Yessss!!! The buildup to 1:13 ending in that beautifully disgusting whammy riff. That's some next-generation Steve Vai shit right there, favorite moment on the album.
My gosh I'm gonna buy the shazizzle out of this album. They've really matured, nailed their sound, and added a lot of variation to their sound (the intro to this song, and the strings on culture shock for example), however most of all I'm in love with the clear, concise, and beautiful sectioning; verses used to be just guitar solos, with no structure, and while you'd have a couple of nice melodies, they'd be surrounded by just generic musical parts, but now we have wonderful interesting parts, clean cut sections, effectively used effects, and edits, all boosted by polyphias trademark melodic genius. Come to England plz guys! Shut up, and take my money XD!
....my theme song. If you know me at all. Then you've heard this song playing in the background. Every morning, every evening, every f-ing day. Reminds me of my dad and how much he loved music. Wish i would've discovered you guys before he passed. He would've loved your music as much as me.
This is music that I write book reports and do my homework to because it is so calming and it strikes up my curiosity. It makes it easier to write more intellectual reports, and my teachers appreciate that.
There are these little repeated parts that remind me of their song ivory. I love that sound. Repetition to highlight a melody part. It's awesome seeing their progression as individual musicians
As a musician I can appreciate all kinds of art and love everything! But im into dubstep... a completely different genre of music but I keep finding myself coming back to Polyphia! Their music is just amazing and they keep continuing to blow me away! Everytime I want to get inspired or elevated I come back to Polyphia! Keep up the amazing work!!!!
They must sprinkle a little crack on their tracks. I've never been so addicted to a band in my f-ing life.... Can't wait for something new.... GIVE ME MORE G-DAMN YOU!!!!!
This is another Polyphia, I'm marathoning all the songs by this amazing band, and I just now realized that I'm not fitting in, it's not the music that's bad, I just got attached to the current Polyphia, thanks to the comments that made me open my eyes and understand the masterpieces of this album
I was listening to this while watching shorts and came a cross a short of a scene in Game of thrones where Tyrion Lannister finds his sister and brother dead under the rubble in kings landing post war with danaerys and he like has to unbury them from under the rubble and mourn them at the same time. first thing he saw was his brother's golden hand sticking out of the rocks. This music made tyrion look like actually bad ass. That particular time the music escalated as he uncovers them so it fit really well.
Só revendo as músicas que fizeram esse ano tolerável, estou no ensino médio agora, descobri essa banda em 2020 e vocês são meus favoritos desde então, obrigado por fazerem músicas assim, feliz natal e feliz ano novo.
fuck yes guys! Scott and Tim are absolutely ripping shit on this one i love it! this track was mixed insanely well too! alot of depth in the mix. can't wait to catch this one @ the New Orleans House of Blues on 04/08, but mainly i'm excited about getting the tabs for this album ;)
OK . For real .. Where did you guys learn about REAL music ?? Did your parents say "Listen to this!" or did you have an influential teacher along the way ??? Young adults don't just figure out what is GREAT music and what is RAP and hip-hop ... Meaning ... where did your mature musical knowledge come from .. Who exposed you to how to write such wonderful melodies ??? Who ever or whatever it was or is ... doesn't really matter .. The point is ... YOU LISTENED ..... .. OMG .. I had really lost faith in the fact that the younger generation would not and could not understand or write good music anymore ... You guys have restored my faith in the youth of our world ... PLEASE keep writing and creating these sonic masterpieces ... I LOVE YOUR SHIT !!!!!
This is late, but I play in my school orchestra and because its so small you get a chance to really get to know your teacher. They show you all different kinds of music. Not to mention that music theory and rythmn dictation is required to be taught
Three years later and by divine intervention they heard your request. I mean, they did one song with vocals and still nailed it. So yah.... this band is still kicking.
I feel like the beginning sounds like a Mario type sound. Idk like if in the World of Mario if he went into a bar to sit and drink this would be the background music
This album is a straight masterpiece. These guys should be praised as legend.
Now they are
@@DTM_329And hopefully even more in the future. Feels like every project they put out pulls in a new group of people.
The synths on this one are perfect
The Final Fantasy sounding tones in the background?
@@williamedmiston5164 yes yes yes
Scott: So, how much whammy u want in this one Tim?
Tim: *yes*
if paradise exists I bet it's not that whammy
Yessss!!! The buildup to 1:13 ending in that beautifully disgusting whammy riff. That's some next-generation Steve Vai shit right there, favorite moment on the album.
Funny that you said that 6 years ago and look who just did a collab

0:46 did it for me. That fucking riff, russles my jimmies so gewd! The rest of the song falls together like a perfect game of tetris.
piperpipe201 I know what you mean dude it's just so groovy
I could probably play this song on loop for my whole life and still get entranced by it every time
This is music that I write book reports and do my homework to because it is so calming and it strikes up my curiosity. It makes it easier to write more intellectual reports, and my teachers appreciate that.
I KNOW :O
Great job, Renaissance is definitely some of the best Polyphia material yet.
There are these little repeated parts that remind me of their song ivory. I love that sound. Repetition to highlight a melody part. It's awesome seeing their progression as individual musicians
Polyphia's very own "Altered State" - the absolute pinnacle of the band, or so it seems
What an outstanding album
Richard Handler new levels new devils

@@swine13 I think he just meant it isn't really a style of music he was ever into, not that he likes dubstep and therefore can only like dubstep.
I'm in awe. Speechless. This song alone says out with the old, in with the new.

This will always be thier best album, and no one can change my mind
dat flutter whammy bar
This is your guy’s best song, especially the Jeff Beck type ‘Nadia’ melodic backing with discordant lead shit at the end.
Still vibing to this masterpiece in 2022 🏌🏿
The chorus fills me with so much determination! 😍
What an unbelievable song. I get a Steve Vai vibe. Amazing.
I could set this on repeat all day
