When I first looked at the finished painting I felt overwhelmed thinking where/how would you start? Then you use your Paul Clark magic and you break it down step by step and it's not so scary. You're a very good teacher, Paul. You never cease to amaze me. 😁🎨

Hi Paul- I had walked some of the way on the Camino de Santiago in Spain, and did a sketch of a village in the distance from one of my photos. But I had no idea how to really paint it, until I saw this Italian Village tutorial. Well, I followed along, applying your step-by-step teaching to my Spanish town, and I'm really happy to have such a pleasing result from this video and from a great teacher like you! This and your other videos are really making such a positive impact on my life. Thank you!

My 12 yr old grandson and I have just begun to paint together. Since the kids aren't attending class at school, but are doing distance learning at home, we have several afternoons each week that we paint. He's as serious about learning as I am and I do believe he is a better artist. We just recently learned of your videos and think they're wonderful. Love the fresh way you present the material and your style suits both of us. You are a talented artist. We would like to say thank you for sharing and teaching us, all the way from Pendleton, Oregon, Donovan and RoxAnne

I personally like a lot of detail in paintings -- this comes from having a mother and sister who were mad about modern art and I prefer to see what something really is. Abstract art means nothing to me at all. One of the reasons you are such a great instructor is because when you are finished, you have something truly worthy of hanging on a wall. Wish I had your talent!!!

Alvaro C. once said that there are people who paint with watercolors ...and there are people like himself who paint watercolor paintings. I finally understood the distinction between the two styles. He was saying in effect that to paint watercolor paintings you must use water to your advantage and to use its special properties to distinguish in an instant that its a watercolor painting.

This was my first Paul Clark watercolor painting and I loved having an hour time cut-off. I'm very new to watercolor and I learned a few things here for sure. One of which is that all watercolor papers are not created equal! I just opened a new pad of paper and it's really terrible-you get what you pay for! I should have known. I will be going to the store and paying the extra $ for something quality like I should have in the beginning. I look forward to my next tutorial! Thank you so much.
