My dog had seizures. It also looked like he was having fear and anxiety before the seizure started. It was from taxoplasmosis from cat faeces. He was given ivermectin and his seizures stopped. Amazing. Thank God!
My dog just had it randomly yesterday- it was definitely scary for both my mom and I. After she was done having tje seizure which lasted about a minute. She was just normal- she never puked or had another episode. She was just back to her cheerful self. I'm waiting for monday to take her to the vet.
My 5 years old dog had a seizure 2 days ago. He was really excited and it happened all of a sudden. It was kinda mild, if I could describe it that way. He collapsed and his entire body was shaking, he had no limb movement. He was also drooling a lot. It lasted around 5 minutes, I think. We took him to the vet and they don't believe it's epilepsy, considering that he didn't have another seizure in 24h, just the one. They reccomended a heart scan (English is not my first language, I don't know how that's called). Other than that, he is completely fine, he just behaves like his normal self. What could it be? I love this baby the most 😢
I just went through the same thing myself today with my three-year-old female pit. She's currently at the vet with overnight care that gave her a sedative and and IV for fluids. She is mine and my wife's baby and we wouldn't know what to do without her so thank you for this, it gives me hope 😢
My dog had a seizure for the first time yesterday and it definitely scared me. I freaked out because I’ve never seen a seizure and I didn’t know what to do. I thought I was going to lose my fur baby. It was sooo painful to watch and I cry just thinking about it. I don’t even know what type of seizure he had bc it didn’t look as severe as some videos I’ve seen. Now I am definitely going to educate myself in what to do and how to prevent it because I don’t want to see my baby go through that again because it so painful for me. I cannot stand the thought that a seizure could take my baby away. 😖
@@miavaladez9943 my dog had his first seizure about 3 weeks ago. It scared the life out of me and I sat with him for about the 3 minutes it lasted. I took him to the vet and had blood tests which all seem good. He’s had two since then. I did a lot of research and started to use CBD oil every morning and evening. His last seizure on Tuesday was only less than a minute. He didn’t lose his bladder or bowel control and there was no foaming at the mouth this time. I had read some positive things about using CBD oil. The vet said using it on him was fine. He’s 2 years old so probably epileptic. All the best. With your dog. I would prefer him not to go on meds at this stage of his life. At least he won’t suffer the side effects of the meds at this early stage of his life.
aaaww! I had to put down my beloved dog 3 years ago 😭 he ended up having 4 seizures in less than two hours due the ehrlichiosis, (I couldn't do anything just trying to comfort him, while I was crying, it's so painful) his brain was damaged by the bacteria and he was suffering a lot... I miss you my dear Tobbi! 🥺
My dog of 15 years had about 5 seizures in matter of mins. He died few hrs later on June 22. Seeing seizures happen in real time was frightening. I felt so helpless and not able to do anything. I miss so much now and house is very quite now.
