    this was incredibly helpful, I thought I wanted aluminum but your demonstration and explanation really showed me I wanted an acrylic piece for a photo of my mother! so thank you!

    Thanks so much for making this video, Eric.
    I have been browsing "Alu-Dibond" videos for an hour now, and none of the videos was answering any of my questions!
    Most videos do not show the surface differences very much or they do not compare different formats, so it's hard to estimate the differences!

    Thanks so much! I've only printed my art once, and I was so disappointed with the outcome. Now I know it's because I printed it on canvas, but my piece really needs some glow. I'm going to try acrylic next

    Thank you for sharing! I think about printing for months now, but couldn't decide on the material yet. This will help in my decision.

    Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
    The first person to not name-drop a brand for printing to metal or acrylic. It was simply an objective comparison of the two medium formats- metal (in this case Aluminum) and acrylic.
    Also, I appreciate the fact that you did a better job than most videos comparing metal versus acrylic, you used the same image {photograph?}
    I would love to know if perhaps acrylic versus metal in a cross-exam against the photos dark versus bright. Which would be better?
    Thanks again for your objective video!

      Hi Warron! Glad the video could help you out a bit!
      For me personally, I am going to be an aluminum guy for the foreseeable future. Not only do I feel it is better for the environment, but I feel that the picture quality is better, and I do not get this quite disturbing sheen when exposed the bright lights.
      On top of that (and it could be due to the company I used) but the photo printed on acrylic can easily peel away if treated less-than-perfectly; whereas the aluminum print is strong and durable.

    Thank you for this video. I've been wanting to upload some outdoor photos and put them on acrylic instead of canvas. This has really helped. Thank you! 😃

    What is the name of aluminum, what type is used, and how can I obtain it? Thank you very much

      It's aluminum dibond --- you can just search for printing on aluminum, I guess the provider will change depending where you live.

    Hello, what kind of ink you used? pigment ink or sublimation ink, to heat press in acrylic sheet.

    Does acrylic look like a regular picture in a glass frame?

    • @ericinthewild
      @ericinthewild  3 года назад

      I'd say the acrylic has definitely a bit more reflection, but more or less ;)

    how do you frame it

    • @ericinthewild
      @ericinthewild  3 года назад

      You actually do not need to frame it, but use some strong Velcro tape (rather inexpensive), to place the alu print directly on the wall. However, you can also certainly use traditional framing methods too!

    Can the acrylic print break/crack if the photo was dropped???

    • @ericinthewild
      @ericinthewild  3 года назад

      Well, of course I haven't tested this --- but I find the acrylic to be much less durable than the metal print. I would recommend going with metal if you have any questions or concerns about durability.

      @Anthony Ricci no, it’s not. North Americans just decided to say it the lazy way. It’s not unlike when you say “antartica” instead of “Antarctica”. Feel free to show me “Aluminum” on the periodic table……I’ll wait here.
