The mention of Ventaworm got me thinking: A creature that is the enemy of Ventaworm and has a science of Pigment/Color focus could be a very fun nod to the Stewart Semple/Anish Kapoor rivalry.
I'd love this.
genius.
Ooh yes
PLEASE YES
And it could be pink?
Is it just me, or did the section on inclined planes 4:51 just give us a sneak peek into the development of the game? That certainly looks like a playable character we’d be walking around as…
I don't know if you're going to see this as it's quite late but the first creature to come to my mind for a trebuchet was a grasshopper, with the elastic forces they use to launch themselves
As for how a Trebuchet Mon could work, the first idea I had was a pair of duo Mon of an Eagle and Tortoise whose main ability works in tandem with eachother similar to Dondozo and Tatsugiri. With it being a subversion of how Eagles drop Tortoises from high altitudes to break their shell, only the Eagle Mon is using the Tortoise Mon as ammo to break down a much larger target.
Mortle: the artillery turtle Mortar and turtle
Idk what could be eagle
Good idea!
Someone's been watching yugioh
Ideal friendship
every day that nortist uploads is a good day!
agreged
everyone knows that
For an electrical mon you can have a resistor that has a split evo into a capacitor or an inductor
I'll take this as my graduation gift. I'm graduating today. :)
Congrats!
@@aiartificialintelligence1963 Thank you!!!
Can't wait till my major Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering gets its own design. Keep up the great work.
Not sure if you've used this concept yet, but for the clockwise/ counterclockwise mon, I would definitely look into chirality in organic chem. Essentially, properties of molecules with the same structure differ based on if they're arranged clockwise or counterclockwise. Could definitely be an interesting addition to your region
dextro and laevo forms of said mon could be a fun idea ,kinda like lycanrock's alt forms
Also, could give them a unique ability "racemise" which buffs their stats when together in battle
And that's how the Fantastic Four starve.
This is the coolest scorpion fakemon I think I've ever seen. Namely that final stage.
We love The Trongle :D
The trongle
trongle
Process engineering uses a lot of thermodynamics, and a creature based on the refrigerant cycle would be so interesting. It could be like a heat pump with fire and ice typing, representing how heat is never “created”, but is transferred from one place to another.
Love this series, keep up the great work!
0:03 machination is not just a fancy word for machine
oh boy I love how the new video is here after I'm out of school
I really appreciate your voice and sense of humor, they bring a certain vibe to these videos that really brings them together.
You're literally better than my stem teacher
I know this isn't the focus of the video, but I love the Paper Mario-esque design and animation of the player avatar, I hope that stays in the final product
Every week I forget that you post on fridays, so it always is a nice surprise
5:14
And there you peak my interest again.
Be it Robot Wars or Battlebots, heavy or ant weight, there is something about these machines that are so facinating to watch.
Axes are one of my favorite things. Nice to see where engineering crosses over with my passion for armaments of antiquity LOL
i think it would be really cool to see another 3-stage mon based on the first three simple machines. or maybe a 3-stage based on the three types of levers, and a 2-stage based on the pulley and the wheel and axel
A trebuchet elephant using it's trunk could be a fun idea
Wow, finally i comprehend this topic!!!. Thanks nortist, now i master physics !!!!
5:29 - I can imagine a group of those ramplings forming some kind of long bridge/ramp to reach fruit at the top of a tree and share it with the nest.
GRAHHHHH I LOVE ENGINEERING!!!!! I LOVE COMBINDING MATH AND SCIENCE TO SOLVE PRACTICAL PROBLEMS!!!
Here's an idea for how you can incorporate the clockwise/counterclockwise thing for Scrupion: it should have a Clockwise Form with higher attacking stats and a Counter-Clockwise Form with higher defensive stats, and it switches between the two when it uses its signature move. Basically Aegislash lol, but it makes sense!
(going off the bases that the ramp example is from your game and changing direction is implemented like shown) You should use the XYZ concordant plane + mathematical flipping/mirroring/up or down-scaling on the plane to make a fakemon where is bilaterally split so only one side is viable until it turns, each side can be different, maybe a good and bad side.
Also the clockwise/counter-cloakwise fakemon sounds like a really fun idea.