Please.... I would really like to hear your opinion about my now deceased dog. First of all, I live in a country where there is no veterinary neurologist. I had a 10 year old male pit bull, relatively healthy dog, except for having occasionally upset stomach and diarrhea from certain food. In April 2019 my dog was diagnosed with osteoarthritis and hip dysplasia. During the examination an X-ray was done, and he was sedated, after 10 minutes started manifesting head tremors and convulsions but the vet said that some dogs are reacting that way and it is normal. After 4 hours he was at home, started having the same head tremors, beside that hallucinations, nystagmus and that condition lasted almost 3 days, because of that he received IV meds, the vet told me he was overdosed from the sedation and that it will pass soon. Everything was back to normal after that. The only symptoms that he showed was limping after long walks, or when jumping from high stairs, no signs of pain nor whining, maybe due to the high pain tolerance. I was giving him medications for the condition, feeding him with boiled chicken, rice, vegetables etc. (he was spoiled and didn't like dog food). On December 16th and 17th i noticed him drooling excessively, panting which lasted maybe 10-15 minutes, then he would lay next to me, cuddling and act normal. I took him to the vet that evening, they did blood test and the results came back ok, he seemed like a healthy dog, his liver and kidneys were normal. The next day on December 18th, in the evening he started circling around the house, without noticing us as family members, whining, feeling restless, which is very uncommon for him. Gave him Diazepam - Benzodiazepine as the vet suggested to me, because the vet office was closed and my dog fell asleep half an hour after that. Two hours later, while we were asleep and he was laying next to me on the bed, suddenly after midnight woke up and crawled out of the bed, started acting like he is going to fall on the floor, his was standing but his legs were barely holding his body and in a minute when i got to him just fell on my arms. He was laying motionless, urinate and defecate himself, his eyes were open but with a blank look. Started giving him CPR, just trying to do something, anything...Next thing I know shortly after that collapsing he started having cluster seizures in a 10 minutes apart whole evening. In the morning we took him to the vet he placed him in an induced coma, gave him phenobarbital and meds for treating brain swelling but he still went in a continuous state of seizures. His seizures stopped after 24 hours when he died, his heart didn't make it :( The vet told me that day my dog was diagnosed with status epilepticus, because of neurological disorder and there was nothing he could do about that, only treating the symptoms. Two months I'm struggling to find out something, searching for answers, I can't describe the pain and guilt I am feeling, it is unbearable. PLEASE I would really appreciate your expert opinion about this. Thank you in advance.
I'm sorry to hear that you and your dog went through so much. Honestly, I would only be speculating as to what the cause was, but in a dog with normal blood results I would be most worried about a cancerous underlying cause. Poisoning is less likely unless there was the potential for your dog to have eaten something on several different occasions, and some parts of the world are more likely to have infections that can cause neurological problems. What I am certain of is that you did all you could have done
My dog is around 4 years old and just had a seizure today, with no warning, I'm hoping to get him checked out this week but it's definitely a scary experience.
My Malamute gal of 13 years was doing perfectly fine this saturday and was acting all normal and hyperactive. Suddenly that evening she had a seizure of 3 minutes and struggled walking for a while and could barely recognize us anymore, after that she was hit by multiple other seizures and had to be put down. It just happened so quickly and hurts so much
My dog is having one right now. Came home from work and he is pretty bad. First one he has ever had, at 13 yes old. I’ve suspected he has had brain cancer for awhile ☹️.
I went thru horrifying seizures with my dog. The cure was antacids if i ever hear bubbles in the belly and a complete diet change with no human food and dog shelf treats. The cause was gas from food.
My dog has recently been having seizures once a day for 2 days now. Took her to the vet, she tested positive for Ehrlichiosis. Could this likely be the reason? She also tested low for platelets and b vitamin complex.
2 year Golden retriever hes healthy full of energy and playful. Sleeps alot. Has been having Seizures once every 2 to 3 weeks. Happens when hes sleeping he will move to the same corner each time. Seizure lasts about 30 seconds. Usually before the seizure hes very playful and then at a random moment he will have a seizure. The gap in the seizures is very confusing. Any feedback you can provide? Anyone have the same issue?
I've got a whole series about seizures and epilepsy that may help you and your dog - ruclips.net/video/2E8JlRMt_vk/видео.html Getting your dog checked over if you haven't already is going to be the first step to controlling his seizures
I've been experiencing the same thing with my dog. It started once a month, it wasn't until the 3rd month thay I realized what it was bc it started occurring weekly. I took her to the vet, they put her on medicine but I didn't like how it made her act, so I started putting CBD oil in her food. She didn't have a seizure for 4 weeks straight.
