I am simple, I see reuniclus I click
Sorry I am late
Yag
Simple as a cell lol
Man, the RNA went crazy for a second there
@@shinyian82 those ribosomes tho 🥰
I love that rejected flask design for Sinistea so much! It gives me fizzy feelings in my heart. ❤✨ Great work!
I love the idea of a Solosis being a Plant cell!
Hisuian mons may also not be convergent evolutions but ancestral versions of pokemon. (Eg. hisuian electrode evolved into having a clear bottom as poke balls stopped having wooden bottoms, but hisuian electrodes do not exist anymore because they no longer blend in)
Hisuian Growlithe is a dog that is slightly less domestic
Tbh, I think the Animal/Plant cell and fractal pokemon have some good feet to stand on
Just off the top of my head (P.S., not a STEM person in any way, just a person with a lot of thoughts)
For the cells, maybe you can have a sort of baby pokemon that resembles both an animal and a plant cell that then can evolve either into an animal or plant cell depending on an item (idk exactly if that's how it worked evolutionarily but could be a fun design?)
As for the fractal, maybe you can have a ghost/psychic type Octopus that uses the whole concept of fractals on it's skin to confuse ppl (cuz yk, they're really good at changing colour and stuff :D)
Anyways ye, I gots ideas, idk if they're good tho :|
since plants and animals are both eukaryotes, by definition there has to be a common ancestor. Nort mentioned in the video the "Last Eukaryotic Common Ancestor," which is essentially the design you proposed. Funny thing about it tho is that because eukaryotes are fairly diverse, a mon design like that could be useful if you want to catch lightning in a bottle and recreate Eevee's situation
@@SnoFitzroy oooo that just makes me think about an Eevee-like pokemon that turns into cells that resemble different types of creatures (off the top of my head, Plants, animals, fungi or maybe even some amoeaba or bacteria? :D
Idk tho, I’m not an expert in this lol 😅
best channel I found in the last months! you combine my two favourite interestes: pokemon and science. I just love everything about your project!
Hey, you should make a mon based on chirality. Alkitty (alkene) evolves into carbocat (carbocation) which evolves into enantiomeow (stereochemistry). It’d be super cool if enantiomeow had different forms for each isomer.
I adore the Solosis line and I unironically like Reunicot MORE than Reuniclus. Not that I don't love him, but your designs are so elegant and the inspirations are apparent immediately bc of your explanations! ❤❤❤
Same! And you just know that Reunicot has amazing physical stats in exchange for less good specials.
Solosis looks more like a pyramid the a orb
These regional variants look awesome. I love both Reunicot and the regional Relicanth. If you are concerned about copyright regarding existing pokemon, you can always make a new fakemon while still keeping its concept alive.
the cryogonal looks really cool not gonna lie, i would love to see it getting a new evolution, recursion + icicle could be a name for it
recursicle
I really liked the idea of the carbonated sinistea!
The Solosis line is one of my favourite psychic types and I absolutely adore the design or Reunicot.
*Honestly? All of them would be fun to see but I feel that fractals and plant cells could be the most interesting to work with. Easy, sure, but still fun*
funfact: solosis´german name is Monozyto and it evolves into Mitodos
The ingenious design of the aluminum beverage can never falters
I really want to see the Fractal design come back, it's awesome :D
It's so cool that Pokemon is able to transmit so much knowledge. Pokemon is really missing out on this educational content. Leaving it to the fans, as always.
I liked the idea of a carbonation "Pokémon" that looks like a can, maybe scrap the names and drop the similarities and it could be a Stemiam? (idk how you call your critters) and for the name maybe something like Coda? As in Co2 + soda
With the plant solosis versus the animal solosis, three actually is a sea slug that Kinda goes through both because it is able to make organelles on its self that are able to absorb sunlight and do photosynthesis, which is usually a process. We only associate with plants and not animals, so it would be a great pokemon idea so you could teach people of that sea slug species and how it works
I like the Poison-typing on the regional Tea line as it reminds me of how carbonation boosts acidity.
My favorite would have to be relicanth and also your art style is pretty good keep it up 😊
7:04
OH MY GOSH FRACTALS
yeahhhhhh !!!
So we back in the mines, swinging our pickaxe from side to side, side side to side.
square-losis
Great vid as usual! What about an Elephant’s toothpaste based mon, I’ve always loved that experiment and how it shows the purpose of enzymes in such a fun way.
currently sick and binging your videos, and I see a brand new one pop up!!
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH SCIENCE BASED REGION
I would love to see a fakemon that is cute, but it evolves to a beast when you release it and capture the evolution where you first caught it
Difference between regional variations and convergent evolution appear to be like this to me.
Regional variations keeps to a similar idea but differ on how they are represented. Examples Ninetails is still an elemental fox but of ice, rapidash is still a unicorn just with more modern interpretation, Muk is still sentient slime.
Convergent evolution is 2 totally unrelated Pokémon that looks similar.
Your Solosis evolution line fits firmly in the region variation camp as it is still based on cells. Just a different twist on it.
You pointed this out like a minute after I posted
The cell concept could be cool as a pair of version exclusive creatures. Or even a evolutionary line with a divergent path akin to Gloom or Tyroge.
omg i love the soda one its so cute. a coca cola shiny or something wouldve been adorable
I like your H. Voltorb emoji design
this is a really cool concept !! i love the idea that solosis is specifically an animal cell so you made a plant cell version of it. i guess i always knew it was an animal cell but i never really thought about it like that !
