Usually the rapido scooty drivers keep the helmet on the scooty's floor making it dirty for the passenger 3.)The riders don't get a mobile holder from rapido making it dangerous for passengers and their lives while peeping the google maps from their pockets 4.) Rapido greedily charges 30% from the riders and many times riders cancel the ride and ask passengers to pay offline 5.)The bike riders who work honestly with rapido do not earn much and have less left for petrol and maintenance charges. 6.)Personally I have only seen rapido bike drivers either in very bad/shabby condition and have good experience or a newbie putting his and passenger's life on the risk.
According to me it's healthy for the captains of the rapido to just pay the fixed amount but it might not sound for the company in the long run. If the company is willing to grow in this industry they have to create a balance . On the other side as the company is diversifying itself in quick commerce like zepto and partnering with zomato & swiggy will surely boost the company's revenue in near future.
In order to run a company you need employees. The main employees are Riders or Captains. They are not happy with Rapido. Charging 30% commission and 5- 18% GST, platform fee on every ride will know the pain of riders if you were been into such situations
Overall volume of the video should be increased or the presenter should speak little louder.... To hear it clear we increase the volume above 80-90% then some ads or call comes and it's to loud to hear them hence spoiling the overall interest of watching ur videos... Do consider the feedback
Biggest reason not mentioned in video for bike taxi progress in india Availability of Cheap educated youth who don't have employment mostly engineering graduate and they prefer riding bike for survival while normal auto driver earns bigger than them But it doesn't suit an engineering graduate to ride auto So they prefer bike taxi at lower profit but saving honour in society n relatives
If rapido can negotiate with Automobile companies on vehicles , Services , Insurance, Buyback of old vehicles, Retrofitment etc Rapido will will change the face of Mobility Business
I live in bangalore & moslty travel 2-3 days a week for office. Below are the reason I book auto/cab in rapido instead of uber & ola. 1. Cost & quick booking Rapido have low price compare to uber & ola. Uber price some time near to rapido but ola is worst company in cab booking. Ola have very negative review, safety concern & very very high price (looks like some eng run random price generator to show the current price ). I even think that CEO of ola should shut it down & let the ola & rapido take care of cab booking service. Its look like Ola didn't even try to compete with others. When I book the cab in morning 9-10 mostly, I see uber & ola driver (cab/auto/2 wheeler) never accept the ride request(very long waiting time), while in case of rapido, it is like out of 10 rides, 8-9 time my ride is book. (peak time) Uber - out of 10 rides, 6-7 time my ride is book. (peak time) ola - out of 10 rides, 4-5 time my ride is book. (peak time) Keep doing great rapido.
Rapido has its own mountain of issues. Actually ir is extremely difficult to run anything honestly in India. My experience with rapido cabs has not been good. Their drivers cancel the most out of all the apps, and harass customers by saying they are coming to pick up but they don't move. Also, they always show the car model as swift dzire but something else shows up like an alto.
Considering how many women were assaulted by Rapido drivers, I’d never ever ride one. It’s so tragic just how many services that facilitate life are forbidden to women just because of their gender.
Rapido and other bike riding app drivers have a very hard hit on their bike performance. Most of the times their bikes are in service or some repair work. Just think about what happens if you ride your vehicle continuous in traffic conditions.
As far as bengaluru is concerned, I use cabs regularly to and from south benngaluru. Rapido drivers in general have poor condition cars and are rude. The customer care is poor. I understand cost cutting but it feels relatively less safe compared to ola and uber
There won't be problem unless they try to increase the profit by decreasing their captain's profit or while the captain's profit becomes standstill and his expenses increase due to inflation
Rapidos one guy was harassing me because his petrol was finished in the middle of the road and petrol pump was to far from my home. So , he asked 300 rs instead of 100rs bill . When i denied he was calling his local friends to beat me. and was abusing very badly. I was not able record video but i did the voice recording of the guy.
Also the rider wants to save commission for the hard work since the commission percentage was 25-30. How ever the right decision is in rider hand to accept as they have to think how much gonna Rapido is paying me for the kms i drive. Moreover if you purchase a product I need to pay GST. But why the rider should pay GST on ever ride. Basically the fare deducted 30% commission, 5% GST and platform fee. Finally how much do you think the rider will paid by Rapido. That's why riders are asking to pay in cash. Its not about to avoid tax and commission because they are not getting paid enough for the actual work done by them for customers. Before coming to conclusions know some real fats.
