Swisstool is just the best of all. TY for the video
Cool.
Very good review.
Nice video.
I never leave home without my Victorinox Swiss Tool X Plus Ratchet multitool, and my Victorinox Huntsman pocket knife.

Good review! The metal file also includes a metal saw, which is most useful...like the way you keep the pouch in good shape!😊
Thanks, great video 👍
I got the Swiss Tool X
overall it's a nice multi-tool but big
I got mine used, the corkscrew is missing
going to get a replacement...
yeah... I added bits for bicycling
also glued in some mini-magnets to retain the bits better
I got the non-ratchet version
The clip can be bought seperatly and is very nice. (when it was very hot last summy i carried the swisstool in the waistband of my boxer shorts lol) Upgraded my over 20 years old Swisstool X with it. Last year Victorinox modified a black Swisstool for me, put scissors instead of serrated blade and normal pliers instead of capcrimper in it, great service, unmatched fit and finish, why not more people use it baffles me, i have sold allmost all my Leathermans (Old Supertool only remains because it belonged to my dad). And regarding prices, right now a Surge costs 180 Amazon Germany, no bitkit, just tool with holster....
If carrying locking blades wasn't illegal for EDC in the UK - we can but only with ''valid reason'' for example you need it for work - I would already have bought one. You're right in Europe it doesn't make sense to buy a Leatherman, a Wave costs the same as a Spirit X, that's a no-brainer for me. If you're in Germany you too have limitations I think, you can't carry a locking one handed opening blade.
@@simonh6371 yes, oho blades are not street legal, so the Swisstool is perfect, plus i am a leftie so i cant use one handed blades on multitools anyway
@@simonh6371 I did a modification on my spirit so the blade no longer locks so I can carry it legally
@@nje657 I'm guessing that involves taking the blade out and grinding down the part at the base of it which locks. I've seen another mod done on the Spirit with the ''butter knife'' blade, just by grinding the edge off to make it a spatula. Definitely a good idea as those are the best multitools imo. But at the moment I'm not usually carrying pliers-based multitools, I just carry SAKs or other knives together with a Knipex Cobra XS. I rarely need wire cutters on a day to day basis so they fulfil my needs.
Victorinox knives are pricey but the prices are very competitive compared to other brands.

Hello friend, excellent review! I have the same issue; it came from the factory with a slight looseness in the large 7.5 mm flathead screwdriver and the bottle opener. Is that normal?
I think so. But not sure
I have a question. Some tools on my new Victorinox swisstool x don't firmly lock, they have a little play. It's normal? The spirit MX don't have this problem.
My swisstool x came with the ever-so-slightest play in the file side. While the saw side had none.
From what i've seen & heard. Blade play/wiggle is very rare. For $5 you can send your tool to victorinox with a note explaining the issue & they should fix or replace your tool with one that doesnt have that issue.
I hope that helps
What size bits does it use? 1/4 or 5/16th? I can't find anything online
It uses standard ¼'' bits that can be found at most hardware stores.
@@jspr_edc Thank you!
Please weigh the sheath with everything in it. Do you have a scale for weight?
No i do not. Sorry
@@jspr_edc Ok. Thanks.
do the same after 10 or 20 years.. than it gets interesting..
lol you realise that they still have victorinox pocket knives since the beginning of the 1900’s right?
@@omnipresent417 i think 20 years of use for one knife is enough..😆 do that with any other..
