I like the tone/atmosphere there going for, it seemed like they we're heavily holding back in the gameplay, they didn't show off any abilities just regular combat & the hud was turned off. I guess when it gets closer to release, they'll show some cooler gameplay, but for now, I'm cautiously optimistic it seems interesting tho.

I want a Soulslike game with destructible enemies like in Doom Eternal. A critical hit to a heavy armored enemy with a greatshield means chopping off the arm that holds the shield but it makes the enemy more aggressive.
The combat feels like it's not finished, but it has a lot of potential, the boss looks fun, the boss looks great too, but mostly I loved the look of the game, the art style is amazing

Also, I immediately noticed the inspirations for this game with what looks like dodge and parry mechanics as seen in Souls games. Already wishlisted this on the PS Store, so keep up the good work!
Its anime-ish but its not if you know what i mean its going to feel clunky you are human man fighting monsters its supposed to feel a little rough but with enough practice you will definitely see and feel smooth combat
I remember taking note of this game when it was revealed at a game show. I didn't expect for its gameplay to be so good. It's not ideal, but it's great. Animations are awesome. And I wasn't suprised to find out that such a manly game wasn't made by a western studio. Thank you, Korean devs.

Lies of P, another fantastic Korean Soulslike garnered a lot of positive attention with a playable demo. I wonder if the idea of that is on the table for The First Berserker, I think it'd be really appreciated by many players.
Savage looking gonna have to add this one to my must have list for next year! LOVE the voice acting of that inner voice, reminds me of the Darkness voice actor but better.
This looks awesome. And the release being next year gives me confidence in some of the issues being resolved. One thing I do want changed is the item cool. If we are gonna be fighting in the snow, the items need a base color to stand out from all the white I love how crunchy all the sounds are, the combat looks simplistic, smooth & very impactful. The speed seems just right. The art style is so damn good. Im definitely leaning towards a pre order the moment it goes live
You really gotta show the UI. In this 15 minutes, I still have no idea what new things this game offers to the already crowded and stale Souls-like genre. But the combat does look satisfying and parries have great effects. I'm just not sure that's enough. Lies of P did innovative things for the genre with the weapon combinations so I do hope this has something new as well
I think they’re waiting. They didn’t use any special moves or anything either, just basic combat. I think the UI will give away other feature they don’t want to reveal yet. Maybe a magic meter or something..
The first thing I noticed was the walking animation: it seems very robotic and doesn't seem to blend well with the environment; it's very rigid and tense. If you were to take everything completely away and just have the walking animation on a constant loop, it's the same rigid movements. One of the things I look for in a video game (especially a free moving game) is attention to detail and while I am aware that this game is still in development, the animations and combat style looks dull. When looking at games such as i.e. Helldivers II, a magazine reload will show that a magazine is dropped and stays on the ground for an X amount of time. Even here, enemies have the same death animations and disappear into a black mist instead of letting the corpses stay where they are to give the game's intentional "berserker" feel, such as a stack of corpses left by the protagonist. Trying to give constructive criticism here but I believe this game still has a long way to go and if the company reads these comments, then there's my constructive criticism.
The way wounds display on the enemies is really great, I wonder if for this type of enemy like the "big foot" if it would be possible to grab him et do hit combos on its head or its back

One HUGE issue I have is how these trash enemies take like 10 hits to kill. Nothing makes a supposedly powerful character feel weaker than dumping an entire combo into a random scrub soldier and that soldier being totally unaffected. This is why the vast majority of "Fodder" enemies in something like Elden ring die in 2-3 hits with most weapons and 1 with the larger ones. When the combat system isn't very deep, having to spend protracted time fighting minor enemies just becomes tedious.
You guys nailed it. One of the biggest issues any modern ARPG/Souls like misses is good hit detection/feedback and quality animations. Not once did I see anything look janky or weird. Enemies look and move very similar to something in a Fromsoft game which is the bare minimum for me to invest in a game like this. And my god the first boss is a wonder. Not only do you get ample opportunities to hit him back but there’s also environmental elements that can even impede him like when he ran into the wall and dizzied himself. There also seems to be some sorta of posture break on enemies and bosses when you parry enough. I didn’t notice any sorta of color coded unblockable move so not sure if that’s gonna be a thing later. This feels like some amalgamation of God of War/Sekiro/Lies of P.

Definitely more interested in the lore of this "blade phantom" thing, seems like it could be cool. Legs and waist could be more fluid on movement, they seem separated from the top half of your body. Looking forward to see more though

My only complaint is about these moments of 9:23 and 12:15 where it's quite obvious it's an opening to hit the Boss left by the devs. It kinda breaks the feeling of "I am facing this big monster" since it doesn't feel like a very natural opening to hit the boss. Other than that, it looks really good.
According to the video, this is another souls like, but with good visuals and crooked animation. All fights are against one, maximum against two opponents. The overall pace of the fight is slow, the enemies have a lot of HP, there is blood, but no dismemberment, the bodies of opponents disappear after death. I would like faster gameplay against a larger number of less durable opponents, more brutal fights with cutting off limbs and non-disappearing bodies of opponents after death.
I can already see improvements, especially the frame rate. Graphics and effects look really good, but I want to see more of the cool stuff from the previous trailers tho
Forgot to say sum animations and interactions look really janky, like they don't hit properly or they transition from one another very unnaturally. The sound/hit effects when landing attacks is also not that great either but is not the end of the world tbh

Yes, the cel shading is on point, so good. Maybe tone down some particle effects. Otherwise just an amazing feeling to it.
