I used to live right by this beautiful covered bridge. My dream is to go back to Maine and paint all of the covered bridges there. Thank you for this video!!
I live in western NY and my favorite scenes to paint are old barns and covered bridges. These old structures are disappearing and once gone...are gone forever. I try to capture these on paper before they are gone forever so my grand children can see them.
When I saw the reference photo you intended to paint it looked a bit daunting? But,as I expected you ‘smashed’ it! It brought back memories of that excellent film ‘Bridges of Madison County’ which I enjoyed all those years ago! Thanks a million,Paul!
My problem is no longer the painting (I have practiced my watercolour skills for the past 2 years & quite happy with my results) It is my drawing that lets me down - I hate having to draw & yet I used to love drawing … Is it me being lazy ??? Oops edited for a typo !
I. LOVE. WATERCOLOR. WEDNESDAYS! Thanks, Paul. Gonna have to put on my Big Boy pants for this one. Excited to do this. And, by the way, I think you look really good for 35...
Wow! This one is complicated but am going to give it a go. We have a covered bridge just 8 miles from our house in Northern California. It’s the Bridgeport Covered Bridge in the South Yuba River State Park. A multi-year renovation is almost complete. It’s quite unusual as the sides are covered with peek holes down to the river. It’s the longest single-span covered bridge in the world and was built in 1862.
Paul thank you for your kindness, and I was so afraid to write my request to you!👏🙆🙆🙆🙆🙆🙆I am so glad.
I have learned more from Paul Clark in a few videos, than days of watching others. Thanks Paul
Wow! That one is not only beautiful but a lot of fun! You are AMAZING! I admit, about halfway through I thought...how is he going to pull this together...then TADAH! Thank you for so freely sharing your talent.
Wait... Are you wearing a Maine State Flag emblem on you shirt?! Nice!
So…so…so beautiful again & again… forever forever
Thanks Paul . I have come a long way because of your tutorials
Brilliant work,as always! This one has so many stages I may have to pause and rewind a bit to get it all done…:oh,yeah…adding the trees/shrubbery on the right definitely helps the “balance” ( I’m a Libra.. I know about balance!) Thanks again,Paul !!!
Thank you. Beautiful art and a great lesson on mixing colours and perspective. You are my inspiration and i love our weekly meetings.
Wonderful! Staying next to my fragile old cat I'm binge watching my recently found favourite channel, learning and enjoying the pleasant distraction.
Doreen from Massachusetts here-Love your New England Covered Bridge painting! 🙌🏻😍
Yes!!! This looks awesome.
Wonderful!! I just took my 86 yr old mother on a tour of covered bridges. I am looking forward to painting one of the ones we saw.
Can’t believe you did that with just three colours. Amazing! I definitely need to practice more colour mixing. Thanks for another great tutorial 😘
I’m always amazed at how you get small details in with a # 12 brush. Such life in this painting! Beautiful colors everywhere and from just three colors, amazing! 🥰
