I saw a show on PBS & Buffalo Bob was so popular that when he had a heart attack and was resting at home the sponsors insisted that only Bob sell their products and they filmed the commercials at his house.

Anyone else think it's funny how David sounds so impressed that Bob performed for 13 years? like, little did he know he was going to host late night tv for a total of 33 years lol

I spoke to Buffalo Bob and had pictures with him in Boston at the Boston Expo on November 22, 1997, what a great person to talk to he said I'm here for you, you are my kids. I was 49 then and today I'm 74 and, so sad he passed away on July 30. 1998. I was so glad to talk to him. RIP

When he got to the part about the kids in the peanut gallery seeing it. That could've been ALOT WORSE!! To only have one kid shout, man he dodged a bullet BIG TIME!!! The poetic letter of explanation was hilarious!

Since Buffalo Bob did the voice of Howdy, and the show was live, I wonder how he was able to work his Howdy while being on camera. I'm assuming he wasn't a ventriloquist so when he did Howdy's voice, his lips can clearly be seen moving. My guess is that Howdy, and all the other puppet voices were pre-recorded and the sound engineers would do voice over whenever the puppets talked. So the puppeteers must have been well trained to match the mouthing of the voice over. That makes me wonder if there were times, and I'm sure their were many, where the mouth movement of the puppet were not in sync with the voice over.