Rapido customer ka dyan rakhti he lekin unke drivers ko bahut hi kam pesa deti he like 9 -10 ganete kam karne ke bad hi petrol ka cost nikal ke 500 rupiye hi hath me aayega or usme bhi har month bike ka jo sevice maintanence aata he vo alag sab se best porter he rapido apne driver par bahut commission laga ke chutiya katata he😢
I dont know what would happen to the life of these bikes given the number of kilometers these rapido captains clock everyday..i mean the frequent maintenance..also,the amount of traffic on the roads in large cities makes life tougher for the captains and on top of that the way the smart phone gets used nonstop, chances are their entry level phones would have to be replaced every year..if you deduct all these costs and may be traffic chalans etc,i dont know how much money they get to keep at the end of the year.. I am an early adopter of ride hailing amd most of the times the drivers complain about wear and tear of the vehicle..so they ask us to cancel the ride on the app and take us to the destination so that they can avoid paying the commission and keep those extra bucks.. There have also been occasions when the captain of the auto cancels the ride and doesn't even inform us..this happens more with their autos not so much with their bikes..and this happened when I had to catch a train.. Your video looks more like a promo for rapido but it's not all that rosy..the fact that there's hardly any competitor makes rapidos captains stick to rapido But i agree that they have ensured that captains retain a little bit more of their earnings which is good Rapido calling itself a software provider is basically to circumvent the law and if the state takes any action,it will be on the captains and not the company directly
Working for almost a month, Ola app is horrible to use and yes, it is definitely cheaper. So, the customer benefits, the company gains customer support, But nothing for the captain. Tho their bike ride rates are similar to Rapido but parcel service is horribly unfair. I regreted badly accepting those orders. Overall Rapido has been much better for me
@@Sanjaysahu1syep. Rapido charges a good percentage, Ola currently charges zero. But as a driver I prefer to use Rapido any day of the week, Tho rates are exactly same

I added 300 rs In my rapido wallet and now I can't use it to book any ride
And their is no option to transfer it from the wallet
Uber is far better
I'm regular users of bike taxi and what in my experience captains are more happy with uber as compared to Rapido as rapido charge 15-20% commission where uber charge just 5%
Very informative and well researched video
I think one of the main that Rapido cracked the market was ola and uber charges a lot of money and also sometimes the money the ask they ask for isn't worth of they do( i have been ola/uber every now and then) and difference between rapido and ola/uber less money, less inconvenience to the customers that helped them to create and loyal customer base and as well as loyal driver base.
Rapido rentals should also be properly implemented
It is also a great move
Very informative and good case study.
Red flag with rapido is drivers get customer's personal mobile numbers unlike uber where call goes through Uber number
How about the white number plates for bike taxi? Isnt it supposed to be yellow? How did Rapido faced this challenge?
I'm not sure what can go wrong with Rapido, but i noticed the trend of frequent hikes in the cost of each ride in rapido here in Chennai
Even Uber bikes are much more competitive compared to Rapido
So i think competition with Uber/Ola bikes & steady rise in cost per ride for the user will be a challenge
One more thing Rapidos auto services are better, reliable, cheaper than uber or ola. More importantly has lesser cancellations but pain is finding autowalas since it sometimes doesn’t find autos for a long time within the budget. Rapido needs to balance money and time. Also, safety is crucial.
good video. nice presentation.
Absolutely agree, Rapido is far better than ola and uber. I always book via Rapido, because ola and uber drivers always cancel the rides
Rapido has big problems in Bengaluru,
1.)The rapido bike riders don't have a good ISI marked helmet which are safe for the passengers
2.)Usually the rapido scooty drivers keep the helmet on the scooty's floor making it dirty for the passenger
3.)The riders don't get a mobile holder from rapido making it dangerous for passengers and their lives while peeping the google maps from their pockets
4.) Rapido greedily charges 30% from the riders and many times riders cancel the ride and ask passengers to pay offline
5.)The bike riders who work honestly with rapido do not earn much and have less left for petrol and maintenance charges.
I ride rapido daily and I did notice that the drivers prefer rapido over Uber
Biggest reason not mentioned in video for bike taxi progress in india
Availability of Cheap educated youth who don't have employment mostly engineering graduate and they prefer riding bike for survival while normal auto driver earns bigger than them
But it doesn't suit an engineering graduate to ride auto
So they prefer bike taxi at lower profit but saving honour in society n relatives
I think rapido is the only company in this space having good customer support.
If rapido can negotiate with Automobile companies on vehicles , Services , Insurance, Buyback of old vehicles, Retrofitment etc Rapido will will change the face of Mobility Business
This will be the case they partnered with Zypp electric and Gogoro
I hate one thing about rapido is that the drivers ask extra money after the ride
Great video !
