so all those mutants all those powers and tech and no one can fix professor xaviers legs
the dark featus now we are asking the real questions
Aaron brown isnt there a story that Xavier had to choose loosing his ability to walk in order to keep his powers but if he chose to walk he would loose all his powers
EXACTLY
Professor Xavier has telekinesis, so why doesn't he use it on his legs?
My mans, dude has telekinesis and telepathy
Nate Grey is basically omnikinesis and omnipathy. One of the coolest mutants ever.
Full on character discussion about Nate Grey.....please.
Yes please
+Michael Reid agreed
+please
agreed
Definitely
And here I thought Superman was overpowered...
Lol Nate grey would literally fuck up cosmic beings. Supes ain't even on his wave length
+romeo is he more powerful than Jean grey?
+Brandon Nagbe lol his more powerful than gene in her dark Phoenix form lol
+romeo so what happened to him? I stop reading comics after the onslaught sage ended
+romeo never mind, I watched the whole video now
Finally. SOMEbody brought this guy up. Because he is definitely an underrated badass.
Of course we want a full on character discussion on Nate Grey. He's a phenomenally interesting character, thanks for the awesome vids!
This made me think of Peter Petrelli. One of my favourite super human characters
+joe cunningham In Marvel Comics, Peter Petrelli is more akin to Hope Summers.
+ComicsExplained have you did a video about him yet
+ComicsExplained i want a full on descution on this nate boy i am liking this
oh please :D
+ComicsExplained the Hope Summers story is one of my favorites.
From her birth, up to the prelude to Schism, all the way to (spoilers) Cable's funeral.
Awesome writing from Duane Swierczynski and Kyle & Yost.
Do the Messiah saga, please...
One thing he can't do. Save Batman's parents.
friend ur my new friend lol also if he could he probably shouldn't... the world needs a batman
Nah, time travel and traversing universes is within the scope of his powers.
Batmans parents will die anyway they are impossible to save
c2quick4u...what are you on about?
@horaciopoggi Batman must become Batman, even if someone saves them at the time they were getting mugged, they go get into there car bam! drunk driver slams into them. They can’t be saved no matter what.
Loving the Streets of Rage background music.
+Anon Omous It's not Streets Of Rage it's Sonic 3 Ice Cap Zone.
+Guts124 There's also streets of rage.
+Anon Omous Sorry about that dood. Didn't notice the change in music.
+ComicsExplained full character discussion
+ComicsExplained Guts is right, later on in the video the fist stage of streets of rage bgm plays after Sonics
I was never interested in Nate Grey, until he was written better, by Warren Ellis, and he took Nate to levels that expanded my mind as I read them, and I was never the same after that. Those issues were the best, especially when he was dealing with the evil Jean Grey from the other reality that was pretending to be Madeline Pryor. Then when he came here and started to form relationships with his 'parents' and siblings, and became an Xman proper, I liked him even more. He is definitely one of my favorites, even more than Cable, his 'brother.'
I don't appreciate how Marvel's treated him and the mutants in general lately.
VictorShephard Me either, it's pushed me away from Marvel, trying to just replace mutants with Inhumans when they are a totally different animal. They insult even the average readers intelligence trying to do that, no matter how well they are written, and even if I like the Inhumans, they will NEVER be X-men.
starkid77
"Control the molecules of light" No
+MarklenIngyer photons
rubberwoody
Exactly xDDD
haha
well the molecules of light are photons. You wouldn't say the molecules of photons. He didn't say control molecules of light, he said the molecules of light, aka light's molecules, aka photons.
Hellopleesh photons arent molecules though
And people complain about how powerful superman is
Face1117 1111 of course he's to op
The difference is is that most people haven't heard of him but they have superman.
please nate grey is my favorite marvel character. the whole summers/grey family deserves an hour long episode.
He's probably my favourite mutant, I wish he took franklin under his wing, loved the two of them together in onslaught
Hahahahaha molecules of light. If only Marvel writers would get at least their terminology right. Light molecules...classic.
+Steven Yin I guess they ment particles.
HellGod67 Light isn't made up of particles. They are photons which are waves. If light was composed of particles, they must have mass since particles are matter and anything that has mass cannot travel at the speed of light due to infinite energy required.
HellGod67 Well something like that but the fact is X-Man can bend the light around him (which is physically possible) to seem invisible. If light was molecules though that would mean we could synthesise it by combining several elements to create it. That would be pretty cool I guess...?
Steven Yin
He also said that he can control atoms and magnetic pole which photons do actually have.
As much as I remember light can be considered as a wave and a photon particle...
HellGod67 Well photons are EMR.. and atom control is an ability that Magneto also has except he can only manipulate objects with metal atoms in them. Photons are interesting though.
OP is his entire schtick. Frankly in hindsight I liked his early depiction after coming to 616 as having a very One-Punch Man feel to it.
I'm with the full character bio of Nate Grey. Let's go!
Nate is one of my all time favorites other than Cable, Bishop, Storm, Rogue, Cyclops, and Wolverine. I want to see you do a full story on Nate
That was great ,thank you for that much needed info.
