I live in Texas, so it is out of question to grow them outside. Are they OK with having just grow lights over them? And how often do you repot them?

Natural light is always the best if you can keep them close to a bright window , but they will also do well under grow lights , They don't mind a tight fit so if your media does not break down you can keep them in the same pot for a long time . 👍

So are they orchids that need a higher amount of humidity?
not really they do well with 50% or higher . And that makes them fairly easy for indoors if you can provide enough light . Over 80% humidity and you can almost stop watering altogether .
