Joe has the most underrated fishing youtube channel i’ve ever seen, every video has big fish, not 8 minutes and is always consistent.Dope asf dude
No offense but it’s the same as every other one haha not saying it’s bad buts the same as all the rest
I Appreciate that, just trying to fake it until I make it
Nice one Joe!!! You know it's going to be a rather sensational video when right on the tin it says, "500lbs of Tuna in 12 hours" and the fishing once again just does not disappoint!!! It's a shame your Best Friend sabotaged your win, Joe, but hey, that's what good buddies do for each other! I thought the Marlin slash on that Yellowfin was really cool, just shows you how savage a place the sea really is. Pretty darn amazing, and the kicker was it had healed over and the fish had seemingly no detrimental damage going forward,....until it met your bait, that is. I have to say as an Albertan (which is kinda like being Canada's Texan) your Miss Jamie serves up a mighty fine looking slab of beef, Joe!!! Just for that alone I think she's more than earned an extra hug and a few smooches, maybe a nice house on one of the lovely South Pacific Isles with a Porsche in the driveway but, you know, you do you! As the late, great Stampede Wrestling announcer Ed Whalen used to say (and I'm paraphrasing) " In the meantime, and in between time, that's it, another edition of Joe VT Fishing!!" Take care guys! - Dave.
That’s an EPIC bite in a perfect weather window!
Yes sir it was!
Great video Joe. And an amazing cook session. Great seeing y'all cut loose. Wish I could make it out and fish with y'all.. maybe someday. Thanks again for taking us along.
Thanks for watching as always kelly!
Great one!!!! Also great to see Jamie-you should definitely show more of her 😊
Thank you! Will do!
Glad to see you finally getting the traction you deserve on RUclips.
I appreciate that! hopefully i can keep the ball rolling
Nice Sunday video to watch
Oh yea Joe VT back at it! Let’s get it dude!
Wooohooo!!!!
I get so pumped when i see a JOE VT show pop up
🙌🙌🙌
I just stumbled upon you tonight. Late to the game but glad I came! I'm a lifelong fisherwoman, born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale so those waters and the Keys are where I did most of my fishing until I moved to JAX (Yup!) in '06. This was GREAT and I look forward to more of your videos.I'll catch up on what I've missed on your channel! Best of everything and may you have success beyond your wildest expectations! Tight lines and catch 'em up!!! 😃👍
Welcome aboard! thanks for subscribing!
LOVE VIDEO! JAMIE IS SO FUNNY!
Yes she is!
Great video joe! Some wicked tuna caught. Sweet! Love the cook.
Thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks for watching as always!!!
That marlin wound was wild! I think you’re right that looks like a lower jaw with bill swipes on top.
Yes it was!!
Awesome video and shout out to Captain George. Ain’t no port like Mayport 💪🏻💪🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
Damn right!!!!!
Joe, I fished with you and Alex on June the 6th.The tuna throats you cut for me turned out great. Two hours on the smoker made for fantastic finger food.If you recall we limited out in 50 minutes.
That’s awesome!!!! I definitely remember cutting those out for you. Glad they turned out good!!!
Great fishing, great customers and a great dinner.
All I have to look forward to for my dinner is A cold hot dog.
Piece, love and best wishes to you and Jamie.
Same to you!
Awesome video and heck of a catch! I have gotten to fish with you several times when you were on the Mayport Princess then the Majesty. It definitely gets hectic on the deck of those
Yes it does!!! I went back and fished on the majesty during snapper season, it was good to be back on the party boat. Thank you for the support!
Very good video Joe, you guy’s destroyed those tuna, am wondering if there are any left out there 😂. Nice to see you are eating better with Jamie’s help - I mean with the salad added to the meal 👍
Haha she’s way healthier than me! Glad I have someone to keep me accountable from being a fat a$$ all the time 😂
You and your wife make me laugh. First time viewer and I subscribed.
thank you for the sub!!
27:36 that steak looks like it was cooked to perfection. My belly is jelly.
Yes it was!!!!! It was amazing
I'm about 175 miles out and the tuna have been crazy out here for over a week now. All about the same size as those. Mahi are everywhere as well.
you on a rig or a drill ship?? please hit me up on instagram, facebook, or shoot me an email joevonthron@gmail.com
What rig you on
@@daltonjohnson3289 Atlas
Congratulations on the catch 😊
Thank you 🙌🙌
YEEEEEEAAAAAAH MORE JOETV
Captain George.!❤️🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
The best to ever do it!!
Do you typically use 40lb leaders for Yellowfin, or only when you know they will be 30 to 50 lb average and NOT 80 to 100 pounders?
