assuming one is not able to override the other, this is probably the best we can hope for better to lose 2 hours to the most recent tavern/inn save because your latest auto save is bricked by a bugged soft lock than to lose the entire 100+ hour file to that bug

@@boeserKadser yeah I read it was an inclination or whatever it’s called for the pawn so I’m hoping it’s when you meet them or maybe a book or something. I just worry it’ll be something really hard to find
Spoiler for the Pawn Plague: The plague's end state triggers when you rest at an inn after having a pawn that is ready to progress to the final stage. That pawn (or pawns if more are infected) will kill a ton of NPCs while you sleep. If a hired pawn has the plague, you can just dismiss them. If your main pawn has it, they have to be recruited in another players game. This will pass the plague onto that poor sap, and your pawn will be cured. If you want to be super safe, and you main pawn has the plague, DO NOT REST AT AN INN! Create a non-inn exit save and just give the game a break for a while. This will give your pawn some time to be recruited and pass the plague off.
Without going into detail, for me and my likes, dislikes, expectations, game features and my perferred playstyle, both Dragon's Dogma and Dragon's Dogma 2, have around the same amount of positeves (things that I like), and negatives (things that I don't like), in the game. I did not purchase the first game for those reasons and I will not be purchasing the sequeal either, for the same reasons. As always, game developers have their likes and dislikes, as well as what they make sure is in, or is not in their games. If I were a game developer and spending my money to make a game, I would do the same. Anyway, for those that like this game, enjoy it fully, as I will be enjoying the games I'm currently playing, or are on my list of games releasing later, like Crimson Desert. Over and out!

Its right up there with enforcing some persisten universe or online progress and then taking down the servers for being not profitable enough after a year or less.
It is a survival, action, rpg. Survival being the main thing, if you don't like those types you might not like this. But the combat is so rewarding when yiu find that skill level.

'From what I'm hearing', sounds like you need to expand your sources of information. Or perhaps, stop listening to the negative nancies and actually find out for yourself.
I learned about this game from this video and I saw my neighbor go through the entire Elden ring and I can see the difference. It's nice that they make more and more realistic games, but this has the side effect of spoiling the fun of the game. If you like it, bother with the game, I have better things to do
I used to think like you but I've played some great games recently that are 30 FPS. My eyes get used to it after a short while until I don't even notice. Really depends on how the game is optimized.

i love every choice they decided to make with this, it really immerses you into the game and allows for more different playthroughs with different outcomes and classes. There are actual consequences in this game as well which is grat. Was so sick of hand holding instant fast travel, with map markers and scum saving being possible. Based on what im hearing its a godsend for gaming in a sea of shallow games, a return to roots in a way from the 2000s rpgs.
A PS5 game in 2024 being capped at 30 FPS is ridiculous. Also, the whole "we dont want hou to fast travel because traveling is fun" is an absurd notion. After 20 hours, no one wants to walk to a place they have been 10 times. I dont care how cool your open world is. They are making some really big mistskes with this game, and its sad to see.
Dark arisen fast travel was hard early game, but once you reach the capital you can buy fast travel coins. If they keep that system it just depends on how many ferrystones you get. Then you decide what areas it’s important to fast travel to.
@@Runmethem1sboi They explicitly stated that it's very limited, and it can be interrupted by enemies attacking you. You will spend most of your time walking from location to location.

@ADarklore it's not hitting 40fps on PS5. As soon as you get into a fight with more than one enemy, the game tanks. And the motion blurt can't be adjusted on console so it looks like you are playing underwater. This is the worst gaming experience I've had since the cyberpunk launch. This is the first game I have ever PRE-ORDERED......ever........I feel like I have the worst claustrophobia without being able to start over. Is there any word on when it will be fixed?
Plays fine on console, hardly any issues, no bugs really to speak of. Has played great since launch. A lot of folks having issues are on PC. I’m loving the game, and having a lot of fun. The micro transactions are meaningless, anyone that’s even complaining about those haven’t played the game at all, and are just on the hate bandwagon. If you are on console, I highly recommend trying it for yourself.
For the ppl who didnt play DD1, get ready to have random friend requests sent to u 😂
question for clothing. im big on color matching. is there a dye system?
yes
i see dye to buy for hair, but not for clothing. is this what you meant?