YES!!! Please bring on the full character discussion of Nate Grey. PLEASE!!!! Thank you so much for your channel. You do amazing work.
I had followed Nate for a while. I even had the Jack knife comic. I really hated when they depowered him not because I liked over powered mutants but Nate was a teenager and his back story was so interesting. It's just the way they introduced and handled this character that I loved. And a good way to tell when a mutant is too powerful is when they actually depowered him. He was also popular enough for them not to kill him and leave him dead. He made Franklin Richards look fair lol. I'd also like a full on discussion.
I'd like to see a full on character discussion on this! I would like to know and maybe you can explain it in a future episode but I'd like to know who is stronger, Nate Grey or Mathew Malloy.
+jonathan_g Although I heard some mentions of Matthew Malloy (like once in a video where the story I think some of the X-Men went to his house to find the source of such power etc etc and learning a bit about him, although I never heard of him again) and only knowing the existence of X-Man from this video. Went and made a few research on both and I definitely interested in a video comparing who is stronger
+jonathan_g Matthew, but, only because he has access to the power of another dimension (i actually cover this in 2 of my recent videos).
Or Franklin Richard.
@@nicksaveka5078 I'm pretty sure Franklin Richards is flat out said to be the most powerful mutant ever. Not that that really matters, because comics. But there it is
so basically hes steph curry
basically
loooool
W
Lol this has thirty like so I can't like it
Sager ....
Lol.
No one Comes Close to CURRY in the MARVEL UNIVERSE.
Shared this with my Twitch Community. Great Job! Keep up the great work.
yes an in depth discussion would rock
Thank you so much for doing Nate! He's one of my favourite characters! And it'd be great if you did a more in depth character discussion!
that would be amazing rob.. great video lookin forward to a fuller character study cause im hooked to the character
"Molecules of light"
Hoo boy, you did some messing up there buddy
Putrefax what?
Putrefax shut up hater
Mohamed Ahmed there's no such thing as "molecules of light"
megazion34 I think he meant particles.
This brings to mind the battle where Cable's powers had increased to the point where no one on earth could challenge him and they needed to bring in the Silver Surfer to push him to his limits and cause him to burn out his power.
love the streets of rage man!!! you always keep it so cool and nostalgic!
Hey Rob do you think maybe you could do a video on the history/evolution of superhero movies ? And again great work with the video !
So interested in more X-Man! Please make a full on character discussion.
I hope he’s introduced in the next seasons of X-Men 97.
phew I was going mad trying decipher if that was the SOR 2 soundtrack . Thanks for the plug at the end I love that game , and please keep these coming!
After watching a handful of videos I finally subscribed because you included Streets of Rage 2 soundtrack. Keep up the great work makes me want to start picking up comics again.
Would love to see a full on disscussion with Nate Grey.
Full discussion please. I want it.
Thanks Rob ,you did it again! Keep up the good Work
lOVE THE CHANNEL! Great background music! def made my day! :)
I miss Nate Grey. I remember first finding out about him in a Spider-man Xmas comic. I ended up jumping over, from there, to AoA and loving every bit of it. Next thing I knew, I was following him into the 616. Can we have a character discussion on Nate Grey?
yes a full on character discussion please, 😊👍
Streets of rage 2 sound track was amazing, nice use of it mate!
Nate is by far my favorite character. Thanks for this.
yes I would like a whole discussion of his character
More Nate Grey!!! I literally dont know what happened to him when he moved to the alternate worlds,
Awesome vid Rob
I was rocking out to the Ice Cap Zone in the beginning of this. One of my favorite stages and it has the best music!
Streets of Rage 2 music in tha background. nice!!
They should bring back Nate Grey. I think they can make more interesting stories about him.
Definitely want a full conversation of Nate grey!!!
yes please more nate grey. I've always loved this character
I would very much like to see a full explanation of Nate Grey.
Would love to see a full character discussion.
great video!!
Heck yea, do a full vid of this!
I want a long video about Nate Grey plz :)
Streets of rage music! I love that game.
Yes, full discussion on Nate Grey. Even the controversial stuff which made his story even more compelling .
"Molecules of light" lol
So Nate Grey has all the powers then
Santa Claus has more tho
Please do a full on for Nate Grey. One of my Fav's in marvel history. So under played though.
loving all your videos!!
could you do one on the phoenix force/saga? purrty please?
This video was great as always, but that streets of rage 2 OST is so good!
I would like to see more on X-Man
would love a full discussion on him pls
awesome music rob :)
YYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSS Finally Nate Grey. Smiling so hard right now. Love him so much.
He's an interesting character. You need to do a full explanation.
let's get that in depth nate
Love your videos, keep up the hard work. I was wondering could you make a video on Slapstick from marvel Comics please.
Bring on the full discussion, Rob!
so he's a god
+ray britton basically. Also that was say by Beast/Fera in the last moment of the video
***** 6:46 Beast says it all. He is a mutant that has god like powers, although he isn't a God per say, at least not in the sense that you would say that "x" character it's a watcher, or and entity. He is a god in the sense that he is that powerful or even more
well the title god would go to Matthew Malloy
+mrtykiman jiu or the one above all
+Pacitti Club Johnny yeah it just depends on what the writers say
This is still my favorite mutant of all time.
absolutely do a full character discussion!
