When i watched this video i had never even drawn a line in this software as it looked overwhelming to master, but your video is so easy to follow that you have eased me into this program perfectly thank you so much for your time and effort to making these tutorials available. excellent job thanks, best wishes George👍👍
George, thank you very much for your kind words! I'm very pleased and proud to hear that this tutorial helped you getting started quickly. This was exactly my intention when I was planning and recording the video. Thanks for watching! Have a great and creative week. Best, Ben
@@3DGladiator While I have seen a tutorial that is easier to follow, it is because it was a far simpler design being worked on. What i love about this one is it is easy to follow and covers lots of important elements that are going to transfer to many different projects, where the other one only got you the very basics. Excellent work very well explained, thank you for taking the time to make such a great tutorial.
By far the most informative and understandable video I have watched on Fusion 360. Thank you so much for NOT talking and moving as fast as theaters I have watched. I am just now, at my advanced age, trying to understand CAD. you have helped me realize that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
I've been trying to learn Fusion 360 for like 2 years now and the learning curve seemed to be very steep. Today I started watching this video and I must say this makes a lot more sense than any tutorial I've seen so far. Thank you so much for the super simple explanations. I will finish this and try a design first. Then I might post new comments but so far I like this a lot.
I had gone thru 100's of tutorials last year when I was checking out and learning Fusion 360. I had a pretty good handle on it and then stopped using it for about 9 months and forgot a lot of what I learned. This is by far the best all around video to either begin using the program or refresh yourself in the function of the this powerful program. Excellent job of the content, sound and video quality.
Honestly, this tutorial is crazy good. When I first looked at the coffee pot I thought that it was way too complicate as a first project (since I'm quite familiar with it), but you really broke it down into very digestable pieces! Thank you!
Oh my goodness, thank God i found your tutorial, i am only 7 minutes in but you are the easiest and most comprehensive teacher on this that i found on youtube! thank you for making it easy to understand for absolute dummies at 3D like me :)
Mr. Gladiator. Your knowledge and skill with Fusion 360 is astounding! I purchased my first 3D printer 2 weeks ago with the hope of learning to print items for my model railroad. I am a long-time SketchUp user (20+ years), but I quickly discovered it would not be adequately powerful enough to create the models I needed, at least without some major hoop-jumping. I went searching and found Fusion 360. I am a total beginner, and the learning curve looks like Mt. Everest. Your video has given me hope that one day I might actually be able to accomplish something. I learned many valuable work-flow concepts. Fusion 360 is an amazing program; it seems there are no limits. When I was learning to play guitar I sat in front of my old record player, lifted the needle, sat it back down on the outer edge of the disk as many times as I need untilI learned to play the song. Guess I'll be doing that with your video. Thanks for posting and sharing your knowledge.
I really like this tutorial. It's very quick and thorough. I pause and replay a lot to make sure I understand before moving on. It is quick, but I love that it doesn't waste time between each point. The only suggestion I have is to include chapters in this video to make it easier to stop and come back to a different part at a later time.
Thank you so much for being a true beginner tutorial. I've only watched 5 mins and you've already coved more information that most of the other tutorial i've been finding. There's to many people who teach with the "follow me exactly step by step" is the same thing as learning a program.
I have been using fustion for some time and watched hundreds of "how to: videos, this one blows them all away. Clear concise instructions and showing all the little tools, amazing.
Haven't touched CAD in years, just got Fusion 360 for a simple part I wanted to have made. This video got me on the way to achieving that goal, thank you!! It was really fun, I'm going to make more stuff now.
This was amazing. Easy to understand and kick-started my journey. Just 1 hour into the video and I was already making my own parts and 3d printing them!

Now that I'm nearly finished working through the project for the first time, I can comfortably say you've produced a tutorial with the highest educational density (learning per unit time) I've had the pleasure of following. You've got a new subscriber. One issue I'm running into is associating the constraint icons to their associated objects. Is there a way to list all of the constraints (and other objects) in a sketch and their properties?

Probably this one again first though. Don''t think I have ever stopped, skipped back and rewatched a video so much before. Took me 3 Hours Total :) well worth it though. Thanks for watching and your comment Darren. I know, no time to rest in this one 😅 For a more in-depth explanation I recommend watching the first few videos of my "Saurer RK-7" series where I explain a few concepts in detail. I'm not going to upload any more Fusion stuff in the future though, as I felt in love with everything Crypto related. Just to let you know. Best, Ben

I've been using Fusion 360 on and off for a few years, but really never got into using the "form" tool, This video gave a good explanation on how to use it, so thanks.
