The Diffuse is IMHO excellent. Its size, feel and functionality make it a serious contender for EDC. I am "over" superflupus tactical features few will need or want, I just want functionality. Being able to run the Diffuse with over-the-counter AAs is a fantastic feature.

I gave a Deluxe Tinker to my daughter (21 years old) for Christmas. My wife thought it was a strange gift for a girl, but my daughter absolutely loves it. Seriously, she is crazy about the thing.

Different tools for different jobs, so neither is better or worse.

Been carrying the Bolder wallet for years and love it. Fits nice and small in the pocket but holds everything I need to grab n go: Leatherman Squirt, Rovyvon flashlight, mini pen, cards, bandaids, and cash. My one complaint is exactly the same as yours. Packed out like it is it's stretched out pretty tight, so I wish it was a tad wider. Just a cm or so would be perfect.

The question is flawed they are both excellent, each is better at its own job, if I could only have one it would be the cobra, it can get more done overall.

I don’t carry traditionals but Jack Wolf has some great looking knives. I know you’ll appreciate it so I’m glad you picked one up. A very nice one at that. Edit: I see this one is a flipper. Maybe I shouldn’t have commented so quickly.

I have nextool mini sailor plier and scissor versions. I did same thing few mounts ago. I switched file with combo tool. And switched small philips drivers. Because one of them has a bottle opener. But than back to original both and start using scissor version. Because most of the time small one, even on the scissor version plier enough for me. Nowadays my keychain tool is victorinox rambler. Because i started carry a mini edc bag and many tools.

1/4" thick??? wow, measure much? if they are 1/8" thick id be suprised. ive never miced mine but i promise you they are no where near 1/4" thick.

I just got one in a package with the spoon multi-tool and lanyard. It's a fine knife for the price. Take a small diamond file to The flipper tab, so it's not a hotspot.

Only thing Swisstool or Spirit have going against them is the abysmal plier cutters. If they had something that actually cleanly cut electrical wire it would have been the ultimate multitool. Someone with a CNC and a lot of time on their hands could have made some replaceable wire cutters. Chinese knockoffs legit cut better. SOG Powerpint cuts better for crying out loud. Just imagine Swisstool in a little smaller package, proper plier head and Free magnet system, but Victorinox tools.
