Very helpful, I was able to eliminate a few steps. I turned off breaker, removed the 4 screws and pulled out the dishwasher (whoever installed it left enough drain and water line to pull out comfortably), I didn't mess with the junction box and wires and drain hose in the front and went straight to the element connections on the side. Took about 10 min.

I don't get why he takes everything apart? Why can't I just change the part I need the ring

Do not follow these instructions. They are unnecessarily complicated. I just repaired my dishwasher following someone else's much simpler instructions. All I had to do was to pull the dishwasher half-way through while still connected to everything and change the element, safely and quickly. Look for other videos. You don't have to unplug and uninstall your dishwasher to do this rather simple repair.

@@repairclinic YOU DON'T NEED TO UNPLUG IT. JUST BRING DOWN THE BREAKER AND THERE IS NO POWER TO GIVE YOU A SHOCK...

Why do they have to make things unnecessarily difficult?! I see no reason why the dishwasher has to be completely disconnected and pulled out when you can cut the power, remove the bottom plates and unscrew the element and replace it. I’m a woman and I can do this easily.

I need to replace one of the terminals (shown at 4:30), but I cannot locate that part on a parts diagram anywhere. How can I find where I can buy one of those parts? Thanks!!

Probably just have to get a whole new element or attach your own terminal somehow (solder probably)

@@awesometime167 Thanks. Rigged a new one up, but ended up buying a new one a little while after. Thanks.