Having watched a few Tutorials by other Presenters I have managed to create some simple models, with varying degrees of ease and success, but after watching this one I now feel a lot more confident. You have clarified many of the basic concepts, missing from the other ones. I appreciate how you explain where and why you use specific functions and commands for their relevant context and situations. This has been a huge breakthrough for me, thank you. However, as an Engineer (Toolmaker turned Cabinetmaker), I struggle with your use of centimetres, with the occasional mm thrown in, as I think in either mm or metres, as do all the machines and other people in these Industries. I appreciate that you are attempting to reach a wide audience and that the Fashion Industry folk and Graphic Designers may be more familiar with Centimetres, although if they are going to be using Fusion 360 for CAM purposes, they will most likely be forced to work in mm or inches anyway. Apart from this tiny point, I feel that this is a very well constructed, (no pun intended) Tutorial introducing many of the various functions and how to use them in a 'real life' and relatable context. Well done and keep up the good work.
Thank you very much for your comment and your kind words! The dimension issues is a very valid point and was already criticized by many viewers. It's just plain wrong to build something like this (or basically anything) using centimeters instead of millimeters. Happy New Year. Best, Ben
You real world examples are spot on thank you. Will be following you now and see what all you make easier to understand and learn more about Fusion 360.
@12:10 I discovered it matters which edge you choose. Only two of them will result in the (near) vertical purple line being at the outside edge of the 1st sketch where you want it. Other edges will show the vertical purple line midway inside or at the origin.
Thank you! 100% new to this. I had re-watched this section many times trying to figure it out. **edit** never figured it out and had to abandon the project for a different tutorial.
Nice video; Good instruction, good pace. Suggestion / tip: 27:25 When you 'shell' the 'basket' select BOTH the top and bottom surfaces. This will give you a perfect shell, with holes where you'd expect them. AFTER this shell-command doe the fillet. The same applies to 1:30:50 when you open the inner tube / nozzle.
thank you for explaining the interface and why something is the way it is. Too many of the tutorials are just do X then do Y. As soon as you try to do something yourself its a struggle. Once you understand what is going on and the thinking behind the interface things get a lot easier.
I'd learned just a few basics before watching this video, and now I'm confident I can create what I want with Fusion (if I remember everything). You went a little fast for me, but I'm old. :-} I'd totally buy you a coffee if you ever get to the U.S.
Great to hear! Glad I could help. Thanks for watching. I hope to be able to visit the U.S. soon again. I contact you then to get my coffee...😀 Best, Ben
Thanks man, this is such an excellent starting point that covers a lot of different tools and methods. I've done what you suggested and watched the video right through without touching Fusion myself, so now it's time to get my hands dirty!
Great job on the video. Other 'get started in Fusion 360' videos are kind of dated and the software looks just different enough today to lose me. Yours was really well done. Thanks.
Wow, this software is amazingly powerful. Just bought a 3d Printer CNC machine and realized I have to learn Fusion 360, however, I think it will take some time. your tutorial is a great tool to get me started. Thanks.
This video is awesome! I purchased my first 3D printer. I had an idea and wanted to work on inventing it. But, to work out the design it would be cheaper just to get my own 3D printer. Then came the CAD part. I really wanted to like FreeCAD. I did my ultimate best with FreeCAD. But, if I had continued I would have no hair left. I would have pulled it out. After trying for a week I gave up. From crashing to bugs. To frustrating. I decided on Fusion360. First video to learn Fusion360 was yours. I'm creating lots of small design now. Loving it. Thanks for the awesome training video!
Thanks for watching and your subscription. I just want to point out that I'm not gonna upload any new Fusion videos in the future. It's all crypto from now on. Best, Ben
Markus, I have to say THANK YOU! You are the first one supporting me with a "Super Thanks" on this channel. The first one will always be remembered. Best, Ben
Great tutorial! I kept putting off learning CAD because of the high cost per year, but the free version of Fushion is more than I will ever need. I’m 70 years old I am already learning CAD at a good pace. It’s a learning curve for sure. You must be considered an expert! I’m curious what you do for a living, and why you stopped making videos?