My dog died when he had multiple seizures in 30 mins. It was so sudden. He was just 1 year old rottie. He was a very kind, joyful and happy soul. In the morning he was all fine and active playing and then when we went to the vet for the check-up as he was not eating meals in day time but in night he was. she said he is having tick fever and started the antibiotics treatment and when we reach home he started having diahera and loose motions. Again I went to the vet she said it's nausea and gave him more siring and injections after that we came home. After 3-4 hours he started having seizures and by the time I could reach the emergency hospital he died. She gave doxycycline 100mg *4 and his weight was 33 kgs. I believe that the extra dose of doxycycline made him vomit, diahera and eventually leads to a seizure. It's just my theory which could be wrong as well.He didn't have a single tick on him I gave him that bravco medicine as well and ensured that he shouldn't have a single tick while combing, bathing etc. I don't know where I felt short and couldn't save my baby. All I know is that my baby was healthy, happy and playful in the morning and by the evening he died because of all the shitty antibiotics.
I don't think you fell short at all but also, unless he had some kind of allergic reaction, that dose of doxycycline was not responsible for the seizures. It sounds like there was something else going on giving that his eating habits had changed and you were concerned enough to get him checked over. Then whatever it was rapidly accelerated. I'm so sorry for your loss
My dog plucky now 11 has had 5 seizures yesterday and sadly I’m away in the military so I can’t be there rn for him back home and my parents r keeping me updated. I fear the worst and I just don’t wanna say goodbye to the good boy he is. Please someone help or give advice. I know what’s to come but I hate I can’t be there for him and he’s helped me with so much and he’s such a good boy
Be careful with anti flea and ticks, drops, collars and especially Bravecto pills! I first used a Seresto collar but the minute he wore it he began to acting strange with convulsions. So I immediately washed him and he recovered well after that poison. But the monster Vet advised me to use Bravecto that was better according to him… so I gave it bc the MONSTER vet recommended it… Giving my dog bravecto caused seizures to my dog. I gave him the 18th august a pill and soon after that he began having seizures. It started once a week sometimes 2,3 and now he has cluster seizures about 20 times a day. Yesterday I started giving him cbd oil 5% and he has sinds yesterday 5 seizures. So i think it works(I am from Europe btw)!
My sisters dog just had one an hour ago and I believe it was because she was too excited of my other dog and she started freaking out she’s fine now but still hope this doesn’t happen again
My dog has seizure in every few months, sometimes once in every 6 months and it usually last around 30 minutes. She doesn’t lose conscious during the time. I took her to the vet twice, done the bloodwork and everything normal on the blood result. The vet recommended to do ultrasound as a next step. I’m not sure what to do and hoping if you can give any suggestions. Thank you!
my small 2 yo dog had a weird episode tht looked like a seizure....we think she choked on a small treat and it caused her to stiffen up. she hides a lot under the bed too lately.
I hope you guys find out what’s causing it and can heal him...... I literally just got home from the veterinarian, my boxer would have been 13 in April he’s been having seizures once every month or so and they progressed into a few a day and today he started having mild or mini seizures every 15 mins so we had to make the hardest decision I’ve ever made and send him off to heaven. Man am I having a hard time, I feel so bad. I just feel like I could have done more even though at almost 13 I know there isn’t much we could have done. I loved him like he was our first child. Good luck God bless
My auntie was babysitting a dog and when the owners came to drive up and walked out the vehicle and take it home the dog was so excited that it just died
My dog 5 months old was having a mid seizure,, first 2am, 6am, 11am today.. She was diagnosed with Parvo the previous week.. I took her to the local vet,, he told me it was her nervous system.. Just gave her a shot of nerve medicine.. Her symptoms was. Her head was shaking uncontrollably,, and foam of saliva was coming from her mouth.. Can you help??
My 4 months old boston terrier just had 4 episodes yesterday and 1 episode today and the vet dont know what causes his seizure cause he is all negative with distemper even in cbc i think thats genetic pls help :(
If everything else is normal and he has not eaten anything or been given any kind of medication then it may be that a referral to a neurologist is the best option if the seizures continue
@@OurPetsHealth the vet gave him a meds for his episodes yesterday for 15 days and after he take a piece of medicine he never got an episode til today.