Full on character discussion ... Do want ... I need this in my life ... Thanks in advance
Is that streets of rage music remixed I hear in the background
Definitely.
I always found Nate Grey aka X-Man to be a very interesting character. Basically m he’s the more perfect version of Cable. The superior mutant that Cable was meant to be.
My favourite hero growing up as a kid.
I still have his whole series.
I definitely love the SoR2 theme in the background.
X-Man marks the spot; full on character study officially requested...~_~
CAST STEPHEN LANG as Cable!
That streets of rage background music. I grew up on that. Classic👌🏿
Yes! Please do a full character discussion on Nate Grey.
welp... I always wanted to be rogue... but this... is sooooo much better.😍😈
what?
West Texas Hillbilly u know rogue can get any power she can lay her hands on but this?.... there is no need... I am god already lol.
+Supa Giirl You're off your rocker
Seth Dooley because if mutant powers existed I wud wanna be god-like? well sure IG I am then. wudnt want no weak power.
Ur a god to me my tigga
did you say molecules of light?? 5.14
I know it is a mistake but it is funny to point out
Light does have molecules in the form of photons. It acts as a particle as much as it does a wave as Einsteins wave particle duality experiment showed.
i know but they are not molecules they are particle/waves.
+the nerdygeek channel really does anyone really care. just enjoy the god damn comics. jesus.
Not molecules, particles.
awesome intro to Nick grey..i would love to see a more detail video on this character. thanks!!
A full Nate Grey discussion is a must
When I listened to his powers all I could say was holly shit
Me : So..... Can you make a cookie appear it of thin air?
X-man : Ummm..... No.
Me: Ok then I don't care.
cookie with a cap*
Matter manipulation is one of his powers. He can make a cookie out of thin air.
and more nate gray his age of Apocalypse story line was one of the best "someone who has never even heard of xavier willing to die for his beliefs"
i need more nate grey in my life.
Batman could beat him with prep
ray beats nope
bats can beat the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl with prep... doesn't mean that it will happen in a conceivable time though, and the writers should also be on his side to make it possible.
Batman has probably best plot armor in all DC and Marvel together (maybe after Captain America). As human he's simply superb athlete with amazing figting skils etc. What makes him powerfull are gadgets which are cool. But how u compare that to characters that time travel, warp realities, blast whole planets or even universes, can manipulate energy on atom levels or heal from almost any injury etc. Batman should be destroy by many of them in seconds but DC made him his flaghero next to the Superman
Daniel Zwierzynski it was a joke
With prep time bats can defeat all dc and marvel heroes and villains
How is he not beyond omega?
Love the Ice Cap Zone remix early in the video.
Please further this topic it's awesome
I hate when characters are this powerful.
+kelly2charmin Which is why I hate Thanos, Galactus and fucking the DAMN Phoenix.....
+RaginDXDemon But the ones you mentioned were all defeated...
+RaginDXDemon Thanos is nowhere near that powerful Galactus is a universal constant and I think the same could be said about Phoenix as well (they force outside of Jean Grey)
However Franklin Richards Scarlett Witch Jim Jasper Matthew Malloy certain versions of Sentry I do find annoying that they are so strong
+RaginDXDemon Y'all should be hating on superman then, his powers are just given to him by writers and that's why no one knows his true strength
marem19 I still dont like Thanos. I didnt say it to say he compared to him but FUCK I just dont like his ass. The phoenix force dear God Im just tired of hearing about that shit. Another reason why mutants couldnt catch a damn break
Matthew malloy vs xman vs Franklin Richards
Franklin Richards would win
At their fullest potentials, Matthew Malloy is beyond Omega level and would wipe the floor with the other two.
Matthew Malloy is way>>>>>Franklin>>Nate but i don't Franklin is powerful than Nate that much.
I believe X-Man would win. Sure, Matthew is the most powerfull and Franklin can create universes but X-Man knows how to control his Omega Level Powers, so if he uses them correctly maybe he would win.
nova boom Matthew would win, he literally can't die.
Watching some of these older videos are so different lol
Yes, please do a longer video, I love your long vids.
+tappajavittu Nice name you got there. xD
nate grey sounds like something a 9yr old would come up with. "What can he do?" "EVERYTHING!!" At this point, his character basically enters the "superman paradox" where, if he's so powerful nobody can stop him, what's the point? why is he interesting?
His powers were very literally killing him or they would eventually. On top of that his family was killed in the Age of Apocalypse by Sinister and he had huge trust issues with the X-men of the other world because they were evil in his and he was only like 16 dealing with all this.
That's a myth, there's no such thing as a "superman paradox", it's just an excuse for writers that aren't good enough. Was Dr.Manhattan a boring character? Was Sandman ever boring?
OP characters aren't intrinsecally impossible to write, they are just HARD. Much much harder to write than a street level character.
TheSavageNerds
Yes. Exactly my point.
That's why they nerfed his powers by 99% in the last New mutants run, so he could be part of a team and generally useless.
Superman can't do everything. Clark wouldn't even last 3 seconds against Nate in a fight.
