This is awesome. I love it when people have longer speed art videos - it allows for closer to realtime viewing when using the speed controls to slow the video down in the player options. What would be really awesome is if it was captured and uploaded at say 50fps or above - then it would be a much smoother playback in slowmo too but still this works great :) Thanks!
Answer to Hannes Grebin: Peter, what did you do in 0:10 to 0:13 to reduce polygon count? thx for your help! You hit the D-key a couple of times to devide the mesh, in this case a Cube.
gleem fu Thank You! I'm self taught. I have spent many late night hours sculpting and modelling all kinds of stuff. I have also watched a great deal of tutorials during the years. The last two years I have worked with MODO professionally full time at an advertising agency here in Gothenburg, Sweden.
hi guys. I have a question. How can i export my model as obj after sculpting with all deformations? Should i use autoretopology, or is there any possibility any other easy way?
You should probably bake your HiRes sculpting to a Normal Map or Displacement map. In MODO You also have the option to "Freeze" your sculpted mesh. But depending on how large or detailed the model is it could become very large. It was some time since I did some form of baking from a HighRes mesh to a LowRes so I fell a bit rusty. Search the forum at The Foundry. Example of what I mean: ruclips.net/video/txspZB787tE/видео.html
Hey this is going to be newb questions but if you answer it will make my life so much easier. Why does your model start off red? ALSO how were able to go in and out of a smooth shading with such ease?
Hello! The "Red" color is a "Matcap shader". You add it to the shader three. If you have the Content installed You should have a bunch to pick from. It´s like the Red Matcap You see in ZBrush. There´s several of them, chrome, silver, gold and so on. And to go in and out of smooth shading. I think You mean from hard polygons to the Sub Surface shading. In Modo You just hit the Tab key. Thank You for watching my video! Let me know if You want to know anything else.
Thank You The Foundry for this amazing software!
It's a Luxology team))) they merged with The Foundry :D

Thank You! I will keep the 50fps in mind next time :)
Peter Eriksson Thanks dude! Great work anyway - you have earned a subscriber :)
Wow. Nice work!
man this is amazing
now im really investing on modo
your work inspired me
i want to add a 3d app to my arsenal this is like all in one
thank you
Riktigt jädra grymt! Får hoppas på lite tutorials nu då! (nyligen stort Modo fan!)
Awesome!
Is there a stamp tool or something similar to Mudbox or Zbrush detail sculpting ?
Yes there is.

this is awesome! :) btw is there a backface masking feature in modo like in zbrush? also, is there a non-compressed version of this vid?
Mr. Eriksson this is a awesome video for sculpting. Where did you learn Modo or are you self taught? Wanted to gleam that information from you.

I have really enjoyed your videos. Hope to see more and gleem information from you. Best wishes.

Hey, Peter we really could use an tutorial about sculpting in MODO 801...Any chance you make one?
Thx! A tutorial, maybe some day :)
Hi peter, Awesome work!!
Do you notice any increase in performance regards Sculpting in 801?
Thx :) Yes, the Sculpting and many other features like rendering is much faster.
Peter, what did you do in 0:10 to 0:13 to reduce polygon count? thx for your help!
Cool

Thank you so much for your help and response! I got so crazy working with all the new stuff I was making that I totally forgot to reply and thank you!
Muito bom!
did you use a graphics tablet for this?
Zbrush is becoming more and more like MODO not exactly but close.
Where can you down load that at?
What is that thing???
+Creative Station It could be an Astronaut or a fat dude in some latex ;)
Can this be used for a game ?
