WOW, I'm working on my first project and after 12 attempts of getting a workable mesh I'm close. I saw a ok model that needs a lot of work. With your lesson I'm going to see if I have finally succeeded. 👍plus want to see more of your videos. Excellent lesson! Thanks for taking the time to make it!
"Especially my 500 subscribers..." You've come a long way since this video came out and I can see why! Congratulations! Really great stuff. Subscribed!
I haven't caught up with the rest of your video's but keep them coming! Understand it's time consuming making these videos, but ,you have a very GOOD instructional skill set I haven't seen in a long time. Have a great day mate.
Thanks for the awesome tutorial! I was just planning to start using photogrammetry to add background objects and details to my scenes, so this is great timing! I’m slightly worried that in the time it’ll take my laptop to reconstruct a mesh I would already be able to make one by hand but it’s worth a shot.
Really helpful tutorial. Thank you! I have tried doing photogrammetry before and the set of photos I got with my smartphone didn't work very well. Having a super average laptop also doesn't help :)
Great turorial! Can the color of the texture be changed in Blender? And what do you need to do to have the Mirecat as a new 3D Object with the new texture colored, Bake it in Blender?
Thank you so much. it is an amazing tutorial. A question though, my Blender keeps crashing when it comes to Quadri flow Ramesh. I was very happy till I got here. Any tips please?
Hi, thanks for this video, it helps a lot! I have a problem, after re-importing my optimized mesh from meshroom to blender everything looks fine but every square in the mesh is re-crossed by some new triangle, every square is crossed by vertices. am i doing something wrong is it normal?
Sounds like Meshroom or Blender has re-triangulated the quad faces when it has been reimported. It’s fine, nothing wrong with triangular faces, in-fact, for use in games and other applications it’s probably better to have triangular faces.
Do you know if it is possible to use Mushroom on a bunch of digital pictures... pictures without shadows or backgrounds? I have 60 images of a 3d rendering from every angle and I would like to convert it back into a 3d rendering. Thanks
I want to use this program to get camera angles from pictures of cars so that I can model them in blender, how do I do that? I just want the camera positions themselves
@@MicroSingularity so I could set up a turn table withe an adjustable camera mount and just record a set of clips for a more accurate scan? Good to know
Great Tutorial! thanks!
Thank you 😀
I am so grateful for this, I thought I had no chances to understand my issues with Meshroom

Thanks 😀
The exporting mesh back to Meshroom for baking part was stellar, I was going mad trying to bake in Blender
Also the ''0'' sides when filling bottom mesh is brand new for me, spectacular tutorial!
Thank you!
this tutorial leads me to my first print of my first 3d model, thanks a lot!
That’s great!
Great tutorial. You explain each step, what keys to press or menus to click. I learned some new things about Blender as well!
OMG!!!!!! This was the very EXACT tutorial I was looking for! searching for a week mate! Finally! THANK YOU
Glad it helped!
Thank you. Looking forward to part 2
Very nice tutorial. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
fantastic intro to meshroom and it taught me a bunch of new features in blender too!
Thanks! I’ll be releasing a full photogrammetry tutorial series early next year
Excellent Excellent Excellent
Thanks
Brilliant tutorial with a wealth of tips smoothly presented. Thanks!
Thank you 😀
Very nice! Thanks.
Thank you for the cool and helpful tutorial.
Thanks for sharing, nice intro to the workflow. :)

Thank you very much. That’s very kind of you to say.
Great tutorial ! I will try !
Great tutorial, really a clear one! Thanks!

Looks really promising for me to try. I've not done well with other software :). A question if I may; is the camera type important?
It is somewhat Important. If you want to make really high quality models, a dslr is going to help. But smartphones work fine
@@MicroSingularity Thank you
When exporting your obj before texturing, be sure to turn on triangulate, and turn off export normals.
thank you ... my scan has a lot of holes in it . how do i fix tht ?
Awesome video. Do you have a patreon?
Thanks! Unfortunately not.
Cool technique. But could you not also bake the normal map from the high poly while working with the high poly version inside blender?
Why am I getting a stop error on "structure from motion"?
I pressed viewport shading but the texture was not applied. However it shows up in Texture paint tab. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!!
Is it possible to 3D print after reimporting it to Blender?

Can I add Photoshop to the workflow and eliminate background so that's easier to clean the mesh?
Where can I find part 2

I believe that meta data is saved in the data folders produced with meshroom
can a video be used in place of photos?
Yes. There is actually an advantage to using a video. The reconstruction method can be changed to use the sequential data to help reconstruction
@@MicroSingularity so I could set up a turn table withe an adjustable camera mount and just record a set of clips for a more accurate scan? Good to know
Yes. But if you are using a turntable you need the background to be a very plain colour. I use a light box
@@MicroSingularity Il have to experiment with what I have on hand, witch mostly would be old ring binder folders
meshroom 2023 dont work windows 11 :/
Good tutorial except for the unwrapping part. Don't do that
