The narrow hem and bias binding feet are game changers. I've been playing around with hand sewn couture zipper insertion techniques so havent used my invisible zip foot in a while. Great video!❤
So happy to finally get to feature a post for you, Stephanie!!! Happy to have shared your post (and video) at last week's Share YOur Style #225. :) Happy fall and happy sewing, Barb :)
I am just starting out and I found your tutorial really helpful, so thank you very much. I am in the UK😉 and will be watching more of your videos in the future.
A little suggestion, please use fabric and thread that is easily seen by vision impaired people. I have no idea what you are doing because I cannot see it.
Thanks Stefani, lovely video. A quick question about the gathering foot - can you adjust the gather? How do you know that the gathering will fit to wherever you are attaching it to? Do you just cut extra long strip of fabric and then cut off the extra?
Great question Irina! So, it will gather more with the larger stitch you use, so thats good to keep in mind if you don't want it to gather as much. You can also pull on it a little as you're sewing to separate the gathers more, and then if you leave a long thread tail you have a little room to gather more or less, but not the whole way. Its definitely better for pieces that you can gather first, but it works for set patterns as well, I just recommend playing with it on a few practice strips first to see how much it gathers!
I have several different sewing machines (Brother, Janome, Singer), do i have to buy seapare feet for each of them? that's a lot of money... Also I see generic presser feet on Amazon all the time, are they bad if they're not branded?
There seems to be a trend for zippers to be visible in clothes these days and they look so ugly. I can’t help thinking it’s because people are self taught sewists and/ or just not wanting to take the time to install them properly. ( my pet peeves are poorly installed zippers and plaids and striped seams that don’t line up properly). I love invisible zippers and I love a well installed zipper.
I want to buy this machine for my 9 year old granddaughters,do you think she will be able to master this machine. She hand sees for her dolls and is very very interested in design and is very artistic.Could you send me your opinion about her ability to master this machine and it’s suitability for her. Kindest regards Johanna
She can start getting the feel on scrap material. It sounds to me like she's capable, just show her basics and the stitches and she'll probably take off in 6 months or so.
I only hear a very clear voice and the sewing machine. Are you sure it's not the machine you hear? I found the sound of mine disconcerting when brand new. Foot rising/ dropping (echo maybe) and auto thread cutter etc.
Thank you. First time I have seen the these-the bias, gathering, and piping feet. They are definitely on my shopping list.
Thank you Stephanie. Just getting back in the sewing game. You have opened a whole new world for me. Your videos are awesome.
Thank you this was truly helpful, I’m just getting back into sewing after 40+ years and it’s wonderful to see the evolution of technology.
Same here....after about 35 yrs lol.
40+ years ? If that’s you in your profile pic, those years have done you well! Bless
@@aoasupply2197 Awe thank you, it is and that pic was 9 years ago, I'm in my 50's and have good genetics.... Too sweet of you.
Thank you What a lovely clear example of using these accessories. I find your video to be the best I have viewed. Keep up the good work 💕💐

Very cool. Great to know
Thank you for such a helpful video. I can’t wait to try the different feet on my machine. Fantastic 👍
Thanks now my sewing experience will be more enjoyable
Thank you so much!!! I bought all these footers but I have no idea how they work 🙈🤦♀️😂
You dear, are God sent ❤️
Piping with a regular foot is so hard. I had to do that back in college, before ever knowing about fancy feet
Very nice. It would be nice to see the rolled hemming foot go around a corner for times when I don't want to use my serger.
Thank you for clear instructions.
Great video, thank you 😊

Hi is this fits brother machine?
use plain material so that the contrast in the work can be easily seen by the viewers.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️
they did not have the gathering foot 50 years ago
lol, very true! Even 20. I learned the old fashioned way, two rows of basting stitches and pull :)
Whyyyyyyyy you don’t have subtitles for all languages??????😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

I would start with letting her practice a light touch with the pedal and how to hand wheel through tight spots.
Was zipper zipped? Guess I should look better zipper open.
Yes keep the zipper open when you sew it, so that the zipper foot can grab and sort of 'fold' the tines as it sews. hope that helps!
What's up wth the audio? There's an echo or a buzz or something. Very distracting.

@@nannyval More likely a cheap mic, like on a laptop or phone.