I live in bangalore & moslty travel 2-3 days a week for office. Below are the reason I book auto/cab in rapido instead of uber & ola.
1. Cost & quick booking
Rapido have low price compare to uber & ola.
(peak time)
Uber - out of 10 rides, 6-7 time my ride is book. (peak time)
ola - out of 10 rides, 4-5 time my ride is book. (peak time)
Keep doing great rapido.
" Take care of your workers and workers will take care of the customers". read this once. Maybe Rapido mgmt read this too.
Some tried their best to stop Rapido too.
I love rapido..but it doesn’t do bike taxi in Mumbai anymore 😢
It's the same thing ola did initially, trapping driver I mean captains.
Considering how many women were assaulted by Rapido drivers, I’d never ever ride one. It’s so tragic just how many services that facilitate life are forbidden to women just because of their gender.
I recently used Rapid Car for airport it charged me 309Rs whereas Ola Uber showed 750Rs
Brilliant
Rapido and other bike riding app drivers have a very hard hit on their bike performance. Most of the times their bikes are in service or some repair work. Just think about what happens if you ride your vehicle continuous in traffic conditions.
Hey buddy sharing piece of advice work more on your editing team.. if youre making a video lenght 20 min it should not get bored good luck
Yee great
As far as bengaluru is concerned, I use cabs regularly to and from south benngaluru. Rapido drivers in general have poor condition cars and are rude. The customer care is poor. I understand cost cutting but it feels relatively less safe compared to ola and uber
Rapido is awesome
Try to be captain first and come to conclusions. You will also know the other dark side of Rapido.
@saicharanpullela3534 make a video about it, captain
for bike taxis rapido is best.
using a car or auto taxis from rapido is a headache
There won't be problem unless they try to increase the profit by decreasing their captain's profit or while the captain's profit becomes standstill and his expenses increase due to inflation
Rapido charges 25percent to 40%from driver
These rapido and uber are charging comission to much from the rider.
Where it happened?
Raise a complaint na!
Rapido is best and economical
See in other apps and come to conclusions
I don't think they do instant payment. I booked one from Kolkata Airport and he wanted me to pay in cash only when I wanted to pay online.
Underdeveloped cities has these issue l. People prefer cash to save on tax and sometimes people don't have habbit of saving.
Rapido customer ka dyan rakhti he lekin unke drivers ko bahut hi kam pesa deti he like 9 -10 ganete kam karne ke bad hi petrol ka cost nikal ke 500 rupiye hi hath me aayega or usme bhi har month bike ka jo sevice maintanence aata he vo alag sab se best porter he rapido apne driver par bahut commission laga ke chutiya katata he😢
In Maharashtra bike ola /rapido got banned still people using SRide thats juggad done by Indians .🎊💰💯😍
rapido's prices are always higher than uber whole day
soon rapido also will go down....their prices are too high compare to uber and ola i feel
True. Even the rider are not accepting the rides due to high commission. The other side of the story is real that's riders story.
The zero commision is not 😢
Kuch phone based business v ajaye to Ghar baithe ek chota income phone se kamaye
Your video looks more like a promo for rapido but it's not all that rosy..the fact that there's hardly any competitor makes rapidos captains stick to rapido
But i agree that they have ensured that captains retain a little bit more of their earnings which is good
Rapido calling itself a software provider is basically to circumvent the law and if the state takes any action,it will be on the captains and not the company directly
Whenever I book rapido each and every rider said one thing that try using Ola because rapido charges more
Working for almost a month,
Ola app is horrible to use and yes, it is definitely cheaper.
So, the customer benefits, the company gains customer support,
But nothing for the captain.
Tho their bike ride rates are similar to Rapido but parcel service is horribly unfair.
I regreted badly accepting those orders.
Overall Rapido has been much better for me
As on Date Rapido is expensive compared to other Rides
Not anymore. Uber is slowly n steadily making a come back. Rapido has now started charging more than Uber. Ola is a gone case now anyways.
rapido charges me around 85 rs for 4km per day
rapido drivers must not allow any woman to sit one-sided as pillion. It endangers life of everyone.
Seriously, Rapido service is poor to put it generously.
Rapido is expensive i prefer Uber
R u kidding
@@Sanjaysahu1s compare both and you’ll know
@@Sanjaysahu1syep. Rapido charges a good percentage,
Ola currently charges zero.
But as a driver I prefer to use Rapido any day of the week,
Tho rates are exactly same
