A Cadian, a Catachan and a Death Korps Guardsman want to become Acolytes of an Inquisitor. They get tested in multiple Situations and master all of them.
Then they get their last Task. The Inquisitor hands a Autopistol to each of them and says: "Behind this door is your Wife tied to a Chair. Go in and execute her to prove your loyalty to the Emperor."
The Cadian goes in and comes back 10 Minutes later. "I cant do it I love her to much". Then the Catachan goes in and comes back after 30 Minutes. "I cant do it. This is to much for me!" Finally the Death Korps Guardsman goes in and comes back after 2 Hours.
The Inquisitor, beeing curious what took him so long, asks the DKoK Guardsman what he did all the Time. "Well the Autopistol was empty so I had to beat her to death with one of the Chair Legs!"

@@XeranDereth the pistol was empty as it had to bullets to begin with. It was the classic prove you'll do anything but no damage is actually done. But the kreigsman, as they do, took it a bit too literally.
Blank Blanky I very much doubt the inquisition wouldn’t actually want you to kill your wife. They seem more like “merc that bitch NOW” kind of people.

I still love how the Space Wolves basically told the Inquisition to sod off, killed an Inquisitor-Lord in open battle and basically said they'd do it again if needed. When the Inquisition went crying to the Powers That Be, they were told to suck it down and leave the Space Wolves alone. (Bonus points because the Inquisition was 110% in the wrong but are too self important and corrupt to realize it)

Just a little extra to the video, the inquisition does have some ranks that they use, though they're mostly informal, the inquisition runs on a seniority system, where the oldest and most decorated inquisitors are at the top, with troops of investigators and agents under them, they're a very political organization, so, elder inquisitors tend to have lots of sway in how the group as a whole operates, though that power is often limited to what Ordo they belong to, since a Xeno Inquisitor has little to no say in Maleus business, though seniority is above all things taken into consideration, since you have to be either very good at your job or be truly blessed by the God Emperor to live to see old age as an inquisitor.
Also, some inquisitors have unique tittles that where placed on them, like how Torquemada Coteaz holds the official tittle of Lord Inquisitor, making one of the leaders of the Ordo Maleus, and also holds the title of High Protector of the Formosa Sector, which kind of makes him a general in the imperial guard, though only his tittle as a Lord Inquisitor is actually taken into consideration in the Imperium at large.

Thank you for making these Exploring Warhammer 40k videos. I have always been interested in the lore and setting so it is nice to finally get some information about the universe. I recently started working a 2nd part time job at a bookstore and I find myself curious about the 40k books as well. Please keep the info coming!

Hey TES, I've been following for about a year, and I think you should make some WH40k videos on narratives that showcase topics like the Inquisition on the individual level. A lot of your SCP-related videos have this type of content in the form of research logs and other, similar descriptions, and I believe that the universe of 40k is best brought to life in the narratives that draw from and push the rich lore into interesting people, settings, etc.
Regarding the Imperial Inquisiton, the Eisenhorn novels are some of the best out there. Perhaps you've already planned this type of video for a later release, but I wanted to say something since you're such a talented writer and have great skills in narrative and storytelling. Hope you read this. Thanks and please keep up the good work!

The 40k universe has just been put on the list as an official universe to go to, you know for hardcore badass motherfuckers out there.

I'll try to explain how the inquisition figures out what is heresy and what is not. If look sus its heresy and if it doesn't it still is heresy and if you find out it wasn't heresy move on because prevention is still better than a cure.
Some inquisitors want to use xeno weapons or xeno tech and some inquisitors wants to use chaos relics there some weird inquisitors in the imperium
