    Ferry Fee's have doubles since 2020 - plus they double dip -
    Ferry Fee
    Each person = $168
    Car = $306
    Cabin = $239 - if night sail you have to have a cabin or deck chair they wont let you wonder.
    Total = $713 for 1 person ONE WAY $1426 return
    total scam in cabin there is no coffee facilities or fridge there is 4 bunks small shower with sink toilet and thats all might be a fair fare for tourists but for locals trapped in there state its bullshit prices.

    Hey thanks for the great video. Just for a trip down memory lane ... friends of ours took their 4WD Patrol to Tassie on the ferry. On the way close to Melbourne the vehicle had mechanical issues that caused them to miss their trip ... which was rebooked and further mechanical issues happened in Devonport. The Patrol was only four years old with well under 100000 klms. The whole trip cost thousands with higher costs through rebooking and cancellations. Sadly they were really disappointed.
    Our family took the fly down and rent a car. Package deal with cabins and park passes. Had a great time - we did it twice and loved it. Rent a decent car ... something easy to drive as most of the roads are winding and tiring.

    It’s a heap of money to float over but when you see all the 100k plus vans towed by 100k cars going over how do you argue price?

    Thanks Paul. I’m hoping to take my Toyota Hiace van over in autumn next year. I don’t think I’d do the fly/drive short option. The Bay of Fires looked amazing with your drone footage. Great little summary! ✔️💟

    Happy New Year. I enjoyed your Tassie video but I must say, I was rather surprised that Europcar charges the hirer for roadside assistance. Whenever I have hired, car or motor home, roadside assistance has been part of the deal.

      Happy new year David ! Those details are straight off the internet, it may be slightly incorrect. Generally though, I hope it helps some viewers as a starting point.