I have to say this has been the most useful tutorial i have found to date, i really learned a lot and have been using fusion for a while now as a hobby! thank you!
Wow! Awesome. It really helped me. I was trying to build something else, but because you chose an object that is not just a simple shape, the video covers everything. Thank you so much.
Jan, don't worry...We are all "dummies" when it comes to stuff like this... Wasn't taught in school, at least not in the USA...Just get a job, make your employer rich...while you stay broke or barely have a life....I have 5 planes, and 2 custom cars I wanna design...I'm here to learn...Cheers 🍻!!!!
Great hands-on video with live modeling illustration.....i have used Fusion 360 for some easy modeling, but your video helps me advance further ;) thank you thank you!
Thank you for this incredible tutorial. This is easily one of the best videos for learning different techniques, tools, and processes within Fusion 360, especially for someone like me with some, but not a ton of experience.
Thanks for watching and your kind words Louie! This was exactly what I had in mind when I was recording it. It's not the super basic beginner tutorial people are used to, because I start modeling right away without explaining all functions first. It is addressed to users who are willing to put in the work. When you follow the tutorial from start to finish, you should get a good feeling for how to address different modeling tasks in Fusion. Thanks again for watching! Have a great and creative week. Best, Ben
A bit hard to catch up but it definitely helped me to grasp onto a lot of the F360 workload! And My entry exam will probably go very well, good lesson!
This tutorial blows my mind. EXCELLENT work! I am so happy you take the few seconds to show stuff like the zoom/pan and rotating. Explain stuff and not only how it happens but WHY it happens. I am going to go get some snacks and then watch this video atleast once fully before opening Fusion again! GREAT work!
Great tutorial, that really helped a lot! Sometimes a little too fast to rebuild it in parallel but with 0.75 speed it was perfect and I managed to follow till the end. Thank you! Coffee bought ☕
This is great to hear! I feel honored that you followed till the end. And thank you very much for the coffee!!! I really appreciate your support. Have fun creating in Fusion. All the best, Ben
I've been using Fusion for a few years to design robotic manipulators and chassis for the FIRST Robotics Competition, so I was a bit concerned when I was assigned a "beginner tutorial" in my engineering class. However, this tutorial still had some very useful things that I hadn't learned yet. (I hadn't even heard of variable fillets before this tutorial!) Great tutorial, and definitely worth watching even if you already have some experience with the program.
Thanks for watching and your comment Brian. The tutorial was recommended in your engineering class? This is cool! I feel honored and I'm glad it was helpful. 🤩 Have a great weekend. Best, Ben
Wow what a great Tutorial. It is challenging and fun. It is equivalent to about 20 of the Fusion360 Tutorials all in one. Sure you will be have to look back a couple (or maybe 30) times and understand the concept but at the end all is clear and one gets a sense of the logic behind the software. Thank you very much.
Really liked this video, a good crash course in learning everything to make a model in one hit! I probably should have taken the advice and watched it through and then watched a second time to follow it step by step, but pausing and catching up in Fusion on the first go did work ok.
Thanks for watching and your subscription. Please keep in mind that I'm not gonna upload new Fusion videos anymore. It's all about Crypto and NFTs from now on. Best, Ben

First I'd like to say thank you for taking the time to do this tutorial. It's been very informative and I've enjoyed the process so far in it being my first use of Fusion 360. I'd also like to see if you could help with a part I've been stuck on for a while now. I wish I could send a video of what I'm doing but I'll try explaining as best as possible. In working on the lid, I made the initial circle the same size as the outer rim of the collection chamber and followed directions to adjust the shape and make the proper trims around the 1:10:00 mark. When I try to extrude the lid, only the part inside of the rim is able to be extruded. It's as if the original circle I made for the lid caused the rim of the chamber to be cut off. Thanks for any insight.

This video gave a good explanation on how to use it, so thanks.
Best, Ben
First time on a Fusion 360. And your video tutorial was a big help for me to start on. Big Thanks.
Glad I could help!
This is one of the most satisfying modelling experiences I've had! Fusion 360 is so cool. Thanks very much for this straightforward tutorial.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching! Best, Ben
You are awesome, man! Thank you for this. Also, 1h 30min sound perfect!