But we need to gave him medicines for 15 days and put him back to the clinic for check up. After he ate a treat on aug. 25 he starts to vomit and after 2 hrs he got his 1st episode and after the first episode we go to vet clinic and then his cbc shows nothing but his glucose is a little high. The vet assumptions maybe genetic.
Question- do you think a pinched nerve could cause seizure like symptoms. Stella was displaying signs of pain for three days then she had what looked like a seizure. I brought her to the vet next day her blood is clean her check up went well she had another seizure that night but it was mild Earlier that day when she had a mild seizure I’d given her laser therapy along with massage Should be laying on her bed and she’ll start crying out in pain for no reason this happened on Saturday a few days before seizure like symptoms showed up- I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks so much!
I have a 5lb 1 yr old poodle that has now has 3 seizures in a 2 month period. Only happens when he’s sleeping. Vet says his liver enzymes are elevated. We rechecked 2 more times after being out on liver supplements & still elevated. Taking him for a bile test next week. They’re trying to rule out a liver shunt. Anyone else have experience with this? Does surgery fix the problem?
what about EFS (Episode falling down syndrome) in King Charles Cavilers . Can this cause seizures. He was diagnosis at 6 months through DNA . I woke up and he could not move and he was drooling and only moving his eyes. He is currently on clonazepam
It can look a bit like a seizure but is not the same. The big difference is then with EFS there is no loss of consciousness. You should get your dog checked over, hope he's ok

Today my dog ate a bar of 🍫 , I was worried and scared that I searched up for any kind of symptoms that happens when your dog is poisoned from eating chocolate. The results gave me that seizure can happen . For now she hasn't shown any symptoms yet and also she just vomits a lot even if she isn't sick . I'm just thinking she has an upset stomach but this has happening for a long time now.... Can you plz tell me what is wrong with her , and what's gonna happen to her because of eating chocolate?.
@@OurPetsHealth Thank you for this but can u please tell me why she vomits all the time?. Yesterday also I noticed that she vomited .Do you think she might be sick or anything?. Yesterday's morning my 2 year old dog started to be scared, he seemed to be in pain, so we just removed his leash and he started running. After 2 minutes of running he started running towards us and had a 2-3 minute seizure.... After that he died. I was crying for atleast 2 hours and even now I am crying if u think about it.
Oh no! This sounds like my dog right now! He’s been crying all night last night and he’s had 2 seizures so far. But right now, he seems fine and has been quiet. I am so scared, I don’t want him to die!
My dog was 5 year old our years April 20-24 he had 3 seizures out the blue never had one before 😢that day He end up passing away the next day ❤Rip Buddylove Morris
My dog is had a seizure 2 times now. We took them to the vet for testing but they said it could be an infection or a kidney disease 😢😢😢idk what to do is the kidney disease curable or not?
If the kidney disease has only come on suddenly and the cause is treatable then it could be completely reversible. If the problem has been going on longer then this might not be the case but some can be managed very successfully into the future. Good luck
Our Pets Health 3 o clock we went to the vet to see his condition. The doc said it is a kidney disease and said it’s very critical we where scared but the doctor said he was suffering. He said he conditions can’t be reversed so me and my mother talked about it and she said “we loved him ok. But I can’t see him suffer like this” I had to make a choice because there is nothing I can do. There’s a thing called Mercy killing. So yeah your a doctor you know what that is....... thanks for trying to help...... 2004- Feb 10 2019 🙁🙁🙁
Hi, please help. My 8yr old, healthy dog was prescribed 3 doses of metacam and antibiotics for a soft non-painfull lump on her bottom. An hour and a half after the 3rd dose she had a full blown seizure. She has had another 8 full blown seizures lasting around 2 minutes in 2.5 days. All her blood work is normal. She has been diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy and toxicity has been ruled out as the cause. She has no history of seizures. How long before metacam leaves her system and will the seizures stop? I'd be grateful for any advice. Many thanks.
