Thanks so much for this video Anastasia, I purchased this foot many years ago but never knew exactly how to use it…and now I do! Yay! Excellent tutorial as always! ❤
I have had this foot for a couple of years. I never knew what I was missing. Thank you so much - you are a great teacher. Will you show how to use the foot for the serger.
what brand /name is this foot? ive been looking for an elastic foot but not sure if this is specifically for elastic or has other purposes that would allow it to be called something else
You will have to see which ones go with your specific machine. It should tell you in your manual but what you really need to know if how your feet attach and if you have a low shank or high shank foot. Lots of the feet are interchangeable on different machines.
I am sure you can order it with your local sewing machine dealer. You can also get it on amazon. www.amazon.com/Elastic-4128153-45-Husqvarna-Viking-Machine/dp/B07C1C3LSN Thank you for watching.
Totally. You never want to pull your fabric through the machine. You always want it to just take it. If you want it to move faster you can adjust some of your machine settings. Hope that helps & happy sewing!
I have a question... What If you want to put in elastic but you dont want it to gather at all. It would need to be a zig zag stitch so that it can stretch later, but also, can this foot even be used or is there a different foot I should get for that?

This is such an awesome sewing foot! I love it too! Thank you for watching 🎀
Appreciate this guide. Does this foot work with the method where you have to match the elastic to the waist band at quarter marks?
I would not use this foot for that method. I would use tis foot for lingerie or swimwear or edges of knit garments.
I have been looking for a foot that will make it easier to make the ruffle for a mob cap which is done with elastic. Theresa
Where do we purchase this elasticator foot. And what is the widest elastic it can sew.
You can get it from any sewing machine dealer and I think it goes up to 5/8 of an inch if i remember correctly.

It is called an elastic guide foot. It was made to just sew elastic. Thank you for watching.
Would this foot be compatible with a Singer HD4423?

Where can I buy this for for the Janome D2000 air threader surger
Try your local dealer.
This would be great for sewn in elastics for cloth diapers. Instead of making a casting:)
Totally!!!
Could you use this for fitted sheets?
Totally!
Could you use this for swimwear or undergarments?

Round tablecloth
Nice 😊
I just realized that I was pulling my fabric which apparently takes the gather capabilities away from the foot...
