After watching this video, make sure to also know about these 45 SECRET TRICKS in Dragon's Dogma 2: ruclips.net/video/6RC3gf7NnHw/видео.html That video takes it to the next level and gives you a bunch of big-brained tips that will make your adventure even more enjoyable!
Cool video - some excellent advice but one comment about rotten food - it can often be combined to make something useful. For example, rotten meat and rotten spuds combines to make lamp oil (I think).
Not only this. But oil is used with twigs to make tarring arrows. Which is the greatest arrow for archers to use. Assuming targets aren't drenched or highly resistant to fire. As an enemy with a tarring arrow hit by ANY fire damage (hitting both them and the arrow). Will suffer additional fire damage from the arrow exploding. Or, if you wait till after the arrow bursts from non-fire damage or time. And then use a fire effect. They will catch on fire. Not only taking damage over time. But they also panick. This is doubly effective against enemies with fur (minotaur) or feathers (griffon). The panic animation results in them no longer attacking and being somewhat helpless to respond to the party for a good while. And can be done right after a down state. When big mobs are usually immune or highly unlikely to be knocked down again. Essentially chaining disables on big enemies. And if you're utilizing this strategy. You're going to want to make your own oil. As shops simply won't carry enough for you to supply this strategy constantly.
Another way to get to high up places, is to get a fighter pawn with the springboard ability, you can just use the go command, and they'll hunch down, allowing you to walk onto the shield and get a boost up.
On Pawns, I just always hire Pawns that are several lvls ahead of me, so I don't have to change them out as frequently. - If you use the Search function from the stone you can find Pawns that are close to 5-10 lvls higher than your lvl.
Exactly what I do. Except I use the rift stones in the major cities and search for OFFICIAL pawns made by Capcom... I've never found any of them having dragonsplague, and many times I can get the same exact named character just 10 levels higher than the previous version. Sure they cost a bit more RC, but worth it IMO for their usefulness.
Another serious mistake: Not changing vocations often. Play one vocation to maybe level 5 or 6, then change to another one... try to play all of them as early as possible. Because even if you play most of them only to level 5 or 6, you'll unlock very useful augments that can be used with every vocation. Point in case: Play "Trickster" to level 2, and you'll get the "Detection" augment, which helps to detect and find treasures and seeker's tokens. You'd definitely want that! Of course at some point you'll focus on a favorite vocation, but it's definitely worth it to dip your feet into the other ones too. Same is of course true for your pawn... As a side bonus, if you unlock useful augments for your pawn, you make it more attractive to other players to hire it.
It's weird, but I found that if I have one vocation very high, the remaining vocations seemed to level quicker. So if my Archer is level 9, the remaining vocations seem to level faster after that. Raising the first one to nine seems to be a slog, but after that, the others just seem to level much faster. Not sure if that's just in my head, but I know I switched to Thief after my Archer was 9, and suddenly my thief was at level four without even venturing far outside the city.
A little bit of conflict here in your information. Lantern Oil. Oil can be made by only combining at least one Rotten item (shorefish, tide swimmer, scrag of beast, or rotten beast-steak). Secondary items can include rotten items (harspuds) or oily slime. As a result you CAN let your food go bad, so long as you combine it to make the crucial lantern oil.
Here's another tip, especially for fighting drake's... if you use the mage skill "Solemnity" it actually forces the drake's to land... so you can get them over water, use the spell and they crash into the water and die. Then, the game auto-saves, you exit without saving, reload the game... and the drake is now on land accessible to loot. ;)
I had to laugh at your tip about paying attention to what the pawn's say... you mean like reminding me of a chest we've already looted, or reminding me about the ladder we already climbed days ago? Or how about telling me they know where something is, I hit "GO" and they just stand there- because... we've already looted that chest. Or I hit "GO" and then encounter a pack of enemies, and afterwards, the pawns are confused when I tell them to 'GO' because combat interrupted their AI. Honestly, telling me about an enemies resistance while in combat does nothing, because we cannot equip skills on the fly- so we're pretty much stuck with the skills we already have. How many players will slot an elemental skill for certain enemies- only to then encounter other enemies who are resistant to it? Sadly, unless you are targeting a specific boss monster, knowledge of resistance does little when exploring the world due to how many various enemies you encounter all the time.
Getting the detection augment from the Trickster vocation at rank 2 will make it much easier to find wakestone shards and seeker tokens, as well as the finder token (not gonna spoil what that is). It makes all of these things light up and blink brightly, even if inside a chest and there's a beeping or chirping sound that gets louder as you get closer. Awesome for when you're looking for these things. And easy to get. Highly recommended if you don't know where to go to find the finder's token.
OMG PPL you're not forced to buy MTX the game is good DD2 is not for everyone same as DD1 what being said an updated patch fix will be nice. Sorcerer FTW❤
Thank you so much for saying this! I swear some people just live to find something to complain about 😂 This game is so awesome, I cant stop playing my wife is PISSED!
@@PeopleRTheProblembut there is zero content behind a pay wall. No cosmetics, classes... Nothing. You can get everything the game has to offer without paying anything extra. So the comparing it to real mtx is silly... Thus people get frustrated with made up outrage
PS. There is a skill in the trickster line that pings you when a wake stone or seeker stone nearby. You do not need to break everything. Rotten food makes oil, aka tarring arrow and lamp fuel. Once you get up to 60s, you will keep pawns longer. You have to start paying more attention to them because someone may give them dragon aids in their playthrough and you can suffer for it. There is a maximum limit for the scarabs. You can only increase so much.
