There was a great series called Deadpool and Cable (might've been cable&deadpool) where Cable has the techno-organic virus that caused Scott to send him to the future in the first place removed, and because the brunt of his powers were being used to keep it at bay he was essentially as strong as Nate and viewed as a "mutant messiah". Highly recommend