I definitely think just aome slight tweaking could let you use the soda mons the general shape and idea is very much its own thing and the idea as a mon is super fun, id definitely have one on my team
If the Galarian Legendary Birds were introduced after convergent mons, I'd have called them Articuatro, Zinco and Molseis 1:01
i can't believe i've never thought about a plant cell version of reuiniclus, it's genius!
I like the regional Solosis line and Reunicot, Relicanth and Sinistea; not a fan of the regional Polteageist and Cryogonal though, this Cryogonal looks more like a form you can find alongside the regular one rather than a regional form, and Polteageist has the slender appearance of a woman with the water acting as hair and the bottle as the bottom torso like a mermaids tail.
For the fractal pokemon, you could do something like a basket star
Oh, the sinistea line is very cute. Too bad my regional sinistea is spoken for (uses rooibos tea to become a rock-type).
i don’t know if it’d fit super well with the STEM theme, but i adore fizzy Sinistea. maybe leaning more into the nucleation thing could help them fit in? that or maybe giving them a beaker or test tube
if yoiu wanted to keep aspects of the sinistea regional you could lean into show-offy experiments and have an elephant evo for elephants toothpaste
Aww man, reunicot looks cool.
a bottle rocket creature would be really cool, so would a balloon car, that thing where you can use a balloon and use like baking soda and vinegar or something to make it go zooom.
These vids are very good😊
I like te concept For solosis and cryogonal
6:54 So we back in the mines
Got a pickaxe swinging from side to side
Side side to side
Missed opportunity to evolve your Relicanth into a new terrestrial mon that can walk
I think we're unitless is my favorite psychic type, and I think it'd be crazy to see him in pretty much any other orientation, personally if I were going to design a plant-based reunicless I would have had him lean more into physical defense and offense
Best poketuber uploaded again :D
i feel like a stema region machamp would be hella cool!
VERY NICE
you could reuse the plant cell idea combined with adding a complimentary animal cell one as well
Watch mamix to see 10000 liters of cola spilling all over the field
Coolest channel on youtube
I would say a normal or a fighting type would possibly be complimentary to Reunicot.
I would be interested to see a original redo of that soda mon
MY BABY RELICANTH GETTING LOVE???
Y'know, the romhack Blazing Emerald also did a very similar plant-based Solosis variant- although their Reuniclus has more fruit-based forms rather than beans. Still, great minds think alike, clearly!
The design of your Solosis evolution line reminds me of Yugioh's @ignister archetype.
1:04 Alolan Sandshrew & Alolan Sandslash feel semi-convergent to me
I always forget coelacanth still exist, so that modern picture of one really threw me off
Like they were supposed to have died during the asteroid strike and just said “lol, thanks but no”
Could you please tell me here you get your background music from? Do you make it yourself?
Sinistea could have probably been used without issue. It looks pretty unique.
I hope Jerma makes a cameo in every video
I'm surprised you didn't mention carbonic acid during the segment on carbonation!
I think you can give Sinistea different flavours like alcreamie (orange, grape.etc)
I love soda polteageist so much ❤️❤️❤️
I had this idea a year ago where a regionionle soliosis that was based of cancer
You should remake the reunicot line so you can use it in your region, i think the concept is really cool.
I LOVE the tiktaalik relicanth so much, id love to see a tiktaalik mon in your finished game :0
I love reuniclus line
So you do these every Saturday?
sinisoda is cute. cute!
I think you should definitely add a soda mon
This is the second soda Sinistea I've seen
Dangit, about a month ago I was sketching some rough concepts for regional variants and one of them was a plant cell-Reuniclus line.
I’m still gonna use it since it directly ties into the organelle fakemon I’m making for the region but I’m gonna have to brace myself for the “you copied” comments lmao.
Yay, jelly boi!
A plant cell solosis is genius
Has millimit appeared before?
Hey N0rtist, just a doubt! Why your mons have 3 habilities? It's not too OP or Too complex?
The sinistea is so cute 🥹
I would like to see the soda can redone for your game, not carbonation, the soda can
Weren’t regional variants like animal adaptions
What about a poison type regional variant of reunicles line based on bacteria or fungus
i like the squished relicanth
Should call the soda mons, like... Sinisoda and Po.. Polsodageist? Poltersoda?
I like plant cell reuniclus.
the "convergent mons need to be the opposite type" is just a coincidence imo, its such a weird rule idk
You should make a discord server for everyone to communicate on this cool and fun idea, seems like the people who enjoy this like i do would be super fun
Definitely agree the cells are divergent, not convergent.
Ooh is that new outro music i hear?
Today I learned the red spots on Relicanth were not eyes. I am havin a moment.
Regional forms come from the original version of the pokemon living in that pokemon region
Gotta do fractals
I liked the bomb sinistea
I have an early mark now.
grass type solois
The fractal creature could have a cool evolution of variant based on the 'Einstein tile'. It's a shape that can tile the plane but the isn't able to repeat the way a hexagon or a square can. Or the Penrose pattern which is a collection of shapes with the same property.
First thing i see is lime candy corn
Will there be anything inspired by Cambrian/Ediacaran animals in this series?
There was one a few videos ago, an Hallucigenia creature.
