The way they show that Harold is a pilot in later seasons explains how he was able to valuate the wind speed and direction so accurately. They really did a good job with showing how these two guys were legitimate experts at life in this show. The scene when the doctor gets poisoned with polonium is one of my favorites - Finch says "alpha particle radiation" and Reese repeats it, sounding confused and you're thinking "this guys doesn't know shit", but then immediately goes "it's polonium" and blows your mind. They've been around the block, they know their shit. Such a good show

Jim Caviezel would be awesome as Jack Reacher. I dont believe that they cast that short arse Tom Cruise as Reacher. POI is awesome. Absolute bad ass, awesome music, great lines and awesome chemistry.

The only way that Finch could be that comfortable estimating winds is from his love of bird watching. He doesn't have the spotting experience to be of use as a Spotter.
I suppose you can spot without needing a sniper. Reading the theory and putting it into practice wouldn't require an actual combat scenario. Plus you could probably learn to spot at a target range specialising in long distance weapons.
Finch has a very high IQ, that is not debatable. High-IQ people tend to have a massive number of interests and know a lot of stuff about a lot of stuff. He may well have spent some time looking up the subject and putting it to practice. Remember, he was a very rowdy little Cap'n Crunch in his youth.
the writers of this show obviously never were near a 50 BMG rifle when it was fired or else they would know to have given Reese and Finch hearing protection (sticking your fingers in your ears; I don't think so Mr. Finch.... :-)
I think Caviezel would make a spectacularly awesome Sam Fisher. I can't believe that they chose Tom Hardy; Caviezel even bears a striking resemblance to Fisher, and already had most of Sam's training for POI.

He was the modern american version of The Equalizer's Robert McCall(The 80's Edward Woodward series) I hated that they had that Shaw character basically replace him and he had very little to do later on. Jim C and John Reese deserved much better. POI seasons 1-3 forever, baby!
Once you c this show you will remember batman , the reason in jonathan nolan the creater of it he is the brother of christopher nolan the writer of the dark knight trilogy , both shows has the same kind of action , drama , saddens , dark direction, and every body thought Jim cav will be great as batman , now this made sense for every one, person of interest is the first tv show i watched since 15 yrs.

Reese was like the Incredible Hulk; his appearance didn't change, but there was no question that when the switch was flicked, out came the monster.