Hi mate, I hope your pup is doing well. I'm looking for answers and I came across your comment because of our similar experience. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to our beautiful dog. We treated her for a urinary infection, and it was the second treatment of antibiotics because there were still traces of infection. She had no history of seizures and generally a healthy dog except se arthritis due to her age. Tesa was on metacam and quinol antibiotics, and she died from it. I've read about the antibiotic, and it was the second course that maker sick, as the first treatment was a different antibiotic and she was fine from it. I gave her the antibiotic with food and then 10mil of metacam ( the recommended dose) . Within 40 min she had a seizure. I didn't give her metacam the second day, only the antibiotics, she had excessive saliva after 30 min and very lethargic. On Sunday morning, she had one seizure after another. Here I'm with a broken soul, trying to find answers because I can't shake the guilt that she would be still here with me if hadn't started her on a new treatment that actually took her away. Vets didn't check with me any other medication and I trusted them and I didn't think to check if there is any risk. Of course they won't admit that actually medication interaction provoked toxicity and her little body couldn't fight against it. Tesa was a beautiful cocker spaniel .
Thanks now I'm more freaked out than I was, but I'm bringing her to the vet . Well my dog is an epileptic, but I'm starting to think her seizures are caused from to much protein cause she eats more human food than dog food. She's also now on medication for the. Seizures.
My dog just had a random little seizure were he hunched his back and shook a little but was totally aware of his surrounding and wanted me to give him pets and kisses! He was pulling a sled with me on it becuase it snowed today and my brother stupidly hooked it to his collar so I don't know if I hit a nerve and made him have a little seizure becuase it lasted only 2 minutes and he was aware the whole time
On his collar as in round his neck? Not how something should be pulled. A full seizure involves loss of consciousness but you can get partial seizures. Keep a close eye on him
@@OurPetsHealth I know it was me and my brothers stupidity! We hooked the string to the collar metal piece😞 I feel so horrible now. Hes my baby and I didn't mean to hurt him 😭 he is a lab to so he could've got a excersize induced collapse becuase he did run off leash for another 5 minutes after he got done pulling the sled so
@@OurPetsHealth I definitely will start using the harness! Tomorrow I'm gonna let him off leash and see if he has a attack again and if so we will know if its EIC!
Neck trauma..have acupuncture treatment for him..I saw it mentioned in another seizure video. Like when a chained up dog runs after something and hits the end of his chain. Same result.
My dog started having seizures in late June, we took her to emergency vet, they ran tests,. didn't find anything other than she was dehydrated. They wanted to keep her overnight but that would have cost $1000. For the tests they ran which was for heartworms which she didn't have. They also did some ultrasound to make sure something hadn't ruptured, nothing there. They gave me antibiotics to give her for 2 weeks which she finished. But she is still having them. A week later she had 2 or 3 in the same night. She was good for 2 weeks almost 3 but she started again. 😓 I took her to another vet and he said it could just be something she ate or licked like a frog.. but we have been watching her closely especially when outside, so this time the frog explanation doesn't make sense. Why don't the vets want to diagnose her so she can get her medicine she needs? 😓 I forgot to mention she foams at the mouth, are they seizures?;or poisoning. Plz help
that's what happened to my dog this summer and she had thrown up before then went outside and she is a labradoodle so she was dehydrated and overheateded and had a mild seizure and i was only 12 when it happened and i just had to sit there and whatch it happen
My dog is having seizures about once a week, I’m adding CBD Tincture to his food in the morning and it helps. Do some research on it and try it out. Vets are not much help on this. My bill was $1000.00 and they gave me antibiotics for 2 weeks. CBD is much cheaper
Helpful to know it’s probably not epilepsy as she is over 11 years old. I may have given her a bad batch of a can of pet food, that she threw up. But that was several days ago. But I don’t know how I could be so stupid to see something wasn’t entirely right this canned wet dog food, as it looked like it had been compressed and a little (not entirely, but a little) bad… But I thought it should be okay. But it could be a lot of things, you really start second guessing everything you do and have done in the past…
Interesting, our dog started to have seizures at 3 and when we moved she stopped. Not sure if the seizures stopped when we switched food or from the endless apples she ate from the first yard. SHe would eat the whole apple, seeds and all. Now I know that seeds contain arsenic.