You could possibly do something cool with daphnia and a trebuchet. I remember seeing a video about reversibility in movement and how daphnia is able to move in water the way it does specifically because its motion isn't 'reversible' so it doesn't essentially undo the movement it just gained by flicking its arm. The movement seems similar to a trebuchet.
The video was "The strange fluid dynamics of microscopic animals and other daphnia facts" by Steven Mould
loving this design a lot
Ooh, I see you already have character running in unity. Looks nice
Bro this is super good and I love it
And I love learning about this and just cool off and just learn and always love the music
We most definitely need an H-Bridge Fakemon. Starts as a button, then becomes an H-Bridge Centipede, and finally, some type of electrical circuit that leads to a trotoscope (dumb idea bc of a coding project I did a while ago involving code and building a trotoscope with a motor, breadboard, and circuit board.)
Need a dispenser Here
heck no.
heck yeah.
no way id be evolving my dopeass axe scorpion into the funny looking rolling droid from star wars
when you think about it a chainsaw is a weaponized version of a pulley system.
My project has type advantages divided across types and archetypes
Each creature has an archetype which has its own advantages with types dictating smaller, more intricate advantages and interactions
An archetype chart would be something like
Angel > Demon > Human > Angel
Then you'd have your regular Pokemon type charts
Water > Fire > Grass > Water
Because my RPG is inspired by TCGs, instead of an Item system the player will have a deck of 50 cards. At the start of the battle the deck will be shuffled and the player will draw a hand of 5, every subsequent turn they draw 1. Each turn they may play 1 card and select 1 move.
It will be interesting to see how these changes will effect how interactions happen in battle.
The thought of Stem subjects working as archetypes popped into my head when you showed that list is what intrigued me.
Question: Is it okay if you make a Leucochloridium inspired design for Stema?
Tinkaton for the lever is quite interesting 😅
Why did I imagine a vineboom when he said here’s the thing
cant wait for the civil engineer monster
love the scrupion defenetly i will like to have one !
Not the NoRtist VSauce arc
Great video
maybe for a trebuchet, make it a beetle?
I really like the designs showed off in this video! Though I wish the last stage was less humanoid and is thus my least favorite of the three
Stema could also be turned into steam so I think it would be cool if you did some art stuff to 👀
I feel like the screw evo stage should keep some of the sharp shape design of the wedge stage.
They look much less threatening with all those round shapes compared to its previous stage.
You could make one based off of other math topics such as percentages
*If you REALLY simplify the definition of trebuchet, Passimian could count as representing it in that it uses its arms to launch larger objects.*
*tho a Steel/Fighting or Geo/Fighting typed mon which combines a trebuchet with something like a crab could work*
Only just started watching these (they're great, btw,) and you mentioned making a 'mon that has to be clockwise or counter-clockwise at 7:05. Is there already a 'mon or two for chem/biochem chirality? Maybe one version is different type, and shares a reversed silhouette? If not, that could be cool.
Based Battle Bots reference.
Great vid and mons, but the final is a bit too similar to the spider monkey
What about an "Eevee" style mon that had different evolutions based on what type of simple machine you introduced it to?
rip in pepperonis bug type
Rip
I think it STEAM would be more fitting
S cience
T echnology
E ngineering

Because these creature collector project is a masterpiece 👌
they are going in my team
Helped with homework😂
Love engineering. I'm trying to be the best one, meaning about 13,000 patents, which'll be very fun!
I don't remember whether you had one already, but you could base some around popular computer viruses, like a worm or trojan horse! Maybe you can link it to something else as well...
this reminds me of skylanders typings
I REALLY want to play STEMA.
Is this the pseudo of the game? 3 stages and late evolutions made me think
An idea for having the clockwise / counter-clockwise matter, just have a male / female variant, male is clockwise etc..
0:38
*insert vsauce music *
Ah heck yeah I love battlebots
the TRONGLE
BATTLEBOT!!
Hmm, yes, the trongle
is that a game seak peak i see?
"trangle"
chirality doesnt exist in norts pokemon
yee
trongle
Trongle.
Woo early
This mon looks kinda like a pseudo
i absolutely adore your videos, your designs are incredibly charming
