Spearfishing is the most sustainable and ethical form of fishing. Fish speared while freedive spearfishing using a speargun, polespear or Hawaiian sling are fish, lobsters and other oceanic delicacies that have already reached maturity and have had a chance to breed. When commercial fishing nets are stripping our ocean's fish supply, freedive spearfishing is sustainable fishing that allows for the renewal of fish populations. Spearfishing, while freediving or scuba diving to hunt for seafood, are some of the most dangerous lifestyles. Spearfishing and freediving are more than hobbies, they are a way of life for many.

So much different catching/fighting the tuna using a rod & reel…what a workout! Probably better for and easier on your lungs for sure. I’m glad you were able to at least see some tuna when you were diving but the respiratory infection was just too much, 90 feet, I don’t know how you do it! Thanks for sharing and taking me along on this tuna expedition 🤗 Oh, early congratulations as you close in on 100K 🎉
Yes, it was very different! What a fun experience! It was nice to give my lungs a break from diving. I was getting exhausted from being so sick. Thank so much for the congratulations! Hopefully RUclips will remove the glass ceiling they've placed on my channel and I'll finally push through!

Awesome, take care of that illness and keep on diving, always love your videos. If I can suggest for those low light shots, use the Ace Pro action camera for those shots, it'll be 10x better footage or even with the DJI A4 with the larger sensor ;) p.s. is that an MK2i you're wearing on your wrist?
Thank you! Actually, I bought a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 after reviewing this footage and seeing how awful the GoPro and my phone performed in low light and so far it's been working really well! Yes, that's the Garmin MK2i :)
@@LaurenSarasua the Osmo 3 doesn't have the larger sensor like the Osmo 4 for low light shooting. Ace Pro performance Best on low light especially at night, it's really impressive and with your use, allot of those night recordimgs would look stunning with the right camera.

Lauren I really appreciate you describing debth and perimeters of your skin diving I dove in navy & used to spear fish in Micronesia also my lab partner was one of the 2 guys who developed Mark 5 dive system although he never bragged about it when I was in Houston I was buddy's with a SAS he had manual & I saw my buddy's photo along with the senior master chief who developed the mark 5 dive system with him. I indeed was very impressed as it one thing for Bruce to mention he had worked to develope a scuba diving system that even Jacques Cousteau used but to see his picture in the front of a manual I had heard about for years. So to me details develope a plan set goals even give me ideas I too need to work on underwater time expand my lungs and dive deep when I breathed in navy I'd fill up BC buoyancy compensators and I noticed I'd fill them 2 1/2 times faster seemingly having much larger lung capacity & I free dive much deeper than others it looked like they'd hit a wall and I turn around and wave diving twice as deep. You excell my deepest dives no worries there but give me pause hmmm better fins and more diving I could go get the big ones. See details matter, the outer islands of Papua New Guinea here I come. I'm interested in breath techniques and training you have done to get where you are it's a gift from God and a skill "I'm impressed Lauren.

Noooo😶 lol There are certain situations where you should have your speargun loaded before entering the water or you're just wasting a spearfishing trip, tuna hunting is always in that category.
