Brilliant, thank you so much! Put off looking at my dishwasher but after watching your video, I said why not. Exactly what you said, a bad solder point. Re soldered and now it works like a charm!
Been looking at my dishwasher for a week, went through everything. Everything checked good, found this video and my problem was in exactly the same spot. So thanks for the video huge help!!!
Like and subscribed. Found the same exact issue just wasn't sure wtf it went on the board. Re-soldered and fixed my issue. I had previously replaced the element and no change. Dishwasher is 6 years old. I figured what the hell I'll keep the new one in. Any way man thank you. I had no corrosion whatsoever but the burnt terminal and mine was twice as bad as the one in this video. Take Care!!
Thank you very much. This fixed our problem. 'wish I would have seen this video before swapping in a new heating element. I should have known. We had a virtually identical problem with our wall oven not working. It makes you wonder how many appliances get discarded every year due only to inadequate solder connections?
Glad I was able to help even though it was a little late. This has affected multiple things for me personally. It's always a good starting point to church the board but most sadly don't try. That's why those places that replace your appliances could probably make a killing from simple issues like this.
I tested the heating element and the high limit thermostat and they were good. Then l saw the unsoldered joint. It's time for you to get a multimeter so that you can check parts before replacing them. It's easy to learn how to use it. Digital with the clamp is easier and better.
@@ranimouf Digital is definitely the way to go if you're not familiar with Analog Multi-meters. I myself, use a Fluke 87 meter with a magnetic strap that I can stick to the appliance wall for "hands free" convenience. Fluke has a plethora of accessories and adaptors to fit that meter also, in addition to the standard "points" probes I have needle point "penetrators" able to penetrate heavy neoprene outer jacketing to read Shore Power cables, I also have a set of "alligator clip" leads for clamping onto most terminal types.
well aware of the "Mother Board" issue, how's about discussing the troubleshooting path you took to get to your finding the bad solder joint, like testing component parts germane to the heater circuiting?
Thank you so much. I had the same problem. I think when using the high heat that pin heats up which caused the solder joint to melt . this is a design defect which Frigidaire has to fix by using a stronger solder. Thanks again.
If this video has helped you save money or time, I would appreciate you clicking the *_thanks_* button above!
Absolutely unreal. I watched this before contacting my landlord or a repair man and fixed it for zero dollars. Thank you so much.

If your dishwasher temp is getting high enough to melt solder, all your plastic parts would melt also, solder
Big help
Good to hear! Thanks for taking the time to comment and supporting my channel!
That's a short term "fix". That heater relay needs to be replaced or the problem will get worse.
You very well could have that right.
