Great eyes for spotting that Octopus, I'm a big cephalopod fan, eating wise, and that looked amazing!! A lot more labour intensive than Squid or Cuttlefish but such a wonderful eating creature! Lauren thank you for sharing your wonderful experience. Your fight with the octopus was beautiful. A little tip in Greece they hit the octopus gently against the rocks at first, but for lack of rocks you can do it like Angel did. The octopus...you know, the place where i come from in Greece is very close to the sea (living somewhere else now though). We have our small fish market with all the extras. Octopus - we hit them on the rocks to make the meat soft and this takes quite some time if you want to have a good result. But there is a joke as well. When somebody asks "why do you hit the octopus on the rock" we reply "because we want him to tell us where the rest of them are hiding" :-) But once finished its delicious. 😘

Stunning scenery! Do you have to make adjustments to your shots with the spear gun in that current ? or are you close enough it's not an issue? If the weather is hot and the water warm why do you wear wet suits? Happy hunting!
The current wasn't bad that day so no need to adjust any shots. The water was cold, but even when the water is warm it's best to wear a wetsuit bc of the sun, jellyfish, fire coral, scrapes, fish bites (yes, they BITE), and the thermocline.
That’s amazing what you do. Don’t have no idea how you hold your breath so Long under water. Then just get a see you and that body you take so good care of. Holy moly you are so so sweet and Beautiful. Can’t wait until the next video. Love you sweetheart keep up the great work and videos.

I've seen everyone biting the octopus behind the eyes, effecting their nervous system to stop their movement . Seems effective and they apparently turn white if you bite it correctly . Safer is they idea or at least less trouble from those crazy suckers.

Loved the Octopus wrestling. Do the smaller Octopi(?) have sharp teeth that could potentially do some real damage if you don't hold them correctly?
