Zepto is replacing the second category where people see convenience and quick delivery rather than cost, but the problem is average order size won’t be big and the Kirana store right across the street is waiting for you.

You are wrong. I am from Kerala. Zepto here are available in Kochi Trivandrum which are tier2 cities. But my family nowadays buy all the groceries from either Zepto or swiggy instamart or Jiomart
zepto is shady af, they use many cheap tactics while we order something, like not showing the final price before you place the order, not being able cancel the order, zepto pass in nto cancelable, etc. ill keep using binkit
The short answer is no. Instamart and Blinkit are subsidiaries of Swiggy and Zomato respectively. Zepto has no USP, and 2-3 minute early delivery is not it.

The major problem for zepto is quality of the service, few days back I got expired chicken and expired paneer, dmart solved this problem , I bad experience will make positive to negative in the market
I have used swiggy instamart and blinkit both and never got my order in 10 mins, heck it took a minimum 20 mins everytime. Zepto does not even operate where I live. But I see the value in getting items to you within a 30 minute time frame and I am ready to pay 20-30 Rs for it
I live in Mumbai and at my location Instamart and Blinkit offer way quicker delivery than Zepto, I noticed the same issue at my parents house which is at another location, their delivery time is never under 35 minutes on average.

I don't understand this psychology of always criticizing the one who comes from a stable background. and everybody's parents invests in their child in any way so its not something different.
One problem they may face will be with the delivery fee as seen in the Indian market, people are reluctant to pay the delivery fee as they feel it's not useful to pay 10-50 rs oof delivery for a small cart and so they prefer to get it themselves and that is the problem. It's a price sensitive market but focusing on the tier 1 they may reduce this problem to s subsequent level but not completely. Though it still depends on how they execute the operations further as they are planning for EVs which will get a hold on the market, and if they can get some good to go EVs for a reasonable amount and can deploy the whole fleet slowly may give them ample of profit. But still there are variety of challenges one may face as the infrastructure and the asset cost may create a period of agony for the founders if not looked out for the expenses and the ROI. But if considering the video as you said they are saving a rupee even on their bags and are that sharp and have their eyes open like that may lead them to success. These localised shops need to adapt to this changing landscape either by changing their business model, taking more risks, opening dark stores provided by these e-com businesses e.t.c. If the local sellers do start hyper local deliveries, it will still not eat up these e-commerce giant's market share as the simple answer is convenience and in some cases more trust. Please express your opinion on this.
Also, it will be really hard for local sellers to incorporate local deliveries as there are barely only about 1 - 2 employees per local store. Seeing their responsibility on their store along with delivery responsibilities, the delivery model for them is not appealing to these localized sellers due to this.

As similar as to the zepto and like once the byjus was a boost rocket, there are still so many startup behind the bars but doing much much way better thing in not only e-commerce or e-commerce but also in food delivery and riding apps like ola and uber.
If you still see the mass auditions in India on the bottom of pyramid they are hard to be caught in the long term because average income of per capita gdp income in india is still very average with any compared. I have seen the price of the groceries while checking out their app once and found so high price for the basic grocery, better i can send any freind with 50rs of their fuel and they can get fresh vegetables with extra coriander and ginger in 10 min plus one free samosa in the same cost of the 50rs fuel.
