      Ken Bock Hi Ken, you know, this is such a very nice comment. Thank you and take care

    The way you solve the problems the subject presents is a pleasure to watch. Even if not interested in learning Modo, I think anyone interested in learning to model would benefit from watching these videos. And being a Yorkshireman I appreciate your dry sense of humor. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Culture_of_Yorkshire

    Another really nice one, Peter! (I've included a link to your RUclips channel in my new tutorial, "Modeling with MODO, Volume Six".) Your methods are always sound, and I'm sure you've helped a lot of MODO modelers understand how to create "tricky" geometry. Take care.

      After watching modeling tutorials using Maya on PluralSight, it hit me: It's as if someone using Maya decided to fix all the things that were wrong with it and invented Modo as a result--to start with. Modo has plenty of its own strengths now.

    Hey Peter, I really appreciate all of your works. They're all pure gold I believe. I have nothing to do this weekend, so I will sit down and watch all of your videos from scratch. I've learned so many things so far and I will keep learning :D (Not only learning but also changing my perspective to seeing things :)) Btw a quick personal question. How long have you been modeling? Thanks in advance :)

      Hi, thank you for all your comments. I have never done this professionally, I was a marketing specialist for a large computer manufacturer. But i was always fascinated by 3D applications and i think i started modelling when the first PC games (Like Unreal with UNREALED) also released the level editors with which the game had been created. This must have been in the late 80's. Kind regards, Peter

    I'm very jealous of your work! You just jump right in and seem to know what to make right away and how to do it too.
    I wish i could do that too with things.

      Hi, don't be ! Actually i did not want to do this video because i had covered most if not all all of these techniques in earlier videos (maybe not so obvious..) like my revolver drum tutorial @qR9X44hD9b4 and my electromotor tutorial @imaXOYuRlso . All the best, Peter

      Hi Stephen, I have seen these holes, but if you have a look at my "Perfect holes in a bent Surface" tutorial (@L1gfdgWUqaE one of my very first ones), then you will know how to do these holes :-)

    Great, really really great tutorial. Thanks a lot. One thing though I´m having troubles with: If I try to UV-Unwrap with UV Projection -> Atlas (to paint the Launcher in Substance Painter) I´m always getting overlapping polys at the missile holes. Do you guys or you Mr. Stammbach have an advice, how to do this? Thanks and greetings!

    • @stammpe2
      @stammpe2  9 лет назад

      heihooooo Hi, as you might know, i am a real ignorant when it comes to UV or texturing, so i don't think i can help you here. But i think you get overlapping polys just because how i did the seams around the missile holes. Maybe you can try a different approach. Kind reagards, Peter

    • @heihooooo
      @heihooooo 9 лет назад

      Peter Stammbach ^^, ok, thanks. Maybe I just go the longer (but of course cleaner) way of marking seams and unwrap bit by bit.

    Hi Peter. I just want to thank you for all the wonderful videos you've shared here on your channel. I use Cinema 4D in my day-to-day life but the techniques you show are just as useful to me in that software as they are for any modeler using any software. Truly, I have learned to see geometry in a totally different way thanks to you so .... thanks :) If you're feeling up to a challenge perhaps you'd give this a shot some day. Even though I've learned a lot from you I have to admit I wouldn't know where to begin with a model such as this ... i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb2/darthvaderv/IMG_4410_zpsbd7fe852.jpg ... It's not something I need to do or anything but I'd like to see how you would approach a model of this complexity.
