Instead of a full on TV show, they should make a limited mini series on Aegon's Conquest. It doesn't have enough to make it into a multi-season show, so it would be best to be used in a mini-series.
My main gripe with Aegon was his treatment of Visyena. She did a lot in terms of the conquest and establishment of the realm. Maybe if Aegon loved her as he did Rhaenys Maegor & Aenys could’ve gotten along better.
It’s a sad truth, but you can’t force yourself to love someone if you don’t. And even though it was clear Aegon didn’t really love Visenya, perhaps had he been kinder to her, or at least made more of an acknowledgment of her accomplishments and efforts, things would have been different.
Aegon didn't abuse her . He loved her as his sister and just couldn't develop romantic feelings for her. They both knew that they married for obligations and him remaining faithful to his one true love doesn't really paint him as a bad person. .
People keep saying they want an Aegon the Conqueror show but if the rumors a few months ago are to be believed, they were planning one but canceled it when the powers that be of HBO saw a summary of it and were outraged when it appeared that Aegon was going to be portrayed as a bumbling, drunken idiot and the sisters would be the competent ones (of course) who were secretly ruling. You know, what they’re currently doing to Daemon in HotD.
I feel really sorry for the writer that in a possible conquest series it will be necessary to create some actual personality for him, so that later part of the fanbase will say that "it is not faithful to the book" (aka literal shallow fake medieval chronicles in the world of ice and fire and fire and blood)
Ive always wondered what would have happened and the relationship dynamics if Orys had claimed The cannibal. Would have Aegon left one of his sisters for him. If so who. Id like to think Visenya and then made a pact to betroth their offspring. All in all it's quite an intriguing thought.
Let governance to his sisters i don't think so they likely helped him rule better and wiser but don't think he didn't do his administrative duties he integrated the seven/six kingdoms during his rule
I think if they ever do a show about Aegon, they need to look to Aragorn for inspiration. "Faithful to his sisters"
Understandable tbh
If they ever made a series/movie about his conquest, I would not be surprised if he was actually incredibly PASSIVE. And it was his sisters pushing him to get shit done. Rhaenys provided the carrot, Visenya the stick. I just get the impression of big sister Visenya being a real drill sergeant. Bossing everyone around since they were kids. He very obviously avoided her, towards the end of his life.
In other words, he is THE man
Bro where do you get those photo in background , plz reply
Hope they would cast Alexander Skarsgård as Aegon the conqueror! Suits him. 😍
If they ever make the series they should cast "TRAVIS fimmel" (ragnar from vikings) as Aegon
House Baratheon: Began with a bastard and ended with a bastard as the sole survivor
“A great warrior…who only rode on his dragon”
Fire and Blood gaslighting everyone
And yet the realm has a problem following a Queen
Yeah u got a prob with that i'll willing to talk about it
There's never been another queen like Visenya, Rhaenys (Aegon's Sister) or Alysanne.
@@Papaty25who’s allysane
@@Yazzieeee King Jahaerys I Targaryen's sister-wife.
@@Papaty25are you kidding after allysane there are plenty of other great queens. Only difference is that they have no dragons so their contribution are different. Jaehaerys mother is also a good queen. She held her own against maegor when her children were still little. That takes guts
Love how Targaryen had a dynasty for over 280 years and had like 3 good kings
Purple gotta be the best eye color
Instead of a full on TV show, they should make a limited mini series on Aegon's Conquest. It doesn't have enough to make it into a multi-season show, so it would be best to be used in a mini-series.
Is it me or should there be a show based on Aegon
I can't wait for HBO max to release this. They been working on it since 2022.
That’s how important for Targaryens do not have any other counselors except their own family. Otherwise someone always tries to overthrown them
My main gripe with Aegon was his treatment of Visyena.
They both knew that they married for obligations and him remaining faithful to his one true love doesn't really paint him as a bad person.
.
Rode that big ass dragon to go to the corner store for some B&Ms and a Gatorade
After House of the Dragon, we could do with a Aegon's Conquest Show. With Henry Cavill as Aegon.
I want to see his atory next lol
People keep saying they want an Aegon the Conqueror show but if the rumors a few months ago are to be believed, they were planning one but canceled it when the powers that be of HBO saw a summary of it and were outraged when it appeared that Aegon was going to be portrayed as a bumbling, drunken idiot and the sisters would be the competent ones (of course) who were secretly ruling. You know, what they’re currently doing to Daemon in HotD.
I want a serious from the begining of Valeria and to the end of Aegon the conquere's reign 😭,please god please❤😭
Henry Cavill would be a perfect casting
Oh, he never rode Balerion into tourney´s? What a kind and fair soul.
leaving the Rubies off the crown on HOTD was so fucked
Can you do the ibbenese next 😊
Historians will say they were only “friends” and “half brothers” smh 🤦♂️
And not a century later Daemon would be haunted by the same castle his predecessor burned.
I feel really sorry for the writer that in a possible conquest series it will be necessary to create some actual personality for him, so that later part of the fanbase will say that "it is not faithful to the book" (aka literal shallow fake medieval chronicles in the world of ice and fire and fire and blood)
whats the background music called ?
Henry Cavil as Aegon in a prequel series like “Dance of the Dragons” would be tremendous.
He’s just like me fr
lol 😂
It's cool to compare Aegon I to Jon Snow. The first and last Targaryens who are different from one another.
Ive always wondered what would have happened and the relationship dynamics if Orys had claimed The cannibal.
Would have Aegon left one of his sisters for him.
If so who.
Id like to think Visenya and then made a pact to betroth their offspring.
All in all it's quite an intriguing thought.
he kind of gives eric dane vibes here
Once House of the Dragon Raps up. WE THE PEOPLE WANT Aegon Story‼️
Like Daemon in some aspects.
Basically hennry cavil
Just 7 episode of Aegon's story would be perfect.
Henry cavil as Aegon would go harddd
Let governance to his sisters i don't think so they likely helped him rule better and wiser but don't think he didn't do his administrative duties he integrated the seven/six kingdoms during his rule
The descendants of his only friend and brother would put an end to his family reign.
Well yes. I mean, thats freaking traumatizing.
Crazy how Rhaegar and Robert Baratheon are distantly related
I think if they ever do a show about Aegon, they need to look to Aragorn for inspiration. They have an opportunity to do what LOTR never did by showing someone who is in essence everything a man and king should be, and using that to illustrate the progressive failings of his descendants, and their gradual degradation and failure to uphold the legacy he built for them.
I want a movies series of this … pushing about 3 hrs for each… I am so invested in this story 🔥 the beginning has to be epic
Why series hasn’t been done on this I have no idea
Henry Cavill as Aegon the First would be neat
