Welcome to PART 3 of my Alaskan Fishing Adventure! We've embarked on a journey throughout the Southeast during the summer with our friend Captain Eldon! We're living on his fishing boat while we explore hot springs, forests, hidden lakes and freedive spearfish for seafood to eat! I'm so happy to have you along with me while I explore and dive beautiful Alaska!

Spearfishing is the most sustainable and ethical form of fishing. Fish speared while freedive spearfishing using a speargun, polespear or Hawaiian sling are fish, lobsters and other oceanic delicacies that have already reached maturity and have had a chance to breed. When commercial fishing nets are stripping our ocean's fish supply, freedive spearfishing is sustainable fishing that allows for the renewal of fish populations. Spearfishing, while freediving or scuba diving to hunt for seafood, are some of the most dangerous lifestyles. Spearfishing and freediving are more than hobbies, they are a way of life for many.

I really enjoy your beautiful images of nature and your catch, it's like I'm there myself. This must have been a really great experience for you. I'm so glad to hear from you again about your adventure in Alaska, it's really but really very nice that you want to share this beautiful journey with us. once when my friend and I were catching black bass from a 16' Lund, the fish stopped biting. Then a whale surfaced right beside the skiff. within a few feet, it blew its breath out and a big plume of horrible smelling whale breath settled on us in the skiff. I feel sure the whale had a sense of humor and did that on purpose.

Hi Lauren, so happy for you that you got to go to Alaska as I'm often telling people how much fun it is to visit !! Not that I'm a travel agent, but actually I go to Sitka annually to do almost exactly what you did on your trip. Catch Black Bass, Halibut, Salmon, and throw back Yelloweye !! The Ling Cod often go after a Black Bass on your line. Seems like you were there in the Summer so too bad on no Salmon haul in this episode. I've always wondered what a school of Black Bass look like underwater. I always stay deck. You're definitely brave to dive downing 48F water. Looking forward to the next video !!

You can catch a 300 plus pound halibut on a rod..or spear fish one..the biggest halibut I ever saw was only in about 4 foot of water in the month of a stream 7 mile north of Thorne bay. ..she was just eating salmon...I thought it was a 4 by 8 foot sheet of ply wood until it moved..

Looks like a really pretty spot to visit. You are truly a outdoors girl. Love that . Beautiful scenery as well as beautiful girl. To bad you didn't get to do a little deer hunting while you were there. Would of loved to see how you cooked it. Great job on the video. Doesn't always have to be rich and glamorous to have a good time.

Hey Lauren! Happy thanksgiving! Hope all is well! Haven’t been able to watch your videos in awhile. Have to catch up lol. Alaska looked incredible! Those hot springs were pretty and the waterfall. Were those fish putting up a good fight?