I have come to eagerly anticipate your videos. I know you work hard but wish there were more and more often.
More to come!
Love me some Joe vt or joey vt as sone would say 😂🍻
yes sir!
So many fish in the ocean deepwater i like fishing
Good fishing,loved the cooking.
I did this kind of fishing down in Venice. Before we had set up a huge marlin jumped clean out of the water, this fish was HUGE. I wanted to go after it, those tuna I don't like they don't have fat. But at this size this fish deserved to live, couldn't judge weight maybe 800 lb, no lie.
What your doing is beautiful brother plus your got your back and looks like she's a wonder chef as well
Just discovered the channel. Love it.
Welcome aboard!
What rig were y'all at in 8k foot of water? Pioneer? I didn't know LA had any party boats that went out that far.
We ran out to Thunderhorse in Feb in a 37 freeman, our fuel bill was $1300ish, I bet y'alls bill was ever bit of $2k.
Go to a small oriental grocery store. They will probably have the good Sriracha with the chicken on it. Or get the sweeter Thai kind with a shark on the bottle
wow joe u nailed em brotha unbelievable fishing wish u could take me out on charter one day id make trip down to slay sum fish amazing footage thanks for keeping me occupied
Thanks for watching!
The way to a man's heart is threw his stomach.
couple questions why throw extra live baits? they stand no chance out there and the tuna go crazy and eat the baits with hooks too?
never seen the teeth on a yellow fin like that can they chew threw leaders or not really?
They throw out extra "free" baits to keep the tuna excited and near the boat, then they gun the engines to flush the freebies out and away from the boat, otherwise the baits will use the boat as refuge.
Shawn explained it well. Yes they will chafe you off after some time but aren’t sharp enough to chomp straight through it like a wahoo
@@joevtfishing I used to work on charter boats and private sportfishers in the Pensacola area and spent a lot of time in Venice. Enjoy your channel and the content you put out. Tight lines and screaming drags!
That was a slaughter! Yall killed it & that was a cool little competition you threw in. Are you back in florida or still fishing it up in Louisiana?
back in lousiana!
Party boat. That’s not same kind of party boat that I’m thinking of . Lol my wife can’t do the things she likes to do on a boat on that particular party boat lol 😎.
Sure nice seeing you and love the tuna videos just wish I had the stamina to try it 😋
You can do it! Passing off the rod is pretty much mandatory for a fish over 40 pounds
Sup Joe! What are the name of those rods you were using? Specifically the one where you thought the fish dropped the bait.
okuma DTRs
Cool eating fish
You are at the top of my list for a mate.
nice fish dude! nice frickin fish
Thank you!!
Brother you 2 Are like so Great together
I agree!
Dam Joe you staying in Fort Myers off Brantley. I've seen those carriage houses before.
I saw that knife sink down in the ice, and was wondering who ended up with stitches.
Excellent video / what you use to making video --------Mobile phone? which one or camera which one?
go pros and my iphone
Nice haul.!!
Great video! Very good gaff work, you should do that for a living!
Maybe one day! Haha
what a nice spot
What rod and reel do you use for live bait for YF where you fish?
okuma makaira 16 on an okuma DTR rod
Marlin bit him that’s upper and lower jaw!
Lol I seen the cucumba videos 😂
Its a classic haha
@@joevtfishing for sure, he gots other cool videos lol, good job on ur gf, wife her up don’t be like blue Gabe
Joe did you ever recover the gorgeous knife that slipped into the slush at 15:01 ?! As you pushed that yellow in I saw bad things happening😂
Haha had to do a nice dive into the slush for it…. Nice and sketchy! I did find it though
Joe, have always enjoyed your videos throughout the years. Had a great trip a couple years ago with capt Chad with voodoo. Do you have a site for bookings?
Shoot me an email! I’ll get you booked: joevonthron@gmail.com
Beautiful sharing 👍🏻 great video 👍🏻 New friend 🤝
Thanks and welcome
when you go out that far Joe, do you have two captains on board? Also another great video.
Yes we have to have two licensed captains
Just found your channel, love the footage. Any idea what okuma drt rod would work for my mak 30? I use it out of my yak for sharks
Thank you for stopping by!! I would use the 50-150 or 80-200
I have to hand it to, you, "Outright amazing content!" I look forward to your videos.
You're the best!
Yup unhooking bottom fish you do get good at one thing....getting spiked!
Not if you know how to grab um!
@@joevtfishing Yup then you learn real fast where not to touch or gab them.
That had to be a big fish to try and eat that tuna!
You aren’t joking about that! Those fish are snack size to 500-600 marlin
Glad yall killed em. Fun watching that day
Thank you for watching!!