Regarding food If you have a lot of meat, wait for it to become aged and then turn it to dried meat for infinite storage time (conversion is 2 aged meat for one dried)
Also try out different vocations(class). I didn't know the Thief class was so op and the fact that you can use pilfer to steal some extra gold and wake stone pieces.
On one hand, the game looks so damn fun to the point where I'm making a Magick Archer in BG3. On the other, I'm worried the unstable framerate on PS5 couldl cause a few headaches.
Food in your chest will not expire! And btw you can combine 2 aged steaks of the same type, too. And now best tip ever! If you got too many items in your stash and you dont really need a pawn in your party, just put all items in his bag and send him away. All the loot will be sent in your chest. Pawns are travelling all over the world and you can replace him.
Unless, like me, you want pawns who are higher level to make things a bit easier; every pawn I come across in the open world is either at my level or lower it seems.
BIGGEST MISTAKE: Not having a thief with pilfer in your party. The pilfer skill can actually steal items from ANY enemy that is knocked over, grabbed, flinching or whatever, and you can get Wakestone shards from doing this to any mob enemy. That means Wakestones aren’t as rare as you think, they’re in fact quite common for thieves. I can safely say that I have so many wakestones from doing this that I can waste them on reviving ox cart guards.
I love my main pawn- Jamie the Lionhearted🤣cuz ya know...a lion😅 I catch myself out loud reassuring or saying " love ya buddy!" A testament to how excellent the AI is....crazy, right? I loved the og game, the Dark Arisen update and still play it, but this one is just....so good!!!❤
After hours of searching of where I picked up my firstt Seeker's Token, I looked in my bag and there it was! I had already found it days before. lol. What a dummy.
IKR! What sucks is they design a game that has tons of loot, and then penalize you based on your vocation and character size. "We want you to explore", then perhaps make it a lot easier for us to do so- and not just find beetles giving us a tiny fraction of increase for each. I mean, not penalizing people for their character size would be a great start.
This game is awesome. Omg all these people crying over microtransactions they dont have to buy 😂 They spend more time looking for bad that they never enjoy the good!

Calm down hero, everything is obtainable within the first couple hours of playing the game. MTX is a non-issue for this game, just like how it was a non-issue in the first game
Because it's just like every other Capcom game released in the past 6 or 7 years. The MTX are totally ignorable and everything is found in game. Why aren't you calling out the shady RUclipsrs and shitty games media sites who totally misreported all the details just to hate farm clicks and views? Gaming disinformation is way outta hand these days.
1. The micro transactions items you can literally get in the game within the first couple of hours it’s their for people who want them straight away 2. FPS isn’t that bad and only on consol just get a pic it’s 120
Eh, frame rates are fine for me. Micro transactions have nothing useful, but of course if you play the game at all, you would already know that. Your loss
I've almost beat the game and literally have not even found where to do the micro transactions. Also if you have friends on your friends list with high level pawns you get to hire them for free. Had my brothers pawn hired for free even though he was 25 levels higher than I wass
As a former Destiny 2 player people freak out over seeing microtransactions more than playing the actual game. Destiny 2 is 100% pay to win (or on PS pay to play online) and the Steam page does a great job at scaring away new players. As you know, Steam puts together all DLC into a little bundle and gives the price of all DLCs added together. For Destiny 2, this adds up to over £100, maybe over £200. However this is a lie because some of them are in game cosmetic currency, as well as bundles the devs made sk it accounts for each DLC in a bundle as well as the bundle itself. TLDR don't freak out as soon as you see that a game has microtransactions. For Dragon's Dogma 2 they appear tl be one time purchases and don't seem tl have a major impact, and for microtransactions they are fairly cheap.
Why are you promoting a Crap game, is Capcom paying you guys? There are a lot of really honest reviews out there, and while your video isn't a review it promotes what is wrong in the gaming industry.

@@CrappyCar It doesn't have to be a review video bro for me to call out how shitty this game is at lunch. And any RUclipsr worth their salt should be calling out how shitty this game is instead of trying to give gaming tips😑. 1. Listening to RUclipsr's that are paid by Devs to push out propaganda and ignore the obvious problems with A game
2. Mistake, buying this game based on lying 🤥 RUclipsr's paid to lie about how good the game is.
3.Is doing a video on a game you know has performance issues and bullshit micro transactions and acting like yeah that's not the number one mistake🤦🏽.
How are the micro transactions bad lol it’s just items that you can get in the game this is just faster
1 - This isn't a review video, it is a tips for the game video.
2 - I didn't hear anything in this video about how good or bad it is.
3 - The mtx were activated on launch day, reviewers didn't have access to them.
@@CrappyCar It doesn't have to be a review video bro for me to call out how shitty this game is at lunch. And any RUclipsr worth their salt should be calling out how shitty this game is instead of trying to give gaming tips😑.
My overall problem with people like this is there more concern with getting fucking clicks instead of calling out the bullshit games. And this is the reason why we keep getting bullshit like what capcom is doing right now because a motherfuckers like you that wants to defend shit like this.
