- F1 Manager 2022 puts you in charge of an F1 team of your choice and asks you to lead them to success across multiple seasons of the motorsport. From managing and training the team and it's facilities to designing new parts and planning pit and tyre strategies, the game asks a lot of you as a player - especially if you're a newcomer to the sport. In this beginner's guide for F1 Manager 22, we'll be taking a look at various gameplay mechanics and systems, what they mean, how they translate from the real world, and how you can get ahead of your opponents.

If you haven't seen my previous video yet, I've put together a set of key pointers that should help you get to grips with some of the more potentially confusing and difficult parts of the game. Check it out - ruclips.net/video/4-uHn_RSAjM/видео.html !
This video is the result of many comments in the previous video asking for help on the topic - if there are other questions or topics you'd like to see covered, let me know in the comments!
Maybe im just stupid....but could you talk about ERS at some point? It doesnt seem completely predictable as to when different modes are used and what their results are.
Im playing a williams save, so ERS is the least of my problems, but it does seem like a bit of an opaque setting. I understand GENERALLY what a button will do. But how long does harvest take? Does the dtiver have some free will over when he deploy ERS? How much harvest do you acrue over a given lap?
absolutely hands-down the best video I have seen on this topic period.
Appreciate it, thank you!
That 5/5 on FP3 was a golden nugget. Always thought I could revert back to the highest confidence on Q1, but it never worked. Didn't know why until now
Great video. I had no idea what I needed to do, but this video cleared everything up. Well explained, concise, and to the point. Thanks!!
This video saved my life. Thank you.
realy good explanation my friend, great job 👌
you should do a video explaining the best way to design/manufacture parts
there is a bug/glich in designing parts it's on the reddit page put all primeiry stats to max eg the lost to mid/high downforce from adjusting the low down force is more than negated by bumping the mid/high downforce to max
First five races didn't know then used this really improved into top ten from struggling to get a point even on first go and board cheered up do it
Series please 🙏 kinda dope 🔥
Series... Series... Series! Get Lance that WDC Party!
Great tutorial
Please do a series!!!
I only JUST realised - as you mouse over each set-up option that the bias areas highlight in blue that will be impacted! How did I not notice that before?!
One thing at about 5:50 from what I've gathered at the end of each practice session the 2 most used sets of tyres get returned.
This is correct, I usually do a red or two in FP1, then yellow in FP2 and as I get most of my acclimatise on FP3 I give them a long stint on hards.
Though I adapt between yellows and reds in FP1-2 depending on what I will need for the race.

Irl, you adjust different toe on the front and rear wheels, but I assume in this game it refers to the rear wheels. Increasing toe out on the rear wheels increase the car's stability but causes understeer (meaning you'll need to slow down more to go through a corner). Technically it should also affect top speed, but not as much as the wings.
Aaaaaaaah it's rear wheel toe only omg. I thought it was front wheels, and I was very very confused... Thanks!
hi, i have a doubt, how do i know which compound is gonna be blocked, im losing a set of soft after every practice
@PartyElite Is it wise, under circumstances, to swap engine, ers and gearbox before practise and swap back good stuff back in before qualifying? This way keeping the good parts for the Q and Race. Or is this impacting anything in a bad way?
Absolutely! Never practice with a 100% power train
No, I do the same. IRL it might be tight considering the timeschedule. But in game it's better to use worn parts in all practice sessions.
Great video, thx. For more help check Steam community, you can find a website for setup calculator...or how they say :)
I thought also if u change parts just before quali then the car knowledge and performance points are already locked in so changing gives u no penalty.
I dont get though how you get 90% on the setup i try everything
May I suggest an idea? Don’t use fresh 100% power train parts for practice. Use older engines, Gearboxes and ERS. Save the fresh parts for the race…
How does this directly compare with Motorsport Manager?
I feel like I need a whole class to play this game correctly lol. I'm enjoying it way more than F1 2022
plenty of training with those sliders by playing motorsport manager for years - go me ^^
Bono at Ferrari??😁

U said hard huh huh huh
Well, if it wasn’t a Frontier Dev game, I will recommend it but with Frontier be prepared for massive let down, they don’t give a toss about you! Don’t expect support in the future.
Their lies are now legendary!
I mean, they could do nothing with the game in the future and I'd be happy.
Just treat the sliders as a mini-game, It's a Frontier Developments staple (Many years of Elite Dangerous) Forget what they actually mean, it's completely irrelevant
