      Yes and I love it. Just like you it's my favorite finish. I think is even better than Acrylic.

    Great walkthrough! What fascinated me was that the satin finish (3rd sample) seem to reveal much more details in the shadows.

    You nailed it. I’ve printed on all of them. I don’t know what this new chromaLuxe is. Maybe do another video on that.
    I never print people on the sheet. It looks weird. Black and white pix are amazing on sheer.

    Excellent video, thank you. For all the reasons you stated, I print most of my photos on metal with differnet finishes. I would caution using Bay Photo. About four years ago, it took three tries for me to receive a 40x20 metal print that was undamaged during shipment. Needless to say, my client and I were not very happy. I called and made suggestions about how other print houses shipped metal prints without damage during shipment and they did not change their method. A few months later, I met their head of customer service at Imaging USA and shared my frustration and concerns with her. She assured me whe would look into it and get back to me. I am still waiting for a response. Needless to say, I stopped using Bay Photo and will likely not use them ever again. I have since started using White House Custom Color and they have lived up to my every expectation.

And yes my first metal print was done by bay photo the Lagoon nebula . I live in Northern California so great place for astrophotography. Big question is what printer to buy for this adventure. Thanks great video in that the choices of surface and results plus the deal from bay photo.

    In a living room, where we have some windows -- do you think satin may be better than high gloss? Photo is nature/lots of colors + some people

    • @Nateinthewild
      @Nateinthewild  2 года назад +1

      I definitely do. In a room with lots of windows you'll find high gloss a bit tough to see.
