I just love your voice because you can tell exactly how enthusiastic you are about your work and it really is infectious (maybe a poor choice of words but I don't know how to get my point across better).
I like that this switch has screw terminals instead of pre-attached wires that you need to use wire nuts/Wagos for. This works well for crowded shallow boxes in older homes. Great video by the way. I really enjoy your content, Bill!
Great to see your building your channel up. Great if you consistently show proving dead with a proving unit, and then lockout and tagout. You have years of experience but good practice always helps for younger sparkies who think working live is the way to go.
Yes, the channel has really been coming back! Almost 60K subscribers now. And to think I had 0 in February 2020! Working on live circuits is a foolish activity except when there is no other way possible. And then all the PPE and insulated tools must be used and it should only be done by pros. Thanks!
Sparky, you certainly have a Teacher's Heart, and a Teaching Spirit! Love the way you name each tool, because many people wonder, "Now what's that thing called?" Very precise and clear video; everything precisely explained. Subscribed & Liked - KUDOS! John 3:16
thanks for the helpful video! I ordered a Lutron timer switch. It doesn't have the screw available for the neutral connect. It only has two screws which I'm understanding to be for both the hot wire (black), Can this timer still be used? I see that the original ON/ OFF did not have a neutral connect
Can you use this timer switch in a 3 way senecio? My kids are constantly turning the garage lights on and they leave the house, only for me to find them on hours later when I return home. I would like to have a timer switch in the mud room, but leave the one by the front of the garage standard.
IMO Leviton is the best for switches, outlets and GFIC's. IMO Lutron makes the best dimmers. Lutron invented the dimmer and they are exceptional in this category. Just my opinion.
@@SparkyChannel I agree their combination AFCI and GFCI receptacle are really high quality I have them on most of my branch circuits in my home and I have tested them so I now how consistently they work and electronically designed which limits false tripping.
The one-minute off/on-warning to switch time-out can be kind of annoying when used in a fan timer capacity. It would be nice if the one minute off/on warning was user-selectable and could be disabled. Otherwise, I love the timer.
If the if you reversed the line and load wires (load to black terminal and line to bronze terminal), will it work without issues? I know reversing these two connections in a “dumb” switch doesn’t matter
In a new condo unit, I had an orange and black wire attached to the existing Decora light switch. However, when I tried connecting the timer switch I had no ground wire. The black is hot, would the orange be considered the load? And is it okay if there is no white ground?
Looked at a few videos foe this product and yours is by far the clearest and easy to follow. Thank you

LOL! That's funny because nobody wants to use the word "infectious" during a pandemic! Thanks!
The way you explained the minute details like taping the leads after installation was very helpful !!
Glad it was helpful, thanks!

Yes, you can use it. The one with the neutral connection works more smoothly in some situations and it costs more.
Good job I like and I learned that
Excellent!
I dont deem to have a neutral wire.
How can ininstall this same switch?

Hi Fred! Yes, you can. Here's the switch description: Lutron Maestro Countdown Timer Switch for Halogen and Incandescent Bulbs, 5-Amp Light/3-Amp Fan, Single-Pole or Multi-Location, MA-T51MN-WH, White, neutral required: Amazon: amzn.to/2Vs6tXL
Thank you so much!!

Destornillador q usas donde lo compraste ??
The attached ground wire from the timer switch, is that in fact copper and okay to use in the wago nuts alongside the solid copper NM wire?
Yes, it's copper and the Wagos are good for all of the connections in this video.
@@SparkyChannel Thank you for the quick reply! I've really appreciated your channel, keep it up, you rock!
Bill your videos great.
Can you do video on timer switch on bathroom heater.
Thank you

Muy bueno, it’s helping me with my classes

That’s not going to work… but yes, is does, is very glitches…
Is very important follow the instruction.
I hope this very help with you
THANK YOU.
Thanks
What did you do with the grounding wire
Connect to ground

Thanks and welcome to Sparky Channel!
I'm a little confused. In another video, you called it a "WAHGO" lever nut, here you said "WAYGO" lever nut. Which is it? XD
For the correct pronunciation from the WAGO rep see Bill's video from 8 months ago titled "WAGO Lever-Nuts Questions and Answers from NEC convention".
You sound like Scotty Kilmer?
Rev up your engines!

I love Wagos. Many Electricians don't trust them but only from their lack of education about them.
I agree. Thanks Rob!
If it's UL Listed, then they are safe.
Omg thank you lol
No problem, thanks!