@@OurPetsHealth She was 6 years old when she stopped having them which coincided with our move. We moved to the country so we have well water. I am not sure what stopped the seizures, not drinking city water, changing her food, different environment. We didn't medicate her as we were afraid of the side effects and she didn't have that many. We figured if she had them more often than we would do something. I am thinking she had seizures about 7 - 8 times a year. Seemed like it didn't matter what she was doing, sometimes she would be "sleeping" sometimes she would be greeting someone at the door. We changed her food from Purina to Nutro when we moved. I wish I knew what caused it and what stopped it to help other people. Thank you for your information.
My American Eskimo is just 51 days old. I brought her home 3 days ago. She usually goes in dirty places. While sleeping, she randomly has seizures. It lasts about 20-30 seconds. Any suggestions?
She really needs to see a vet. the most likely causes are a congenital problem she was born with or an infection that could be treatable. I hope you get good news
About 2 yrs ago my min-pin which is 7 now started having really severe seizures that last anywhere from 4 to 8 minutes took him to vet they don't know but put him on phenobarbital I switched him to CBd oil cause if his behavior on the vets medication he still has them from time to time but when he has one you can count on 2 or 3 more to follow over a day or so what can I do
depends on the cause - check in with your vet. these other videos might also help once you know what is going on ruclips.net/p/PLNiiJwzsRMiQu3iX5MKPQyVfhuCWuWF_X
My pet had his first seizure at the age of 2 year and after 3 years he suffered from next episode of seizure nd now its frequency has been increased. He had an episode on 27 oct thn on 15 nov thn on 9 dec nd thn on 11 nd 12 dec plss suggest something
It depends on the cause. Epilepsy is certainly very possible and this video might help - ruclips.net/video/2E8JlRMt_vk/видео.html Getting your dog checked over is going to be a really important step to take though
CBD Oil. My dog had seizures and nothing helped but CBD Oil. 4 drops on a treat and she hasn't had a seizure in over a month. She hasn't fully recovered her personality though. While very outgoing and happy before, now she doesn't want to be in my lap or cuddle. She is timid and sleeps a lot. She also doesn't bark anymore, even at the door bell, doesn't greet people and doesn't want to go outside to do her business. Seizures definately do effect a dog and changes them. So be prepared if your dog does forget things and people. It also has affected her eyesight. We have no idea why she is seizing. Just time will tell if she fully recovers or not. It's been 6 weeks since a seizure.

In young dogs then epilepsy, infection and poisoning are most likely and if a dog is otherwise healthy between seizures then the former is normally the cause. I have a video with epilepsy facts you should check out ruclips.net/video/2E8JlRMt_vk/видео.html
My dog gets seizures or epilepsy i just took him to vet and can't find nothing wrong. WHEN HE GETS THEM he starts shaking specially his head and start vomiting clear sticky saliva and pees , poops at the same time it last for at least a minute and it's happening to him at least once or twice a week . ANY ADVICE? Thanks
If your dog has had a seizure do you know what the cause was? Let me know. If your dog has epilepsy then make sure you check out this video letting you know the major facts you NEED to know: ruclips.net/video/2E8JlRMt_vk/видео.html
What about Rabies and the illness caused by the parvovirus?? In some instances when these viruses affect the brain, do they cause seizures? And heat strokes can cause seizures if the temperature in the animals rises into unhealthy levels? You didn’t include these important informations?
Infection is one complete category so would clearly include those you mention. In heat stroke it is mainly due to organs failing and an imbalance in salts and other waste products in the blood
Only if it is VERY severe and causes the bodies organs to start failing and toxins to start building up in the blood. By this stage a dog or cat would be pretty much comprised and close to death.