Dragons plague is all bad man
I wish I could find more info about how to teach my pawn the Elvish language. I know it wasn’t something I could choose in the demo character creation. So idk when I can teach him that
Probably in game when you actually meet elves
@@boeserKadser yeah I read it was an inclination or whatever it’s called for the pawn so I’m hoping it’s when you meet them or maybe a book or something. I just worry it’ll be something really hard to find
@@thatgamerguy89 "recruit a Pawn with the Woodland Wordsmith Specialization"
Spoiler for the Pawn Plague:
The plague's end state triggers when you rest at an inn after having a pawn that is ready to progress to the final stage.
I have that exact same shirt haha
I use only one slot in every game
you're more hardcore than me then!
As a vet from the 1st one, i approve of this lol
Isn't the campsite kit an unlimited use item, and you only need one at a time?
As much as i love the pawn system i will never change them specifically to beat a boss i aint never been a bitch
My huge mistake was pre ordering the game and that too the deluxe to make it even worse
1. The Game. Length of time ~1 second. You're Welcome.
You could have just went to play those said games, instead of posting this useless essay.
@@craigtrish2011literally like who asked😂
Who the $&:? would save scum Baldur’s Gate 3! Blasphemy.
Guilty and I had a blast doing it too :)
@@LuckyGhost fair enough, still feels wrong though. The way they made sure failing is just as satisfying as succeeding is one of the games greatest achievements
@scalz311 absolutely but I'm a curious person and often wanted to see both outcomes haha 😄
how huge?
gotta get you a ps5 then
You can still save scum lmao. Just saying. Upload to cloud and turn off autosync. Problem solved lol.
Mistake number 1: Buying the game before optimization updates
Ps5 and series x 30 fps wtf are we going backwards and for handheld pc players don't even hope for dd2 cause it will not run smooth..
18 fps this will be like Wild hearts from from EA over hype the game and when its out will have lots of problems...
biggest mistake: buying this game
30 fps game on all platforms😂
You mean on *consoles
Cry me a river lmao. I'm surprised cause everything in the RE engine so far has performed great on consoles, so it's not an engine issue so they can patch for framerate stability.
mistake #1 buying this game
Tasteless clown alert.
Gotta love devs enforcing single save states and then inevitably making a mess of their game so that random bugs or glitches can totally ruin your game. Its right up there with enforcing some persisten universe or online progress and then taking down the servers for being not profitable enough after a year or less.
So many stupid rp type mechanics! Def not for me
It is a survival, action, rpg. Survival being the main thing, if you don't like those types you might not like this.
But the combat is so rewarding when yiu find that skill level.
From what I'm hearing, this game won't be popular because it's too complicated.
Too many things to remember, and we all want to play for fun, not to pass our master's licenses
It's far less complicated than elden ring, and that was one of the most popular games ever. Sounds like someone was "projecting"
If you like it, bother with the game, I have better things to do
1 ST HUGE MISTAKE!!! dont buy this pos at full price haha wait till its like 20 bucks.. stupid ass pawn system >>
Lemme guess pc? 🤣
I paid for the game so I'm free to make all the mistakes I want.
#1 dont buy the game because they're too goddamn lazy to make it 60fps. 2024 there' still coming out with 30 fps
ok
I used to think like you but I've played some great games recently that are 30 FPS. My eyes get used to it after a short while until I don't even notice. Really depends on how the game is optimized.
So true
Fps means shit to me, as long as the game is good that’s all that matters…
@@Meme_dad1yeah 30 fps and goes down to 20 playing on ps5 d fck Capcom become EA like wild hearts
Man man this is one of the best tips video I have seen about the game. Thank you you have been so helpful and the delivery of the information is so well done. I don’t know if it’s improvised or not but you're talented my friend. thank you so much you have been very helpful.
I mean you can still save scum. You can still make 1 manual save and just reload to that if something goes bad.
Kinda. Depends on if that auto save ruins it. Auto and manual saves take up the same slot.
ah ok I see. I didnt think of that.@@xnadegod1053
Also you CAN recover your listed health with a “all heal elixir”
Journey before destination! I love DD2 🏆💖
Having played DD1 many years ago, it seems like they made things in the game less fun, I dare say a survival game, granted I’m only four hours in but I just have that “fun feeling”
Great to know. Also, Snoopy is always welcome. Cheers!
So they put Pawn Covid in the game. Very cool.
i love every choice they decided to make with this, it really immerses you into the game and allows for more different playthroughs with different outcomes and classes. There are actual consequences in this game as well which is grat. Was so sick of hand holding instant fast travel, with map markers and scum saving being possible. Based on what im hearing its a godsend for gaming in a sea of shallow games, a return to roots in a way from the 2000s rpgs.
I ❤ this feature 🎉
FACT... PS5 is NOT capped at 30FPS, it has unlocked FPS and most PS5 players are reaching over 40 FPS outside of busy towns. Sure it's not 60 FPS, but I'm OK with that.
They clearly didn't do any play testing on this game for console prior to release. There is no way someone would okay this performance.
@@FlashesSoccer011Xbox series x runs just fine, honestly haven’t had any performance issues to speak of. The game has been a ton of fun so far, and there’s a lot of hate around the FPS, from folks that haven’t even tried it. Strange
oh look a new game comes out and me feed is full of videos with "HUGE" "MASSIVE" in their title...