You real world examples are spot on thank you. Will be following you now and see what all you make easier to understand and learn more about Fusion 360.
Thanks for watching! Best, Ben
Way better than the beginner guide from the official Fusion 360 channel, thanks great vid :)
Glad you think so!
Thanks
Thank you very much Petr for your support!! This means a lot to me. Best, Ben
Incredible, you are asome! Thanks for sharing your knowledge! Greatings from Argentina!
My pleasure! Thanks for watching. Best, Ben
only use fusion every 1 to 3 months. constantly come back to this video as I dont remember how to do things that I should. Great video
Easily one of the best Fusion360 tutorials! Nice job!
Glad you think so! Thanks for watching and your kind words Sean.
@@3DGladiator Keep up the great work!
@12:10 I discovered it matters which edge you choose. Only two of them will result in the (near) vertical purple line being at the outside edge of the 1st sketch where you want it. Other edges will show the vertical purple line midway inside or at the origin.
Yes, this is correct.
Thank you! 100% new to this. I had re-watched this section many times trying to figure it out.
**edit** never figured it out and had to abandon the project for a different tutorial.
I still don't get it. How do you select the smaller line at the bottom (to make it purple alongside the longer vertical edge on the side?)
@@praigleo5883 You click on one of the bottom edges like the ones that make up a side of the octogon.
@@3DGladiator this is an issue of this tutorial. I just dont get the wierd selection.
Good tip! Thanks for the feedback. Best, Ben
thank you for explaining the interface and why something is the way it is. Too many of the tutorials are just do X then do Y. As soon as you try to do something yourself its a struggle. Once you understand what is going on and the thinking behind the interface things get a lot easier.
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching and your comment. Best, Ben
Thank you so much for helping a sophomore in high school!
Happy to help! Thanks for watching. Best, Ben
Great to hear! Thanks for watching and your comment. Best, Ben
This was very comprehensive. Well done!
Thanks for watching and your kind words! Best, Ben
Absolutely first class training video! So clear and yet so much skill shown which I can keep going back over. Big thanks and respect! Andy
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you very much for watching and your comment. Best, Ben
Great job on the video. Other 'get started in Fusion 360' videos are kind of dated and the software looks just different enough today to lose me. Yours was really well done. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful Kurt! Thanks for watching and your comment. Cheers, Ben
Wow, this software is amazingly powerful. Just bought a 3d Printer CNC machine and realized I have to learn Fusion 360, however, I think it will take some time. your tutorial is a great tool to get me started. Thanks.
Thanks for watching. Yes, it takes some time, but once you have a good understanding of the basics, building in Fusion is pure fun. Best, Ben
Thumbs up and subbed.
For an old AutoCAD R13 up to 2000 (Something version) user your videos is perfect!
Thank you!
Thanks for watching and your subscription. I just want to point out that I'm not gonna upload any new Fusion videos in the future. It's all crypto from now on. Best, Ben
Danke!
Markus, I have to say THANK YOU! You are the first one supporting me with a "Super Thanks" on this channel. The first one will always be remembered. Best, Ben
@@3DGladiator Well deserved Ben. This is by far the best Fusion tutorial I have ever seen.
This is so good, thank you very much!
I have to say this has been the most useful tutorial i have found to date, i really learned a lot and have been using fusion for a while now as a hobby! thank you!
You're very welcome!
Exceptional instruction vid. Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful!
I've been using F360 for a while now, but I learned a lot from this.
Thanks for watching and your comment. I'm glad it was helpful. Best, Ben
Thank you ! I just finished the tutorial.
Great job! Thanks for watching. Best, Ben
This is ultra magical. I never knew you could do all this...
Thanks for watching and your comment! Best, Ben
Wow! Awesome. It really helped me. I was trying to build something else, but because you chose an object that is not just a simple shape, the video covers everything. Thank you so much.
You're welcome! Thanks for watching. Best, Ben
thanks for your time and effort !! I am so grateful
My pleasure! Thanks for watching. Best, Ben
Thank you very much for making the best fusion 360 tutorials on youtube
I suspect this truly excellent video has been more of a tremendous help to more people than you realize. Thank you so much.
Thanks for your kind words Jeff, much appreciated!