My dog just had one tonite.just out of the blue.i almost lost him I picked him up took him out side.brought him back in.took a wet wash rag and rubbed him down .I dont know if he got to hot of what.i scared he will have another one.hes 5 yrs old.i cant lose my baby.earier he was panting bad.keep drinking warter.
That’s a lot. You need to see your vet so you can get things under control and then get the right diagnosis before being able to know what the best treatment is going to be
I thought I'd try to have some facts for the vet so i shot many video's as my vet had no idea, and insisted on giving him Metacam and then Gabapentin then yesterday Metacam again, even though I'd said it hadn't made any difference. I havent bothered giving him the Metacam this time. Yesterday I sent them a video of many jolts and licking but have heard nothing yet. My dog had just had some teeth out and shortly afterwards he started jolting. It can be in his head so he shakes it, it can be in the shoulder area, it can be in the middle area, the rear jolt seems to be the worst, if it doesn't wake him i can see his legs drawing in and he'll let out a small bit of air like a burp. If it wakes him its a violent one as it will eject him out of bed and he will be reluctant to get back in. On watching a few seizure video's I'm not thinking its a seizure as most go on for a few seconds or minutes, mine just has a jolt, then maybe another in five minutes, then another.., ive even seen one whilst he was awake stood up. He does have periods asleep when nothing happens that have lasted for an hour or two, but he's regularly up at 3:30 am, I say regularly he's been up every night since he had his teeth done. What wakes me up is the licking that he does after being woken. If I ask him how he's doing he does the licking again, both sides and through the front which made me ask the vet if it was teeth based. In the quest for facts I've filmed his food bowl for weeks with no sign of pain or discomfort whilst eating or chewing.
my dog had a seuzuir less than 10 minute ago. We think it was from heat. He started randomly foaming out the mouth it was pretty scary and just downright terrible. I was legit screaming and yelling and all of the above.edit: it could have been from a wasp too.
it would be pretty unusual to have a seizure from heat unless he was suffering severe heat stroke and remains very unwell, in which case he needs to see a vet ASAP. hope he's OK and you get to the bottom of the problem quickly
Sir, Really Urgent! Please help and advise my dog start getting fits, he is 3.5 months. He yell and throw form from his mouth even shit on the spot, very painful to him. Please advise
@@OurPetsHealth Hey I want to know if my dog has seizures due to genetic reasons. She's about 5 years of age and she's a German Shepherd. She's fairly smaller that the average Shepherd and she has skin issues. She's had only 2 seizures so far. It's awful to see and it hurts that I can't interfere at the moment. What can I do to reduce these issues and is it most likely due to genetic reasons?
You put idiopathic seizures at number 5 when it is the most common cause and not something that requires emergency treatment. Dogs can live healthy lives with epilepsy
Absolutely dogs with epilepsy can live full and normal lives, something I stress in my epilepsy video - ruclips.net/video/2E8JlRMt_vk/видео.html - As for whether emergency treatment is needed for epileptic seizures, often it's not but sometimes it is - longer seizures or multiple seizures in quick succession for example
Our Pets Health the belief is founded on evidence! I agree that there could be a whole lot of reasons but not one mention of diet??? Wheat causes seizures in humans, proven fact! Though the establishment doesn’t want anyone to know this bc no profit in it for them.
There is some evidence that a diet rich in medium chain fatty acids such as those found in coconut oil can reduce seizure frequency. CBD oil is currently being researched and may prove promising but check out my video on CBD oil for more info on this
@@rajthiru1069 A raw food diet will stop your dogs seizures. Seizures are caused by an imbalance of gut microbiota. Find some good probiotics for your dog too. Do not feed the gut bacteria any grains or potato. Sweet potato, vegetables, raw meats and chicken wings are excellent.