Knife went deep in the Ice box. Lol
Oh yes had a nice sketch dive for it after that set. Not ideal lol
what's the reel you are using?
okuma makaira 16ii's. awesome reels
@@joevtfishing amazing and powerful reel from Okuma. Spare me some hehehe
You need to exercise your chopsticks usages more it makes food taste better when eating with chopsticks!
Anyway I love watching your videos
Xwhats the number of the oil rig.
How to Catch BIG Yellow tail: Cut the backfin off your bait just enough he cant use it ,dont hurt him , crush and cut 3 bait fish cut fins off 2 livees. Drop all in at once including your bait , drive away like you do, finger your line 2x after 50 ft away . dont put yur rod down!.. Kaboom, good luck getting this one in. I have personally caught several(more than 10) over 50 lbs each this way, then Enjoy some belly meat on the way home.. such a expensive treat...
I talked to the foremost expert on fake auction prices for tuna and he said those were good looking tuna. Lots of fat in the minors. Best he could do this late in the market though was 89 cents a pound.
This video has more commercial breaks than network TV.
I don’t get to choose those…..
Yall going to send whole venice charter fleet to Marco polo and shenzi now......lol
a lot of people arent willing to make that 3 hour hike!
I wish smell vision was a thing 😅😅
Maybe one day 😂
Can's find it because of a Pepper shortage in Mexico
You can fish bro!! Much Respect. Longhorn steakhouse endorsement ......stick to tuna fishing bro!!
ikijime the fish
That is how you cook that steak its to be seared on the outside pink in the middle
Smart kicking the boat in gear while chumming. People don’t understand why the fish blow up off the stern when they are leaving.
Tankyou❤❤❤🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰 sir 🇵🇰
So I just started the video, before I go any further... Sign me up please for a trip like this. Please!! 👍
Shoot me an email!!
muito bom
Make more videos Joe VT
Got more on the way!
I can't wait man love your videos
You ever in Tennessee in the winter time holler at me and we'll go catch a coyote
The clients can’t hook up on them?
They did multiple times during this trip. If they want to they are fully welcome to. If you watched more than a couple minutes of the video you would have been able to see that mentioned
@@joevtfishing I was just wondering. I’ve never been on a tuna charter before. I thought it may have been a safety issue.
I think your lady's pretty damn cool 😎 hugsss to you both ❤️
She’s great!
Let the "Cha" sit out and get sweaty and the label starts to melt. Gets sticky all over your hands and table.
What block were you guys fishing. Im in Walker Ridge working for chevron in almost 8k feet of water
Doesn't get much better.... Slammed em'
Yes sir
Id a let that injured tuna go. He survived that attack AND, that meet around the wounds (I would've been weary of).
Longhorn steakhouse is way better than outback steakhouse any day
I agree. Can’t go wrong with longhorns
¾ of this video was watching Joe get his butt kicked by some chopsticks. If only he coukd learn to edit that stuff.
Just kidding Joe,
8000 feet?!!! Did you mean 800 feet?
Nope, that rig is floating and uses satellite positioning thrusters. Pretty amazing engineering
It ain’t rooster sauce!
Why in the world do you have four outboard engines? It makes absolutely no sense
Now people are going to be thinking they can use yellowfin as marlin bait. Next, someone is going to make a 25 pound yellowfin lure made of tupelo, lead, and about 2 pounds of UV epoxy. Sell it for 600.00 and use this video as proof that marlin, will eat giant yellowfin. Good job Joe, you just spawned a useless lure market. Lol
Joe, how much do you cringe when clients are high sticking the rods? Nice work though!
Not as much as I used to. Everyone in Venice makes the clients pay for tackle they break and if they refuse to follow instructions like high sticking. Luckily haven’t had to replace one yet
@joevtfishing glad you haven't had to replace any rods. Love the content, keep it coming.
I will give you $50 for the plate 😂
It was amazing!!
no fun in that, fish as a man not a newbie, I know there is money in this, but damn.
Hurts me .
Trying to figure out how anybody is a loser on a boat pulling 60 to 80lb tuna back to back..
i came in second, and second is just the first loser! ill get him back this weekend though!!! im determined
@@joevtfishing, I'm withya on 2nd being the 1st loser.. Was the competition who hooked the most fish with their bait presentation.. Thanks
the contest was most hooked fish landed wins@@richardtharp1608
@joevtfishing , Thank you Sir..
St subbed ...lmk if ya want to fish in SW FL.
Thanks for the sub!!!
What a talent you have for tuna snatchin ‘! And you make it so easy and enjoyable for your clients !
Thank you so much!

Just kidding Joe,