Can confirm 👍🏼
Please support and buy him a coffee, this is generous you learn an extreme amount of current info with one example.
The best Fusion 360 tutorial for dummies like me I have found on RUclips. Thank you for creating that!
You're very welcome! Thanks for watching! Best, Ben
Great to hear! Thanks for watching. Best, Ben
Best, Ben
This is really EXCEPTIONAL content. Very informative, concise and comprehensive in a manageable size and pace. A real 5-star video. 👍👍💪💪
Wow, thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Happy New Year. Cheers, Ben
Wow! i learned so much through this tutorial! great job, I really appreciate it.
Glad it was helpful Thomas. Thank you very much for watching. Best, Ben
A bit hard to catch up but it definitely helped me to grasp onto a lot of the F360 workload!
And My entry exam will probably go very well, good lesson!
A really excellent tutorial! Lots of different examples of techniques, applied perfectly for explanation. Thank you very much.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching and your comment. Best, Ben
I had a uni project using this software, however they didn’t teach us how to use it. This video was an absolute life saver 🙏
Still great, i just finished the chamber part :D Love the tutorial, will finish it tomorrow :)
Great! Thanks for watching. Did you finish it?
@@3DGladiator Not yet, messed up the sketch for the lid somehow and got annoyed :D
GREAT work!
You're very welcome! Thanks for watching and your kind words. Best, Ben
Best, Ben
This is the best educational video on you tube!!! Clear with no missing parts !!! Thank you so much!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent tutorial thanks, really enjoyed this project!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching and you comment.
You're very welcome! Thanks for watching, your comment and your kind words. Best, Ben
Very good video, definitely worth watching as a beginner
Glad you think so! Thanks for watching and your comment. Best, Ben
Really liked this video, a good crash course in learning everything to make a model in one hit! I probably should have taken the advice and watched it through and then watched a second time to follow it step by step, but pausing and catching up in Fusion on the first go did work ok.
Real great tutorial ! Many operations, features and technics cover. Thank you.
You're very welcome! Thanks for watching. Best, Ben
Excellent tutorial! Thank you for being so precise and encouraging us to sit through your video first, then downloading Fusion. Subscribed!
Thanks for watching and your subscription. Please keep in mind that I'm not gonna upload new Fusion videos anymore. It's all about Crypto and NFTs from now on. Best, Ben
@@3DGladiator It's okay! We have investments in that space too so I'm sure I'll learn a lot from you! My new saying is: Forget Gold...I'm a Coin Digger! Bahahhhaa!
This amazing tutorial allowed me in a all new stage with fusion 360 ❤
Glad to hear! Thanks for watching and your comment. Best, Ben
Thank you for great explanation Sir!
Most welcome! Best, Ben
Great tutorial, I was able to use it to make my own design within a couple of hours by reverse engineering what you talk about, thanks!
Fantastic! Thanks for watching and your comment. Best, Ben
This is the best Fusion 360 tutorial I've found so far. Great job! Thanks for the quality content!
Thanks for watching and your kind words. I'm glad it is useful.
Wao i understand a lot of things with you, let me say you congratulation for this video is excellent.
Thank you! 😃 Glad to hear that.
honestly thank you so much. at the beginning i thought this kettle thing would be pretty hard to make, but you explained it so well, and now after just 12 hours of using fusion, i already am making stuff i had wanted to make long before i knew how to use fusion. Ive tried like 5 tutorials, none of them worked, i got too caught up in the beginning of others
This is exactly what I was hoping for this tutorial - to equip people with the skills they need to start working on their own projects. Thanks for watching and your comment. Best, Ben
@@3DGladiator Thank you so much, now I can actually unleash my ideas instead of just 3d printing stuff other people made! You're awesome
I think of all the tutorials that I have watched or gone through. Yours is the only on the has pointed out the space mouse. I have been using mine for some time, and for anyone the want's to learn 3D design software. It is the only way to go.
Thanks for your comment! I have just finished a new video where I talk about the SpaceMouse Enterprise Kit 2 and how to use it in Fusion. It will be available soon. I couldn't live without one. Best, Ben
Fantastic video. Thank You!
You are welcome!
Thanks for any insight.
that‘s the best tutorial that i have never met before!, thank you bro!!! well done!
Glad you liked it!
I can say that I've learned a lot form this video. THANK YOU.