I've been experiencing the same thing with my dog. It started once a month, it wasn't until the 3rd month thay I realized what it was bc it started occurring weekly.

That's really interesting! How old was she when you moved and how often was she having seizures?
Where are you located so I can take my Chihuahua to you he get seisurzes
Hi doctor I am from Pakistan i have a black colour Labrador he is 1 year old he got seizures 2 times, one today and one 2.5 months ago.. what's the problem with him?will he be cured? doctor prescribed him diazepam and methycobal injection..will he be ok?plz tell me I am really upset 😢plz help..tell me something
In young dogs then epilepsy, infection and poisoning are most likely and if a dog is otherwise healthy between seizures then the former is normally the cause. I have a video with epilepsy facts you should check out ruclips.net/video/2E8JlRMt_vk/видео.html

I am so scared my dog has been having them
Give your vet a call. I hope they are under control very soon
My dog just suffered a seizure... hes never had one before...
Yea I was sitting and my dog just stopped looked around and then just stiffened up and fell on my feet and I’m on 13
But luckily right before having one got up
Can an electrolyte imbalance cause seizures?
Can dehydration cause seizures?
Only if it is VERY severe and causes the bodies organs to start failing and toxins to start building up in the blood. By this stage a dog or cat would be pretty much comprised and close to death.
@@OurPetsHealth thank you. My brothers dog experienced a seizure yesterday. She's never had one before. I'm so concerned.
My dog just had one tonite.just out of the blue.i almost lost him I picked him up took him out side.brought him back in.took a wet wash rag and rubbed him down .I dont know if he got to hot of what.i scared he will have another one.hes 5 yrs old.i cant lose my baby.earier he was panting bad.keep drinking warter.
my dog has had 6 seizures in the past 28 hours, what can we do?
That’s a lot. You need to see your vet so you can get things under control and then get the right diagnosis before being able to know what the best treatment is going to be
Mine lasted 40 mins repeatedly then happened again at midnight and the next morning we wake up!
My dog is 9 and just had a seizure and she is healthy but I don’t know what to do
Call your vet. I hope it's just a one off

Definitely don't feed collagen, that's for sure.

to be honest this is not something I know the answer to
@@OurPetsHealth ok...thank you for your reply

My dog that is three has seizures
My dog is having so many seizers. He has had more than 15 in just a hr
Take him to vet 😢
Same here😭😭😭😭😭
I was told to give honey and it works like a miracle.
How so
Sir, Really Urgent! Please help and advise my dog start getting fits, he is 3.5 months. He yell and throw form from his mouth even shit on the spot, very painful to him. Please advise
He really needs to see a local vet as seizures that age are not very common and are likely to have a cause behind them other than epilepsy
How to cure epilepsy
Who’s here from the pitbull from tik tok🥺
me 😢
SEIZURE!
1) bizarre music, 2), you're way too close to the camera mate
This is from 6 years ago. We've all got to learn at some point and there was no media course as part of my vet degree!
My dog died because of it😢
You put idiopathic seizures at number 5 when it is the most common cause and not something that requires emergency treatment.
I think my pug gave my chiwauawa a seizure right now.
There would be a different underlying reason for the seizure starting. Have they had a vet check?
I'm just waisting my TIME u don't get to the point?my cuz dog Bruno is having a SEIZUR!
Please call your vet rather than watch RUclips in an emergency
I don't even have a dog I got here high on weed
Can anyone tell me if the video is really that shaky?
Not one mention of diet?? What a joke! Wheat is your biggest culprit
If you want to believe that I'm not going to argue. You might want to assess what this belief is founded on though 😜
Our Pets Health the belief is founded on evidence! I agree that there could be a whole lot of reasons but not one mention of diet??? Wheat causes seizures in humans, proven fact! Though the establishment doesn’t want anyone to know this bc no profit in it for them.
@@groovyme1234 hi can you please tell me what food or natural medication to give to our dog lab having seizure
